I was overcharged $10 after checking my transactions a few days after visiting the restaurant and was told by Jose "it's only $10" as if it's ok to STEAL from someone even if it's $1. You might want to pay with cash because from the other reviews I see this isn't their first time doing this. Completely unacceptable and unprofessional. 0 stars! read more

I've been traveling home from the West Coast to the East Coast and found this hidden gem by the gas station (I say 'hidden' because I missed the turn several times; tired traveler brain). The salsa is fresh, and the aftertaste of cilantro is refreshing. The seafood? They brought it out fresh off the grill and the blend of spices makes it taste like true authentic Mexican food. Also, the staff is amazing; my waitress was kind. As for the setting of the place, it was calm and peaceful. If I travel through this part again, I am DEFINITELY coming back. read more

Great food and fast courteous service I was passing through and got hungry for Mexican food

Love their lunch menu here... whenever I'm in town visiting friends, we stop here for a going away lunch before I hit the road. Their lunch fajitas are the perfect amount, if not too much food and it's a great price. The service is always wonderful too! read more

Traveling through from Texas and decided to check this place out, Wonderful food! The dessert was amazing! Highly recommend!! Will be back to eat one day! read more

Let's get something straight first and for most; if you're going to charge $12 for Nachos can you use queso? They loaded this expensive, supposedly whole portion (which looked like the half...I promise it wasn't more than 10 chips on this plate) plate of nachos up with shredded cheese. Yes you got that right, shredded cheese. The disrespect man I'll never come back here. Crazy part about it all is it could've been soooo good if they just kept it original. Do Better! read more

Food is consistently decent! I haven't had any standout dishes so I'm open to recommendations. Service is always stellar!

If your looking for good food, quick friendly service this is a must stop. We were heading Home from shopping in Shreveport and thinking Mexican for supper. I had heard the food was good so decided to give it a try. So thankful we did. The food was excellent. The queso and Fogata sauce were delicious. The fajita chicken and fajita steak is tender and very flavorful. Others in our group got the enchiladas and taquitos and they said they were very good. We all agreed we will be back soon. read more

Best food out of mexican restaurants best nachos in town the meat here is amazing.....

(whole fajita nachos) First time building didn't smell like a flooded bathroom, which is a plus. meat is good, Nachos very dry . the lack of food places in Arcadia will have u here every blue moon , also el jarrito was closed which is the only reason I ended up here, I wanted queso fajita nachos but obviously I paid 12.10 for dry nachos , No onions, No bell peppers , No queso, supposed to come with beans but NO beans ! So how is this a fajita nacho? I have no idea all I see is a good bit of whole meat! Called and I was asked to bring my plate back which I did and I was only given a FULL cup of beans , more than enough, but no cheese or anything else to make these a fajita nacho which I ordered . Plate full of lettuce and meat pretty much. Luckily Arcadia has a newer more of home cooked Mexican restaurant on Martin Luther King st , beside the barber shop . Nachos always good ! Pretty much the same concept but of course ;onions , lettuce, tomatoes, bell peppers, your choice of meat, queso or nacho cheese & the plate is truly FULL or 'WHOLE' ! Also for a few dollars LESS! So I purchased a pretty big cup of queso cheese for $2 , which is $5+ here ! Every visit here is a disappointment and reminder of why i do not come read more

La Fogata - whole fajita nachos. - Mexican Near Me - Arcadia, Louisiana

Really fast authentic Mexican food. Pulled off I-20 on Cinco De Mayo hoping to do our part to honor the holiday! Based on the few recommendations on this app, we were not expecting much, but were surprised to find the place hopping still at 2:00p.m. Huge menu, lots of choices of traditional Tex-Mex and American (burgers and kids menu) as well as seafood entrees. Only suggestion is to have a spicier salsa available on request, it was plentiful as is, but we like a bit of "atomic" blast to our salsa. Offered Plenty of chips, fresh and hot! Loved the Chile Relleno, was bigger than most and the chalupa was very fresh and a nice siaze portion as well. Worth the stop if you are on the road. Follow your GPS cause you can't see it from the off ramp. read more

