The picarones were the best I've had in Spain, and the salmorejo soup was as tasty as any I have had. I considered going back to Montero on my 2nd day in Salamanca, but decided to broaden my horizons by trying another place nearby, which turned out to be lackluster. If I ever travel to Salamanca again, I will definitely have to visit Montero.
