La Hacienda Real is a cool spot, great location, good parking area. The place is spacious to take a group of friends and get couple of tables in an enclave or a table/booth. There is a gigantic menu of food options, something to make every one happy for all the vegetarians as well as non-vegetarians. The food portions are generous and you will be stuffed walking out of this place. The drinks are good and strong. The decor is color with some pictures etc. depicting the Mexican culture. The service staff are nice and helpful.

We rolled in with a party of 7 on a Friday night and were seated within minutes--even though the place was busy. The restaurant is huge with tons of seating, colorful walls, music going--it honestly felt like the perfect spot for anything from a family dinner to a girls' night out or even a casual weekday meal. As we sat down, our table was set with chips and salsa (of course), plus beans and this coleslaw-y dip situation that was a little weird but actually delicious. The menu is stacked--pages and pages of options (with photos as well), and the drink menu is just as loaded. Portion sizes? MASSIVE. We all left with to-go boxes. I got the steak fajitas which were flavorful thanks to the marinade, but heads up--mine had a lot of onions and the steak was a bit chewy. That said, the rice and beans on the side were delish. Overall, it was a solid night. We were seated fast, had plenty of space, and got to hang out, chat, and laugh as a fam without feeling rushed. Can't beat that.

The food was very good and flavorful. Authentic taste. Service was good, staff was friendly and attentive. Beautiful and clean environment. Large portions as well! Margs were good, some stronger than others. Over all good food and drinks, would recommend!

Got my order to go! Kinda disappointed in the level of acceptance of quality of sliced avocado's for togo orders! I live less than 5 minutes away, so I highly doubt the avocado would oxidize this fast, as the slice you gave me was pretty pretty rough looking! I kinda wish you would have just given me guacamole so it would have been hidden better!

Came for dinner at around 7 pm. Ample parking. Juan the young host may need some coaching on how to welcome folks. You don't start a conversation with a customer you don't know by saying ' what do you want?' with some attitude. lol! I immediately let him know...calmly...how he could improve. Stephanie took over and led us to our booth by the window facing the busy road nearby. She was friendly and quickly brought us the chips and salsa to start with. I love the authentic decoration they have around the restaurant. The custom made booths, chairs, bright colors, paintings, bird carvings, etc. The background Mexican music was just the right tempo and volume. They did a good job bringing out the authentic Mexican theme. We settled for good ol' water for drinks, but if you are a Margarita fan, they have amazing, large-portion adult drinks. I also like how they have pictures of their food and drink items on the menu. That helps when you can't decide on what to get. We knew what we wanted and ordered the following, which I'd recommend. They do have healthy options too. - $22.95 Birria: This is a meat stew with chunky beef in red chile sauce served with rice, beans, lettuce , tomato, cilantro, onions, peppers, lime, and tortillas. It is as authentic as they come. You can find it in the menu under the 'Mexican Favorites' . This is my second time ordering it and it didn't disappoint. Huge portion, great taste. I never finish it though and end up carrying out. - $14.95 Poco#2 Quesadilla with shredded beef. This is my son's go-to meal. Served with rice, pinto beans, sour cream and guacamole. He got the large portion with corn tortillas (Gluten free). He enjoyed every bite of it. Overall, great food. Will definitely come back. Oh, Juan was super friendly towards the end. I bet my talk with him resonated :).

Great authentic taste. Service is outstanding. Clean and welcoming atmosphere. Well priced plenty of parking. The Cadillac Margaritas are the best. Salsa and refried beans with chips to start. Vegitarian selection menu included.

Extensive menu and delicious veggie fajitas! There's a heap of veggies and really enjoyed the Mexican rice and thin fresh tortillas. Enjoy making the fajitas at home. The guac was tasty too! Crowd-pleaser with large family and will order from here again!

Everyone probably knows by now that I fractured my ankle and I can't drive. But I still have shit to do y'all! So I called my mom and made a date with her. She drives, I promise to buy lunch, it's a win-win. I wasn't too bright. I left the shopping bag full of the 3 Macys return items at home. That's not the end of the world. I still forced my mom to pick out an expensive purse. She made a huge fuss about it when really, after my discounts cost me $9.00. I also got my iPhone 13 on this outing at T-Mobile so big win. We both agreed that Mexican sounded good but where to go? Thank you Yelp. My mom refuses to go to a cart where most of the good Mexican places usually are. I'm totally not familiar with Beaverton so we ended up here. I could tell as soon as I walked in the door that I had been to one of its chains before and that I probably wouldn't be impressed here either. I visited with my sister, her partner and my parents several years ago at the Salem location. This is one of those Americanized Mexican restaurants. The kind that heaps gobs of cheese on everything. Even my mom who probably wouldn't enjoy authentic Mexican cuisine remarked that the tamale was mostly cornmeal. So there you go. Even a connoisseur of Americanized Mexican food wasn't impressed. As for me, I had the chicken mole. It was super sweet. I was famished so I didn't send it back or take it out on the server. That would be just rude. Hopefully they read their reviews and tweak their recipes. I will say this: the margarita gave me a buzz. 2022 - Review # 4

    Shrimp burrito subbed in fish

This restaurant has been around awhile so decided to give it a try. I've often seen customers come out of the place. The staff are friendly, the chairs are booth style with a deep sunken in cushion. Chips and salsa and side of bean dip (refried beans) were average not great Burrito came out looking appetizing but after a few bites I found mostly sautéed onions and peppers. There was less than an ounce of fish inside. I ordered the shrimp burrito but asked to substitute white fish. The fish smelled foul and tasted off. As others have mentioned the prices are high and at $20 for a seafood menu entree this dish was all rice, beans and fajita veggies smothered in cheese. The lack of salt and other seasonings was evident. The quality of food made for a miserable experience.

There are quite a few Mexican themed restaurants and food trucks within a mile or two. There is a large Mexican population living here and Mexican workers are all over the place. So to stand out a business would need to really separate themselves from the herd. That is, they need to stand out in a positive way. This place is a massive fail in that regard. I happen to enjoy Mexican cuisine a lot. I always appreciate being surprised by an amazing, tasty, reasonably priced, filling Mexican restaurant. There are several nearby neighborhood Mexican places that provide that experience consistently. This is not one of them. You will find unremarkable food here. Indifferent wait stall. A boringly average menu. Smaller portions at premium prices. Nothing to see here folks. This restaurant has had coupons in the local shoppers every week for decades. So when I decided to check this place out I showed up with one of those coupons. If I recall it was a coupon that took a dollar or two off the meal price if you spent more than a certain amount and ordered a specific set of items. So at checkout time they declined to accept the coupon because I ordered a medium drink and not a large. Huh? Rare for a business to use coupons to completely alienate new customers! Do I care about the two bucks that they chiseled out of me? No I do not. Would I ever patronize a business that is this out of touch with what good customer service is? No. Never been back. Never will. What the heck, Mazatlan has an unlimited supply of new customer prospects coming by so they don't need me, right? What a shabby outfit. YMMV.
