Burritos here are top notch. You can't go wrong with any of the meat options. What makes these burritos the best though is the layer of Oaxacan cheese that gets melted in a thick layer in the burrito. Don't sleep on their salsas either, they are spicy but ideal to drown your burrito in. Add in a cold Jumex drink and you are set. They've got everything: authentic corn tortillas for the tacos, incredible tortas, and even buffalo wings with fries. My favorite was the steak quesadilla. Steak was perfectly tender and well-seasoned and the cheese blend was more authentic than most Athens locations. Owners are incredibly friendly and the market has a wide variety of items. read more

Inexpensive Mexican Supermarket with Carnicería (butcher shop), taqueria, and Panadería (bakery)... great selection of Mexican products that includes fresh produce too... Carniceria has really good meat, I recommend the arrachera (skirt steak) for fajitas/carne-asada (steak) tacos... the taqueria is legit with many entrees(burritos, rolled tacos, sopes, etc.), they even have menudo and birria on weekends and have many taco options all week! This place is authentic as it gets. Huge supermercado and an excellent butcher shop. If you're looking for cheap cuts of meat, this is the place to go. There is a deli style counter where tortas and tacos can be ordered. The torta is incredible. It has onions, avocado, lettuce, tomato, cheese, hotdogs, and a fried egg on it along with your choice of meat. Cheap and reliable. read more

This is a typical mercado for the area with a variety of hispanic goods and a carniceria. Low review is due to me buying a good amount of chicharrones from the counter here, all stale to the point of being inedible. They went straight into the garbage, not suitable for even canine consumption. I would be wary of any perishables here, including the pastries, chances are they have been sitting there for weeks. I did get some good El Canton pupusa cheese, so one star for that. read more

I was getting something out of storage just behind here around lunch, and ran in to grab some tacos. Carnitas were the best I've had in a long, long time, and al pastor was good, served with typical jalisco style salsas- very hot! I used to live in Mexico and this is certainly authentic. The folks behind the counter speak enough English too. Also picked up some Gloria's candies- goat's milk pecan caramels- I am always on the lookout for these since they can be hard to find.
