After a day of travel we were all hungry and couldn't wait to eat dinner. This restaurant is located at the Hotel Boutique. I ordered the pork belly fried rice and Caesar salad. The rice was really good but the Caesar salad was the BEST I've ever had! My whole table kept getting bites because it was so good. Nice location and great service!

Delicious food! Large portions. Everything we tried was very good. Dinner was great and margaritas are delicious

Im having the elixir Agave drink wit tequila and it's amazing. Taste like a happy orange juice. The vibe is delightful and it's very peaceful for a Tuesday night. We are hotel guest here and everyone has been very friendly. A little get away from LA home with sick destinational Tulum vibe.

I never feel the need to write a review before my trip ends, but.... I went to sleep extremely frustrated. From the beginning this trip was magical! The directions to the restaurant were very clear, a warm welcome from the host to sit by the fire while our table was being arranged was very nice. Eric our sever was ON POINT! I'm so glad I asked him about the Aguachile! Just WOW! The sauce was perfect to enjoy every detail in the dish... cucumbers, purple onion, serranos and the creamiest sauce I've ever had and the kicker... avocado crema dots surrounding the dish. It was paired with blue corn tostadas and macha chile oil (drool) the shrimp was the str of the dish and very delicate tasting! Eric recommended wine and sent over Hugo.... Hugo went through the history of three bottles he recommended and we went with Unico, a blend of Cab and Merlot. If I could explain the perfection of this wine it would be "clean". Hugo recommended the Tomahawk and we went with it. We never imagined finishing a dish this large but something THAT DELICIOUS should cost more! It was medium rare to perfection and paired with a potato purée with shishito peppers.. (chefs kiss!) we saved some room for my birthday dessert which was brought with a massive firework sparkler. Let me tell you that I don't care for dessert unless the execution is perfect!! This carrot cake was buttered on all four sides and grilled... you heard me! Served with a small side of marscapone ice cream! We also ordered panna cotta de manzanilla and if you don't know what that is .... CHAMOMILE TEA! They made a chamomile tea panna cotta!!! There was a delicious amount of fruit on the side with mazipan dust and a simple syrup. I'd lie to you if I said I didn't almost cry at dinner. There was a live band that was pretty amazing and sang happy birthday to me.. just lovely, the whole evening. Hugo walked us to their Japanese restaurant and we quickly befriended the staff and made reservations for our second night. If my review doesn't make you book a trip here then I have to tell you that you aren't searching for your peace yet! You will not be complete until you've experienced Valle de Guadalupe and eating at Fuego! In the winter bring a jacket, they have heaters but stay cozy to enjoy all your bites! Cheers!

Fuego is FUEGO! From the ambience, to the food, to the bevs, to the live entertainment, fuego! Ample parking, wonderful service. Food: We had the Shrimp Fettuccine, Clam Chowder(not your typical chain restaurant clam chowder), and rib eye steak. All delicious and well prepared. Beverage: Daiquiri, Sangria...keep em coming! Great night cap after a day of vino hopping. Cheers!

Chorizo omelette

Came here on the way to our wine tasting tour for brunch/lunch. Cute little spot with excellent service. This restaurant is part of the hotel and serves complimentary orange juices, fruits, cereal, and waffles. While waiting for our food to arrive, the server brought out plates of fruit, waffles, and juices for us explaining that we could help ourselves to the items. My boyfriend and I got a chorizo omelette and girllll let me tell you. That chorizo omelette was one of the best things I tasted on the trip. Light, fluffy, flavorful, and the sauce on top was excellent. Definitely recommend this spot!

Tacos de borrego

Food is delicious tacos de borrego & pulpo & carne labio was my favorite Crema de calabaza was very delicious

Wow! I am definitely an octopus fan and let me say this is definitely one of my favorites. The pulpo was delicious with fresh vegetables and an amazing sauce to bring it together. We also ordered the pasta- had great flavor and the sauce was not overpowered by the shrimp flavor. We loved it. The staff was very attentive and we also met the chef! Great ambience and delicious wine. We can't wait to go back

I went here in August 6, 2022. The food was by far delicious! We were a party of 13. They were very kind to open the lunch menu. The men in our group wanted stakes and carnitas with breakfast. So the chef treated us very well. The restaurant is outside so we were sweating so much they moved fans our way to help. Drinks were so good. We got a bottle for mimosas. Here are some pictures of us and our meals. I will defiantly come again with my family. Thank you everyone at fuego for having us! P.S. bikes are only for hotel guest. My cousins got in trouble for riding them haha.

