    Pizza

We have been here 3 days in a row. This place truly doesn't disappoint. The pull for us was that the food was delicious and fairly priced! Which is very difficult to find in Tulum because eating out is expensive and equivalent to US prices. Location: central downtown Tulum and right off the Main Street. Also easy street parking for vehicle, bikes or etc. We never had an issue finding a parking spot for our vehicle. Price: affordable. We paid about $40/50 USD with tip for each meal. But we also ordered a lot of food for two people. Our meals usually consisted of an appetizer, main dish, 2 pizzas and drinks. Ambience: very picturesque. It almost looks and feels like a little jungle inside. They also offer indoor covered seating and outdoor seating in their garden area. Overall everything we tried was delicious. Caprese salad - absolutely delicious and tasted fresh and delightful each time we tried it. Pizza - we had tried 6 different pizzas. Our favorite was pepperoni & the hydra pizza option. But they all have their own unique taste and flavor. Honestly you won't be disappointed with whatever option you choose. Bruschetta - a little different from what I'm used to but still as delicious. The bread had just the right crunch and the topping was very fresh and delicious. Pasta & Meatballs - pleasantly surprised with this dish because it's hard to perfect good pasta. But it was cooked just right and the flavor was there! This was my husbands favorite dish! Overall, give this place a try because you won't be disappointed!

Tropical punch - came with a sprig of rosemary that they set alight.

Amazing pizzas and cocktails. Came here for dinner twice, pizzas are wood fired, thin-ish base (which I prefer) the dough has really good flavour as do the toppings. Hubby and I got two pizzas to share both times, couldn't finish on either occasion. Drinks were on point. Mojitos are fresh, tropical punch was delish. Good vibe, just remember to apply the mozzie repellant thick if dining at night as they don't have anything going in the garden area or main section to keep them away.

Excellent service, food was amazing, very delicious pizzas, really cozy place and not expensive at all. Excelente servicio, la comida estuvo súper buena, las pizzas están deliciosas, un sitio muy acogedor y para nada costoso.

Vegetarian pizza on the top and the bottom was olives, mushrooms, artichoke, ham and I added pepperoni as an extra

Tucked away on Ave Kukulcan a block away from the hustle and bustle of Ave Tulum is La Hydra. I went for the pizza and was not disappointed. It was delicious. I discovered this place far to late in my vacation to have the opportunity to go back but they're at the top of my list of restaurants to visit when I return to Tulum!

OKAY THIS PLACE IS OPEN FOR BREAKFAST in the morning for simple but delicious breakfast!!!! We were here for five days and ate breakfast here every day. They have the BEST smoothies and aguas frescas at the most reasonable prices. The staff was attentive and friendly and everything we ate was so good. Definitely recommend to anybody looking to eat LOCAL and not at the touristy places near the beach.

Came here for dinner around 6pm with a friend. We had just arrived in tulum a couple hours ago and we're desperate for food. We found this hidden gem a couple blocks from our Airbnb. As a New Yorker I was a bit skeptical of the pizza but I was pleasantly surprised at how good the pizza was! It really exceeded my expectations and was on par with some of the best NY brick oven pizzas I've ever had! There's a canopy section for if it rains with multiple fans to keep you cool. The host/bartender is bilingual and was extremely friendly and helpful towards us. A great welcome to Tulum!

Craving pizza while in Tulum. So started searching up for any pizza spots in the area. My girlfriend happened to find this spot and we decided to give it a shot. Do not regret coming here one bit. The vibes were 10/10. Chill music playing loud but not too loud where you can not conversate. The staff members immediately welcomed us and seated us. We got 2 margaritas with Don Julio Reposado and they were great! Not bad at all for the price point! Then we ordered a classic Pepperoni pizza to share and the size is great for 2 people, especially for the price! The pizza itself has to be one the best pizzas I have ever tasted. The cheese tasted great, sauce was fantastic, how a real sauce should taste. The crust was nice, flavorful, and TOASTY! Couldnt ask for anything else in a pizza tbh. Me and my gf will definitely be back before leaving Tulum. Highly recommend this place, you will not regret it one bit!

Dope spot! Awesome friendly atmosphere and drinks are on point! The set up has that treehouse vibe and it's done well. Nice and cozy but not crammed. Good music too!

