We didn't stay long yet, about 30mins when the service kept showing up every 2-3min. Asking if it all was ok and if we are finished yet. Well, some of our party-of-four clearly weren't. Leave us alone pls. This kept going on for about 10-15mins. Then a bald guy, probably the manager / host showed up. Asking us if we are finished yet. Still eating buddy....and he came back yet again, asking the same questions. We really felt pushed. Clearly they wanted us to leave, so they can serve the oh-so average food to some other lucky customers. Maybe they should put up a sign which says: Time-Limit 30 minutes! The food was barely ok, but edible. But together with the not-at-all Italian hospitality this place is best to be avoided. On our Road Trip we've had so many wonderful experiences...food-wise and concerning locals. But this here is so touristy...forget about it. The only other plus-point are the quite fair prices.

My biggest beef however (excuse the pun) was that it was served on a metal searing hot plate, which meant that regardless the kitchen cooked the beef exactly according my request, it quickly overcooked. I would give them four stars but unusual to Italian tradition, they rushed us out and I noticed they did not do this to others. Our money and patronage is just as good. Also, we were served all courses all at once. And it was not crowded and it was not close to closing time. The server also snuffed at us when we first sat down at a table for four - the place was not crowded by the way. So he forced us to sit at a table for two which is fine had he served our courses in traditional order and fashion. But he did not. He basically shoved four plates on our table - bread, salad, pasta course one, another dish course two oh and our wine bowls. All on a tiny table for two. And he was unapologetic about it. That was absolutely ridiculous. Again the only reason I do not give this less stars is because the food was worth it but it's no excuse to be rude and treat customers in this way.