We were on our way to visit some of the local wineries when we decided to stop and get something to…read moreeat. We've been to this area several times and usually just randomly pick somewhere to eat. It was early in the day and this restaurant seemed to be one of the few places open so we went in to give them a try. There is parking right out front but it was the middle of January so it might be harder to find parking during warmer times of the year, but even still, there is plenty of street parking. The inside is small and quaint with comfortable seating. We were the only ones in the restaurant and they sat us right away and brought us drinks along with chips and salsa. The chips were amazing, but I was expecting them to be this far down across the border. The menu has quite a few options but I chose the Chile Relleno and my friend had the Chicken Enchiladas. Again, the restaurant was basically empty so it was nice and quiet but I get the impression it's never too busy to be very noisy. It was nice and comfortable. Initially I just thought it would be like restaurant back in the states; place your order and within minutes someone would bring it out. But we actually waited a considerable amount of time before our meals were brought out. Not too long, but again, just longer than I would have expected. The kitchen is open to the whole restaurant so you can see them cooking and after awhile, it was clear why the food was taking longer than you might expect. Unlike restaurants back in the states where most of this food is pre-prepared and just sitting in pans keeping warm, they made EVERYTHING fresh to order! Nothing was warmed up or ladled up from a pan of already made food. They made it all fresh! When the food came out, it looked like food from a magazine or menu. The type of food you only see in pictures. The food you see that usually looks so perfect but never actually get it served. Well, this food looked that perfect! It was hot and fresh and you can't go wrong with that combination. I'm a big believer in the quality of the refried beans being the standard for any Mexican restaurant. If the beans are good, generally speaking, the rest of the food is going to be good as well. These refried beans were AMAZING! Without a doubt, the next time I'm in the area, I am stopping here just to have a bowl of their refried beans with the chips! If I could sit there with the beans and chips and watch the Super Bowl, I'd be in Nirvana! My plate came with two, very large, chiles; normally I would expect only one. And the batter they were covered in was just perfect. Nice and light but with great flavor. The chiles were fresh and tasty; but I have to admit, I don't know what was in them. I'm used to the chile stuffed with cheese, but I'm not sure what was in this. It wasn't bad tasting but sure didn't seem like cheese. Regardless, I highly recommend it. My friends chicken enchiladas were amazing! So many restaurants down in Baja are fantastic but this was exceptional and I can't say enough good things about it. If you are planning a trip down to the wineries, stop here before or after your wine tasting. You won't be sorry! Great service and amazing food!

For starters, this place is Michelin recognized, and was rated best breakfast in the world in 2015…read moreby FoodieHub. I told myself if I'm ever in the area again, I have to make an effort to eat at this place. Well, the opportunity arose as I was staying at a nearby winery. The biggest problem I encountered was finding a ride to get to this restaurant. Taxis are nonexistent in the area. Ubers are only in the area when someone from Ensenada requests a round trip to the area, so no they are not available to others. Therefore, I expressed my frustration with the front desk at my winery hotel and they took on the task of finding me private transportation. About 40 minutes later, they called my room to inform me that they located a driver. Unfortunately, he requested an inflated price for the to and from the restaurant. Private drivers down here know that you have few choices, therefore, they can ask inflated prices. Yes, I was in a pickle, but I really wanted to go. I did not rent a car because many of the roads hug cliffs and everyone drives fast, because they know where all of the mountain curves are. Being from Chicago, where we also drive fast but don't have mountain cliff roads decided to play it safe and let others do the driving for me. Anyhow, I debated, and in the end agreed to the expensive terms because when I going to get the opportunity again to eat at a place rated best breakfast in the world? How was the breakfast? It was absolutely delicious, everything was made from scratch. I ordered the cafe de la olla which interprets into coffee from the pot because typically it is prepared with raw sugar (piloncillo), canella (cinnamon sticks), and orange zest. How was the coffee? Delicious. I had some machaca (small bits of dried beef) with eggs which came with delicious refried beans. I also ordered the excellent chilaquiles with an egg and a side of bacon. I also needed to order the one thing most talk about on their menu which is the corn bread pancakes. They used the recipe for a typical corn bread sold down here called pan de elote to make the pancakes, and yes, they were excellent. Turning the batter from this recipe into pancakes was a brilliant idea. Also, I cannot leave out the great tasting freshly made corn tortillas that came with the food. The tortillas down here taste different from the ones back in Chicago because down here a white heirloom corn is utilized rather than the sweet yellow dent corn from the Midwest. Was it the best breakfast that I have ever had in Mexico, or anywhere else for that matter? Well, it definitely lived up to the hype the breakfast was amazing and I do highly recommend it. If you do decide to visit, my best advice is show up early because a line forms very early. I have been lucky to have also had other amazing breakfasts in Mexico and other places in my travels. The secret to this restaurant sits right behind it. On the restaurant grounds is an active ranch, which also doubles as a small zoo, where they source their milk and meats from. Yes, they raise their own animals which later become items on the menu. Does that fresh matter? Yes, it absolutely does make all of the difference. Does it sound cruel? Well, that is a whole other conversation. Let's just say the animals are treated humanely. All of the livestock looked happy as they roamed around the grounds. Unlike the way livestock is treated inhumanly in the United States in dirty overcrowded housing where some never get to see the sun or roam freely in the open air. Livestock in the US are constantly given antibiotics and growth hormones, also fed gmo feed with questionable health implications for those that consume them.

Just a heads up: the seating is one long communal table. If you're picturing a quiet little two top date night, this isn't that. It's more of a "we're all in this together" setup, which actually ended up being pretty fun. We went for the full tasting menu with the beverage pairing, and it was absolutely worth it. The tasting menu consisted of 14 courses. They served things I never would've ordered on my own, and that ended up being the best part. The oyster and clam dishes were incredible, and the scallops were another standout. The drink pairing was surprisingly great too, way more adventurous than what I would've picked off a menu, and I ended up loving a couple of the wines I'd skipped during our earlier tasting at Bruma. Service was on point from start to finish, and the whole experience just felt special. If you're in Valle de Guadalupe, make time for Fauna. It's absolutely a must visit.
