I don't get it. This place is a tiny shop with lots of empanadas. Maybe you'll find one that suits your fancy, but I was disappointed in the two I tried: four cheese and spicy criollo sausage. God knows how long they'd been sitting out before I walked in and selected them for reheating. I really liked the food and the guy was friendly and nice. He really did a customer service. The food is really good and there is a big variety of stuffing so everyone can find their thing. I really loved the place and I think the different stuffing makes it possible for people who vegan, vegetarian or pescatarian to eat something on the go. It is really hard to find sometimes to eat if you have special dietary. Went here around 5:30 pm with a friend and the place was empty but all the empanadas looked great. I tried to order the Thai empanada but the guy said they were all out of it so I got 3 he recommended which was the spinach, caprese and spicy chorizo. My fav was the spicy chorizo but all 3 of my empanadas were hardly heated all the way through. They ask you if youd like them warmed up but when I started to eat them they were just slightly warmed up. Wish they heated them throughly through. Im so impressed with the variety & designs of crusts. What a great place to get some snacks today take to Park Gruell. This is a perfect snack to have and the crust was so thin & crispy. Stayed at the hotel next door, walked past and noticed Empanadas! Ive been craving empanadas so I was super excited! Unfortunately the flavor was great but the food was super cold. I'm not sure if the food is refrigerated in the glass casing, I hope it is, since they sell meat and veggie options. They warmed up my food but it was not nearly enough time. When I got to my hotel (again just next door so not enough time for it to cool down or get completely cold) and I only a couple bites from the meat-I was worried of getting sick since the middle was so cold. I think if I return I will request them to warm it up for at least for a minute and a half. read more

For a quick bite this was great. The prices were pretty reasonable at €5 for 2 enchiladas and a drink. The assorted options was great and they were all packed with a lot of meats and flavours. The shop is tiny but there is a lot of variety of empanadas. My favorite was the spicy chicken. The dough is DELICIOUS! I love that they weren't oily yet had a lot of flavor. La Fabrica is definitely the go to spot in the Gothic Quarter!!!!! The dough is made fresh and the selections of ingredients to fill the empanadas is great!!!! I bought one to try and before I walked away I bought 12 more and had them packaged for me to take back to the USA the next day. This will be your favorite place to get empanadas! They are extremely helpful and have great, quality food. The empanadas are €1.95 each or €5 for 2 and a drink, or €6.50 3 And a drink. Spicy chicken, Spicy meat, and 4 cheese were my favorite flavors and it's nice because they heat the food up for you, if need be. Although my family and I were in town for a couple of days, we visited this place multiple times for a late night snack. It's in a great location with other snack food options around it. The line can get pretty long and there's not a lot of space inside but they movs pretty quickly. I will definitely be back when I visit Barcelona again! read more
