Came here w/ family and apparently they only have the buffet Sundays. We all opted to get a platter for our big party. Had different types of meat, nopales, beans, onions & guacamole not impressed food was lackluster. Meat extremely over cooked which made it dry and tough. I almost lost my dentures... sangria was too watered down. Our host was very nice and welcoming, but he made up prices for meals and we got charged more than what he said. After I brought this up, he denied such allegation but was nice enough to remove a few bucks from our check. The place is great to walk around, take pictures and to just chill and have a few drinks. I've heard from family members that the breakfast buffet Sundays is wayyy better. Not sure if I'll be back anytime soon. I got stung by a bee so be careful as they have a large amount of them just flying around.

What a beautiful and pleasant garden style restaurant with the most delicious and well cooked food, exceptional presentation, excellent service and great prices to boot! My friends and I wound up here by chance, almost didn't find it, but all of us were so glad we did! It's hard to detect from the dirt road where it's located. But just past the dip (a dry river), it will be on the right in the midst of large oaks and what looks like it could be a small hostel. Once you drive in it's a paradise for those who love gardens, plants, flowers, fountains and garden sculptures. Most of the dining area is outside, so they're open for breakfast and lunch only. They do have an indoor dining room and a large place for events. However we were the only customers at 1 PM in December (off season). I had the ribeye which was absolutely delicious and cooked as requested, served on a hot cast iron skillet. The mashed potatoes, veggies and fruit were served on a separate plate with a beautiful presentation. The mashed potatoes were shaped like a pear, covered with bread crumbs and with a sprig of mint on top to look just like a pear! The atmosphere was very pleasant and our group had a wonderful time. We all enjoyed our food. I will definitely make a point to return when in the area again.

What an absolutely gorgeous place to have breakfast! It feels like you're eating in your own backyard. Seriously. This spot serves up breakfast buffet-style so grab a plate and wander around the beautifully decorated tables. They're packed full of trays and plates serving up pretty much anything you'd want. Fruits, meats, chilaquiles, beans... you get the idea. There are also different stations for tortillas and quesadillas and one for omelettes and eggs. This spot is great for large groups because there is TONS of seating. Just when you think you've seen the whole place, you turn a corner and there's more! Also, service was awesome. We never waited long for anything and they were quick to clean up plates and cups. After you're done eating, wander around the cute little marketplace where they have locally handmade items as well as tons of flavored wine. You can try as many as you want! I would definitely recommend La Hacienda. It's a great spot to fill up before you drink alllllll the wine!

3.5 stars. I came here with my wine bus tour group for brunch buffet. Lots of seating and a variety to choose from including a quesadilla station and omelet station. The servers work hard and try to be helpful.

I highly recommend this place for breakfast. It's beautiful!!! I would definitely consider calling for a reservation for tables outside by the view. Inside is nice too, but definitely recommend outside. Food is delicious.

Inside buffet - chilaquiles, barbacoa, besaba, and different guisados.

I didn't realize you needed a reservation to come here but Nathan who owns this beautiful property with his vintner wife opened up their table for the best tasting we ever had! Each pour was delicious and we also got their charcuterie board which is not on the Malva menu but you can request. Nathan was very descriptive of their wine and praised his wife on creating so many of their wines. He made it clear that this is a woman owned vineyard and he just helps out. This made us chuckle because we all are married and would love for our husbands to praise us like he did! The vineyard is very resourceful and does clean practices for winemaking making it shine in their wines. I ended up going home with their Julio wine. I can't wait to try it at home and you can be sure we'll be back!

One in particular loved to ask for head scratches by resting his head on your leg waiting for you to pet him. We got there right when they opened so service was a bit slow but that's understandable because they were still preparing for the rest of the day. Presentation was on point and made for a very fun meal. The horse mackerel rosette while not in an actual rosette was very good. Nice touch of citrus. Sea urchin flan was very umami and very filling. Gyozas were more like dumplings because they did not have any crispness to the bottom and the gyoza wrappers tasted like they were dried out in a fridge. Filling was an ox tail filling and worked wonderfully. The ramen broth however was just a bit too salty. I think if they made it into an aspic and put a bit of it with the filling it would have made for a better flavor explosion. Catch of the day was ok. The skin of the fish was kinda soggy but overall flavor was good. I think the crispness of the fish skin added with the shaving of jicama would have made it more of a standout dish. For the Pig dish, they used a suckling pig. My only complaint with the dish is they should have dried the skin out some more and made it crispier. Who isn't a fan of crispy pork skins from a suckling pig. The presentation of the desserts was the most amazing. The pumpkin is pretty much a lavender milk cereal inside and some sort of jelly and granola topped with a salted caramel ice cream. The carrot cake. This is the most delicious carrot cake I have ever eaten and the presentation itself was very fun. The carrot itself is a carrot puree that was candied and filled with a cream to look like an actual carrot.

Luckily, we were able to secure a table at Quercus. The waiter was prompt and gave us excellent recommendations for dinner. The chef was also quick to come and ensure that any questions we had about the menu were answered. The bread was served fresh with salsa - a combination I have not had before. Both the green and red salsa were not too spicy and to my surprise, went well with the toasted bread. For our main courses: 1. Grilled Octopus - 5 star presentation! Well seasoned and not chewy - which is something many other restaurants get wrong. The octopus still had a bite, but was still tender enough. It went well with the pickled onions and the guacamole that was served with the dish. 2. Ribeye - Again, excellent presentation befitting of fine dining. This was a huge portion, but well seasoned and not dry. We opted for the 500g (larger) size upon recommendation of our waiter, but probably could have gone for the smaller size. We could not finish it; perhaps if we had 3 people dining. Our meal was paired with an excellent white wine blend from one of the local wineries upon recommendation of our waiter. Highly recommended if you are in the area looking for a restaurant to have dinner at. If I were to describe this place: mediterranean food with a Mexican flare.

I have attached photos of most of the deliciousness! The cheese plate, the tomato soup, and the pork shank were my favorites. I did personally order the grilled octopus, it wasn't cleaned super properly and a lot of bits of it were over the top chewy but did have potential to be great! Also, with being sick I had ordered some hot tea and all I received was hot water with a sprig of mint lol. But all in all this place was amazing!