The food is good but nobody seems to care about the phone endlessly ringing the whole time i tried to place an order, it took them about 10 minutes for someone to notice me and take my order! read more

Ordered Cheese enchiladas with queso on them And I received Chicken enchiladas. After I told the waitress that isn't what I ordered she continued to argue and say that's what she had written down and refused to change out my food for what I asked for. 1 they lost a customer over $1 enchilada. 2 their chicken enchiladas tasted like canned cat food that was chicken flavored. read more

We went here on a Sunday evening at 5pm with our 4 children. We were greeted by the friendliest hostess/waitress. The service was exceptional and quick. The food was yummy! I don't usually leave reviews but with bad service becoming more common, I want the few good places left to be blessed. read more

Great service as soon as I walked in. Inexpensive prices and great food. It hit the spot for the long drive across the US. Not a lot of people know about this place yet and is fairly new. If you are in the area I suggest this place. Great for the kids as well. There is a small bar separate from the dinning area. The restrooms are neat and clean. read more

La Fogata - Mexican food!!! Yumm - Mexican Near Me - Arcadia, Louisiana

This place makes my stomach smile . The service was quick and attentive, the food was colorful, flavorful and delicious. Usually, Mexican restaurants can be overly salty, but La Fogata knows how to pack flavor without being overbearing. Highly recommend! read more

La Fogata - Fajitas!!! - Mexican Near Me - Arcadia, Louisiana

I'm giving this spot a one star simply because its way toooo expensive and the food wasn't good. Ive eaten at many Mexican restaurants before where I paid half the price and the food taste decent. Our Carne was overcooked and dry. Portions were not up to par FOR THE PRICE. A Carne Asada steak with rice and beans tambien tortillas costed 16 bucks!!?! Cmon mann! 7 bucks for a ground beef burrito -__- and the fajita tradionales tambien 16 bucks only had 4 little strips of steak and 3 shrimp!!?! If yall like eating onions, go ahead and try this spot out because theres plenty of that. But if you want to stretch your dollar out, I suggest you find another spot to eat at. Sincerely, Your Yelper :) read more

Nice little Mexican place. Service was friendly and prompt. Food was flavored well and cooked to perfection. Chicken chimichanga was very good. Chicken was juicy and not over cooked. Salsa was fresh and I love that they give you a container to refill your own since I love salsa. Chips were thin and crispy and the tea was nice and cold. Prices were a little high for lunch as it was $22 for 2 people for 2 lunch specials and 2 teas but I would eat here again. read more

Awful. Ordered shredded beef taco and got a plate of FAT. SEE PIC. This was their special of the day. When I told the cashier she smiled and laughed. Not cool when you are talking about food. read more

Just stopped for dinner here while on a family road trip. What a pleasant surprise! Small (family run?) restaurant with good Mexican food. My chicken tortilla soup was amazing. More chicken stew with lots of breast meat and loaded with real vegetables. Healthiest meal in LA!! The guacamole was fresh, too. The coldest mug of beer I've ever been served. (I'm not the driver here.). Would highly recommend especially as an alternative to a chain on the highway. I'm only keeping to four stars due to some outdated decor. read more

My son works in this area and recommended this place to us when we were traveling through Louisiana on Interstate 20. We stopped in very early for dinner (around 4) and ordered fajitas. They were great!! Flavorful, well cooked with all of the normal accompanying items. The homemade guacamole is very good. Service was quick, friendly and efficient. I love La Fogata! The mexican food there is great and friendly staff. Good portions of food and very quick also.

Fast service, good queso and sweet tea! Chips had no flavor of salt though. Food was pretty good other than that!

The service is good if you don't get the guy that doesn't understand English or chooses not too. Food is always good, but prices are high for the portions. A plus is the entertainment on Friday nights. read more