This pizza was one of the best I have ever had something about the cheese and the sauce makes it super good. Esta pizza fue una de las mejores que he tenido algo sobre el queso y la salsa lo hace súper bueno.

But the dinner my daughter and I had was delicious. We were seated right away. Up to the roof top we go. There are 4 levels to this restaurant. Each has their own vibe. The service was top notch, always attentive to our needs. Everyone was very friendly here. This restaurant is great for large groups. They have a number of rooms that can accommodate 15 to 20 people in an intimate setting. The roof top view is cool if you are a people watcher. Give it a try, you will be glad you did.

Out front of Good Burger, it was hard to tease out which menu was for what restaurant, but I guess it didn't matter because the second floor was the bar where the night cap was made and brought upstairs. Up on the rooftop, the setting was whimsical, naturey, romantic. It was great to sit on cushiony seats under dim lighting with lots of greens hanging above and on the walls. The street view below was, well, of the street. For a weekend night, it was desolate and for awhile, we had the whole roof to ourselves (minus the two servers with nothing to do). For my one drink, I selected a mojito swoon (ginger, lime). It was pretty much a very refreshing lemonade with only a slight hint of alcohol - but that's the theme in most cocktails I had in Tulum. Our poor waitress came by several times to check in on us out of boredom, which was nice, but also weird at the same time given it was clear the place was dead, so it seemed like she was coming to our table too often.

The space was gorgeous... like rustic, jungle chic. It seemed a little out of place on the main strip (it looked very different than most of the other places), but that's what drew us in. They had a menu of inventive cocktails that featured local ingredients (guanabana, mango, coconut milk) and lots of different types of mezcal. The drinks were delicious and the music and atmosphere was awesome. It felt like a Brooklyn bar transplanted into Mexico (sorry if I sound like a snobby New Yorker :-)). There were only 2 other people in the bar, the bartender, Ulysses, and the owner (I think), Jonathan. They were 2 super friendly young guys. They gave us a brief history of Mezcal and told us all about the different local ingredients they used. I think this place only opened a few months ago. It seemed like business may be a bit slow, but we drove by late at night a few days later and it was pretty crowded. The crowd was all tourists, European expats, etc... no locals... I didn't even see any locals working there. I loved the bar, but I love supporting locals, so I feel a little odd giving such a colonized place 5 stars, so solid 4 stars from me. If you're looking for a cool a cool bar to have a tasty cocktail, definitely check it out.

We did make a reservation, although the space was surprisingly empty at 7pm. We do know we came as the season is winding down, but for how good this food is, this place should always be packed. Our waitress was delightful - attentive, helped to explain every dish and the dishes all came out quickly but nothing felt rushed. The vibe is very jungle chic with open air seating, slightly covered by large leaf structures. Lots of candles and mood lighting. The menu offered quite the diverse selection of food options with a focus on traditional but elevated Mexican flavors. We started with some signature cocktails - my husband the mustachio whiskey drink and I had the wildfire. Both were perfectly mixed with great flavors. I will note the wildfire was more tart than spiced and did come with a fun flame element (sadly no pic). Also of note, the passionfruit that is used in this drink is a local fruit that is far more tart than other passionfruit you may have experienced. If you like a tart refreshing drink, this is your pick. We shared many dishes - the first was the pork rind with street corn dip. WOW. The pork rind seasoning was absolutely delicious and the serving size of street corn was epic. So rich, so delicious. We also shared the fried avocado - truly, the local avocados are heaven sent and the pumpkin seed purée was perfectly developed and spiced. Next up, larger dishes included the corn ravioli - this was so rich, and swimming in delicious truffle flavor. The raviolis were huge and there were 6 of them. The foam and nest elements while very pretty were also equally delicious. Not something that I often say when it comes to foam on plates. Finally, we had the shrimp main - I cannot put into words how amazing this dish was. The sauce was spicy, garlicky, and clearly developed over many hours. You could taste the time put into this. The shrimp were so tender the heads and tails just fell off. It comes with a side of bread and you will want to soak up every drop of this sauce with the toasted bread. If you are looking for elevated local flavors that have been carefully and meticulously curated then you must have a meal at WILD.
