    Shrimp tacos Caldo De Camaron

I absolutely love this la Fuente Most of the time i get tacos and this time I got shrimp tacos and asked for hot sauce on the side. I come here occasionally with friends and family and they never disappoint. Delicious food and all the waiters I've had are always nice and make us feel very welcome. This time they even sent me home with extra chips and salsa. This place is a 5 star for me!

No cilantro or onions with my tacos. I specifically asked for this. And tortillas not fully cooked. Horrible!!

La Fuente was surprisingly a decent Mexican restaurant. The food always tastes freshly made. I love the fresh chips and salsa. The staff are friendly and prompt. The atmosphere is clean and it seems to stay fairly busy. I recommend the carnitas plate as this is my go-to when I come here.

Adorable, cute and bright. In the old Nature's Pantry location. My Android had a hard time navigating to the location. I was pleased once I found it. A bit put off by the window signs, which I've taken a picture of. My family and I were surprised when we opened the door, and the bright colors blasted from the chairs and booths. It's crisp and fresh. Between the three of us, there was one burrito supreme, one number 3 (with a taco, chile releno, and enchilada), and a number 14 (chile releno, chalupa-no meat-and enchilada). The Restaurant bought us chips and salsa, free. The chips were crispy and warm. The salsa was mildly perfect, not too hot, not too mild. I had the number 14. The portions were more than I could eat. I enjoyed the chile releno. The breading was about 1/16th inch, with a light coating of salsa. The cheese filling was spicy, but not too much. The cheese filling melted out of the pepper. The enchilada was basic, it had beef in it (I'd rather cheese, but needed the protein, so I accepted it). The enchilada shell was light and cornmeal based. The chalupa was covered with refried beans, then plenty of lettuce, and guacamole. I had to take half of mine home. For drinks, I was driving, so we drank water. I have driven by this restaurant many times, but never stopped. I'm glad I did. This was a bold move for this establishment. It is larger than it looked from the outside. I will eat there again.

This is their "curb side pick up" was told my order would be ready at 6:30 just to wait in line for 60 mins in line. Definitely understaffed for Cinco de Mayo. No one at front desk either so people can cancel their orders. Very disappointed.

It is very large, and she liked it. I ordered the half size quesadilla with chicken. Both dishes were served with shredded chicken. I'm not sure if grilled chicken was an option or possibly available at a higher price. But, the only thing I would recommend is more flavor/seasoning in the shredded chicken. Our table did not have silverware, but we just grabbed it off another table. And, the waiter brought extra napkins without us having to ask. Music was playing in the restaurant, but we were also seated near an employee on break who was blasting music and not using headphones. It was hard for us to enjoy our dining experience listening to two different songs at the same time for 15 minutes. But, this can easily be corrected by having employees use headphones or not play loud music during their break.

My daughter in law decided to treat me to dinner and since we kept seeing this restaurant pop up on our community awareness page with great reviews, we decided to try it. When I tell you we wanted to leave after we got the chips and salsa, it's bad. Nothing on the menu looked good, but we decided to stay and try the food even though the salsa wasn't giving us "this is going to be good" vibes. We ordered chicken nachos, tamales, fajitas, and my granddaughter just wanted meat and rice, so they brought a picadillo style hamburger meat. Let's get into this salsa. It literally tasted like watered down tomato sauce with a couple chinos of onion and cilantro in it. The chips were good, but definitely deserved a better salsa. My daughter in law said it tasted like watered down ketchup. Then the nachos came out. These nachos, man, they needed help, so much help. The chicken was dry, there was no cheese on the nachos, and the toppings were located in just the middle of the nachos, they weren't evenly distributed. I couldn't even pour salsa on them to help them because well the salsa was terrible. Main dishes came out. Food was hot, I'll give them that. The fajitas didn't have your signature sizzling plate which kind of killed the vibe. The meat was tender, I'll give them that, but it had no flavor, it was fatty, and the ratio of meat to vegetables was 1 to 2. We were given 4 tortillas and it was literally enough for 2 full tacos because they were so thin, you had to use 2 tortillas per taco. It came with the standard sides: rice, beans, lettuce, sour cream, guacamole, and pico de gallo. The rice was hard and bland, like it was undercooked and only tomato sauce was used to "color" the rice. The beans honestly didn't even taste like pinto beans, they just tasted like nothing. My granddaughter's plate came out, they made sure it was a cold plate so she didn't burn herself. The meat was greasy and tasted like cat food smells, if that makes sense. Her rice was hard as well. She didn't eat hardly any of it. The tamales were probably the best thing at the restaurant other than the sweet tea. I was a little disappointed because we didn't get the full tamale experience by being able to unwrap them. They were pork tamales and definitely had good flavor. The service was decent, they came back and checked on us several times. All in all, we definitely won't be back.

The decor is a total throwback to Nickelodeon's show Guts from the 90s. Even if it isn't intentional, I retro-loved it. The salsa is smoky and a little spicy and pairs perfectly with their thin crispy chips. I've been to MANY Mexican restaurants in my lifetime, and this is probably the best salsa of this style I've ever had. For my entree, I tried something I've never even heard of. Carne en su Jugo is steak with beans in tomatillo based soup. Honestly I was shocked. It was delicious, spicy, full of flavor and so simple but extremely well done. With this chilly weather, it warmed me up in the best of ways. I could only finish half of it and I am so excited to finish it for lunch tomorrow. Unfortunately, the tortillas are not made in house. I would love to see more restaurants doing this. Our waitress was attentive and kind, bringing beverages and checking on us with appropriate frequency. We will be back, and frequently!

Inside it is very functional yet still has padded booths, a nicely tiled bar with lots of light effects and a more comfortable atmosphere to dine in. This place does a lot to exhibit that they want customers to come in and dine and stay for a few drinks. Only downside... It was freezing! The two tables near me continually talked about how cold it was and I didn't even take off my sport coat to eat because it was cold inside. Now to be fair it is spring as I write this and no one has their settings for A/C or Heat set correctly yet. But, for now... 3 stars The Staff - I didn't see much staff, but, it was lunchtime so maybe there weren't that many working yet. The gal that showed me to my table was very nice. And the one who took my order was quick and efficient but that was the only time I saw her. A cook from the kitchen brought me the hot plate of food. And the gal that seated me is the one that checked to see if I needed anything else and brought me the check. Polite and Nice... not necessarily friendly. 3 Stars The Food - I ordered one of the lunch plates. The burrito and a taco with refried beans. Both the burrito and the taco were ground beef. Their flavor was good. I felt that the meal lacked a little pizzazz but was generally tasty. Chips and salsa were also included and while both were good... they were just good. Solid 4 stars for the food. Overall - This place was fine for lunch. I will try to see if I can have dinner here some time to get a more comprehensive feel of the place. For now I think they are going to sit at 3 Stars. Nothing wrong with this place. But, no story or anything drastically outstanding and memorable.
