I have been coming to this place since I was a kid and it has some great memories for me. I invited…read moremy cousins to lunch, hours before I we were to head to the airport for our trip home. Even with a group of 18, we were able to get in quickly and order. We purchased four 1 kilo plates of carnitas and beans and still took some leftovers home for a couple of the cousins that couldn't make the trip. They come around and pour comsume into your bowl which we added onions, lime and chili/salsa. They were generous with the consume, which is a super important part of birria. They were also very generous with the home made tortillas. The service was fantastic. And the food, well consistently great. Most of us got beers [or mineral water for the hangover] but my wife and daughter shared a "casuelita" which is a Tequila, grapefruit and other ingredient drink. Looked and tasted great too. The place is huge but I got worried when we drove up and saw a hundred cars in the parking lot. OK, maybe not 100 but it was pretty close and I have a plane to catch is about four hours. The airport is a 15 to 20 minute drive from here. Because the place is so big, we sat immediately. Loved that they have clean bathrooms and the place looks great.

Quite possibly the second best thing about Guadalajara, the first being the hostess at the rooftop bar in the Riu hotel. Now back to this restaurant, my boss had no idea that it was goat meat he was eating and he was licking that stiff up. Beans were amazing tortillas were on point and the different salsas are the best i ever had. Out of all my yelps in the ten years of yelping as a normal person and not the entitled elite status. This review will never do this place justice. I am coming to GDL again just to eat here.

I only had roughly 45 minutes to get food and board a plane and I was hungry! I ordered the Torta Ahoagada and a drink. The food came out pretty quick. The food was pretty expensive but it's expected at an airport. It also seemed more expensive since everything was cheap during vacation in Guadalajara. The bread seemed a bit stale and the meat was not as tasty. I ate most of the meat from the torta and just couldn't finish the rest. I will probably try a different restaurant the next time I am at this airport.

I had to wait a few minutes, as they told me that they could not process credit card payments until 4:00 AM. They processed my order before that, and got me my breakfast in a timely manner. The food itself was ok, not the healthiest and somewhat tasty. But it did its job and gave me much needed energy for the start of the day. The coffee was pretty good, and the juice tasted freshly squeezed. The staff here is nice. This place is open when other places in Guadalajara airport are not, so I appreciate the convenience. For a fast food breakfast, it is better than Jack in the Box or Carl's Jr.

Los Tapatios - Tacos de arrachera-huelen y sabía a puro orín de puerco. Que asco. I am not a picky eater. They smelled/tasted so nasty like pig urine!

I arrived almost at 10pm and an employee guy told me only takeout service was available. I ordered my food and sat down to wait. Shortly after, two men arrived. The employee repeated "only takeout," but the guy's coworkers interrupted and said yes, they could sit and eat. That already annoyed me and I thought: well, he just lost his tip. Finally paid for my food. Went to the hotel where I'm staying now. Couldn't even finish one taco. They stink and taste horribly like pig urine. I don't know if they use lard or oil where they cook pork, but what a disappointment. I almost NEVER ever ever leave reviews or am picky. But if I can't finish these tacos, it's because they're freakin' awful. Consider yourselves warned. How do you ruin arrachera with such a disgusting smell/taste?? Gee.

Que Chulada de maíz prieto…read more As a big fan of Vicente 'Chente' Fernandez I'm so thankful I was able to visit his rancho, but also it's a must to stop by to visit his store and restaurant. We went Sept 2024 and thought the hours were until 4 p.m. Once we walked to the gate noticed a crowd standing around but no one asked if we'd be able to enter. I kindly asked the groundkeepers if they'd allow us to pay our respects to Chente as we traveled from Northern CA. They did go ask for permission and allowed us all to enter. They did ask us if we're able to donate as it was almost 4 p.m and after their normal business hours. Our family donated and noticed few in the crowd did also. Upon entering the gates you'll see a statue of our Vicente, alot of beautiful flowers, his horses and different garden decorations. It's so peaceful and there is a life size replica of Vicente you're able to take pictures with. Vicente is buried nearby and music was playing. We paid our respects and to your right is his guitar shaped Pool. Behind the Pool you'll see different type of animals and there is a horse stable. We thanked the gentleman again and made our way to Vicente's store. Give yourself enough time to visit the store as there was a big crowd and buses of tours as well. The employees are very friendly and we did ask to taste two different tequilas. I bought one bottle and it really is smooth. Next door is Chente's restaurant and everything we ordered was delicious. It was a hot day and we ordered a pitcher of agua de jamaica. They're very friendly and there was a live mariachi. Although they did charge $20 per song it was worth it. We ordered carne asada, camarones, quesadillas, y pescado. Everything was delicious and you can't help but notice all the personal touches Vicente has all around his restaurant. Do give yourself plenty of time as traffic is heavy from Guadalajara at times and know that it's complete my free to visit Vicente's rancho. Over all we were pleased to have seen everything up close and plan on going back again.
