With 100 people, it was hot. I tried to cool the space by propping the door. Communication with the owner was seamless and mostly via email, and the venue was set up exactly as requested. The suite was perfect it was decorated nicely and spacious. The on suite bathroom was convenient for both the kitchen staff and those using the suite. Parking lot only has 25 spots. There is street parking available, but don't park in front of the houses. The homeowners will complain. The church next door is open for parking as well. Outside of cooling issues and parking and location, it was the perfect space to host a baby shower.

They host an array of events and activities (some are free, while others are ticketed). Events and activities include live music, DJs, yoga, Zumba, and seasonal events like Winter Wonderlawn during Christmas and Lunar New Year. There are seven gardens which take up about an acre. There's signs throughout the lawn that explain the different gardens and various spaces. Sky Farm is operated by Blackwood Educational Land Institute and they focus on regenerative agriculture and cultivation of food. The Outpost can be rented for events. Yelp Houston has hosted some events at the Outpost in the past. During the summer, it gets very hot! They have quite a few covered/shaded areas and there's vendors throughout if you need water or a beverage. There's lots of seating too (both covered and uncovered).
