Brewery on the left, restaurant in the middle and outdoor area to walk around on is to the right.

Exceptional, extraordinary, captivating and so on. I am sure you get the idea. On the right side of the restaurant there is a beautiful outdoor area surrounded by trees. On the left side of the restaurant there is a mini brewery with a modern touch that serves beers! And of course the the main restaurant is outdoorsy with a full bar. Food? Oh my, ooh my, oooh my! The dishes they offer are like no other, I promise! PHENOMENAL is how I can describe the food. Apparently, the chefs there are like no other. French Fries- 5 stars (freshly made and seasoned) Calamari Tacos- 5 stars (al pastor seasoning) Skirt Steak- 5 star (tender and delicious) Salad- 5 star (beautiful vegetables & colors with a vinaigrette dressing) Beer- 5 star (Sirena a Pilsner) Customer Service- 5 star (kind, helpful & friendly) Yes, COVID-19 is recognized. Masks, non contact menu and seating is appropriately separated. Visit this GEM!!!

My friends and I were celebrating my birthday, and Damian and his team served us an amazing meal with excellent wine pairings. Each course was on point, and they went out of their way to make my birthday special. We had multiple dietary restrictions and they were very accommodating. The tuna ceviche tostada was a favorite. Would highly recommend if you're in the Valle region!!

Love this place! My favorite restaurant in Valle de Guadalupe. Chef Javier Altamirano's cuisine is mouthwatering. The ceviche and shrimp pasta are the best along with the grilled tomahawk and ribeye steaks! Don't forget to ask for the house sangria.

Great option to eat in valle de Guadalupe, food here is delicious! Good service, I am a repeat customer of this place and definitely I recommend it . Get a reservation if u want to go there on the weekends. They accept credit cards. The parking is a little small but hopefully u can find a space to park.

After the day in Valle my party was looking to soak up all that vino with some delicious food. We gave Cantera a try and scheduled a table for 4 at 6 pm. There was no wait which was nice since it was Valentines Day weekend. The restaurant is located outside so be sure you dress in layers and bring a jacket since it can get really cold at night. We kicked off dinner w/ some apps of marinated shrimp, Thai shrimp, and papas fritas. The shrimp appetizers were cooked perfectly and were steamed in really tasty seasoning. For dinner, my buddy and I shared a massive piece of tomahawk steak and the ladies got the lamb rack and seared tuna. All of the food was spectacular, but the problem was that each item came out to the table in 20 min blocks. So even if you wanted to be polite and wait for the next person to eat, your meal would be ice cold. The final tuna entree didn't come out until hours into our meal and everyone was ready to leave. We tried to order some food to go as well, but it never came out to the table as we were told it would be another long wait. The restaurant was not very busy so I am not sure what the issue was. The staff seemed to care less about how the evening transpired which is never a good thing. The heating machines also were barely working as well which put a damper on the evening. Food was great (when it came out), but I don't think I would dine at this establishment again. They need to work on their service for sure.

Great place that has high quality food. If your lucky enough to be here when the have their "tostadas de pato" do yourself a favor and order them, you won't regret it. The picture uploaded are the infamous tostadas!!! Great ambience and decor, seating is outdoor/indoor setting. To top it all off the space are very friendly.

This restaurant is in a great location, at the Maglen resort, it has beautiful patio seating and the service was excellent. The food and drinks are Amazing!! We had the carne pizza, delicious handmade crust, the shrimp fettuccine was sooo yummy very flavorful with garlic and herbs, the pork was great it just melts in your mouth, and the chili fries with cheese. Everything on our table was delightful! We loved this restaurant and will definitely be coming back.

For starters, this place is Michelin recognized, and was rated best breakfast in the world in 2015…read moreby FoodieHub. I told myself if I'm ever in the area again, I have to make an effort to eat at this place. Well, the opportunity arose as I was staying at a nearby winery. The biggest problem I encountered was finding a ride to get to this restaurant. Taxis are nonexistent in the area. Ubers are only in the area when someone from Ensenada requests a round trip to the area, so no they are not available to others. Therefore, I expressed my frustration with the front desk at my winery hotel and they took on the task of finding me private transportation. About 40 minutes later, they called my room to inform me that they located a driver. Unfortunately, he requested an inflated price for the to and from the restaurant. Private drivers down here know that you have few choices, therefore, they can ask inflated prices. Yes, I was in a pickle, but I really wanted to go. I did not rent a car because many of the roads hug cliffs and everyone drives fast, because they know where all of the mountain curves are. Being from Chicago, where we also drive fast but don't have mountain cliff roads decided to play it safe and let others do the driving for me. Anyhow, I debated, and in the end agreed to the expensive terms because when I going to get the opportunity again to eat at a place rated best breakfast in the world? How was the breakfast? It was absolutely delicious, everything was made from scratch. I ordered the cafe de la olla which interprets into coffee from the pot because typically it is prepared with raw sugar (piloncillo), canella (cinnamon sticks), and orange zest. How was the coffee? Delicious. I had some machaca (small bits of dried beef) with eggs which came with delicious refried beans. I also ordered the excellent chilaquiles with an egg and a side of bacon. I also needed to order the one thing most talk about on their menu which is the corn bread pancakes. They used the recipe for a typical corn bread sold down here called pan de elote to make the pancakes, and yes, they were excellent. Turning the batter from this recipe into pancakes was a brilliant idea. Also, I cannot leave out the great tasting freshly made corn tortillas that came with the food. The tortillas down here taste different from the ones back in Chicago because down here a white heirloom corn is utilized rather than the sweet yellow dent corn from the Midwest. Was it the best breakfast that I have ever had in Mexico, or anywhere else for that matter? Well, it definitely lived up to the hype the breakfast was amazing and I do highly recommend it. If you do decide to visit, my best advice is show up early because a line forms very early. I have been lucky to have also had other amazing breakfasts in Mexico and other places in my travels. The secret to this restaurant sits right behind it. On the restaurant grounds is an active ranch, which also doubles as a small zoo, where they source their milk and meats from. Yes, they raise their own animals which later become items on the menu. Does that fresh matter? Yes, it absolutely does make all of the difference. Does it sound cruel? Well, that is a whole other conversation. Let's just say the animals are treated humanely. All of the livestock looked happy as they roamed around the grounds. Unlike the way livestock is treated inhumanly in the United States in dirty overcrowded housing where some never get to see the sun or roam freely in the open air. Livestock in the US are constantly given antibiotics and growth hormones, also fed gmo feed with questionable health implications for those that consume them.

Just a heads up: the seating is one long communal table. If you're picturing a quiet little two top date night, this isn't that. It's more of a "we're all in this together" setup, which actually ended up being pretty fun. We went for the full tasting menu with the beverage pairing, and it was absolutely worth it. The tasting menu consisted of 14 courses. They served things I never would've ordered on my own, and that ended up being the best part. The oyster and clam dishes were incredible, and the scallops were another standout. The drink pairing was surprisingly great too, way more adventurous than what I would've picked off a menu, and I ended up loving a couple of the wines I'd skipped during our earlier tasting at Bruma. Service was on point from start to finish, and the whole experience just felt special. If you're in Valle de Guadalupe, make time for Fauna. It's absolutely a must visit.

The bites are pretty small, so we ended up getting some tacos afterward LOL. I recommend coming here in an SUV because the road to this area is VERY bumpy. There were so many potholes because of the rain and lots of huge puddles. I wasn't sure if my car could make it out of here and I've been to other parts of Valle with no issues.
