My family and I decided to come to Buenos Aires grill after seeing all the great reviews! We were luckily able to walk in and get a table but they did ask if we had a reservation so I think it might be smart to get a reservation next time! The wait staff was phenomenal and the menu looked amazing! To start off, we got a bottle of wine for the table and the chorizo and morcilla with bread service as an appetizer which delicious! For the main, one of us got a bife which came with fries and the rest of the 3 of us shared the parilla for 2 and it was plenty of meat! It came with a great variety of cuts and 3 sides, French fries, baked potato and salad so it was plenty!! And then to wrap it up, we get the Dulce de leche flan for dessert and it was also delicious. Phenomenal place! I arrived in Barcelona hungry and searched yelp for a close restaurant. Found this one and was in the mood for a steak. I asked the concierge about this place and he smiled. He said he often sends clients to a fancier steak house but he prefers this one. So I tried it. Great wine, steak, sides, bread, and great service. Our 1st choice was closed when we arrived (to EU in general, follow online reservations w/ a call) and we pivoted here. da Scene: Not far from where our tour of La Sagrata Familia ended, a few tables outside if you wish to eat & smoke.  But opt for inside as it's a cool joint, trendy long bar to the left, well stocked w/ gin & whiskey and a few 2 & 4 tops line the right.  Space is deeper than wide, but can accommodate groups towards the back.  View their 300+ variety of wines on display. Vibe is VERY chill, dim like a steakhouse should be, some old time mellow jazz, soul, r&b playing, set a great mood. I was settled in  w/ a Manhattan quickly. da Grub: Pumpkin soup and carpaccio to start, and a wine recommendation to go with our dinner.  Argentinian beef is their specialty, so we opted for a 1kg combo, to taste their many cuts.  This is my 3rd experience w/ this beef and while flavorful, you must take care to lean to the med-rare to rare preparation, or it will not have the texture an "American" palate will appreciate, as beef @ home tends to be more well marbled. The steaks were cooked perfectly, and was an ample serving (except for the filet, which was 3 bites at most). Our favorite was the skirt steak and blood sausage, the other cuts tended to not have a "personality" and needed the supplied chimichurri sauce. We were awash in sides: fries, baked potatoes, root vegetables, and salad.  It was so much food for 2 we could not finish, skipping coffee & dessert.  I would suggest to the ownership to add beef ribs to the combo! da Service: Excellent, you'll be relived to know all service folks we met spoke enough English to let your guard down and relax the tension of straining w/ Spanish.  Host was welcoming, waiters quick and attentive, but the Sommelier was great and made sure we were well attended to even when selecting a $50 wine for us. read more

This one was tough for me (that's a pun because my steak was tough-ish). Our last night in Barcelona we wanted steak (not sure why since we are from KC and can have great steak all the time.) We started with a couple of empanadas which were delicious. In hindsight I wish I would have ordered more of those for my meal. Next we all got the filet and fries. The fries were fine. My sister and daughter said their steaks were fine. Mine was kind of tough. My daughter and I ordered the same sauce (I think pepper?) and my sister ordered a different sauce (I think mushroom?) any way we figured out at the end that we def got her sauce and she got ours. Either way I don't think any of them were worth the $3 charge. read more

We wanted a nice steakhouse for my friends Birthday dinner. We looked this place up and decided to try it. We made reservations. When we arrived we were seated right away. Our server was amazing. He was very knowledgeable on the menu. He explained the steak cuts to us. I ordered the spare ribs grilled with fries. I had a banana split for dessert, all which was amazing. We told the waiter it was our friends birthday and they made it super special for her. They turned on "Celebration" music and the whole restaurant was clapping and cheering for her. I ate here twice in the last two weeks and now wish I had not gone back. My dinner was delicious the first time but I learned two things: if you want your rib-eye medium rare, order it medium; and don't let the waiter bully you into wines-by-the-glass that are not on the menu. (They will be double the price.) But it was so good I'd have given it four or five stars. Well, tonight's waiter tried the same thing with the wine and when I firmly said, No, I'll take the Cinco Sentidos Malbec, he was clearly annoyed. Then, when my meal arrived he tried the same thing. When I again said, No, I was happy with the Malbec, he walked off, leaving the two "superior" bottles he'd tried to pour for me on the table. (I asked someone else to remove them.) Though my rib-eye was cooked perfectly this time, it was tasteless and not very juicy. The tiny ramekin of mushroom sauce that came with my steak had no flavor whatsoever. This Argentine steakhouse was a great find. My biggest recommendation would be to get there early. We arrived around 6:00 and the place was fairly empty and were seated right away, but shortly after that the place was packed and even if you had a reservation you may still have to wait a few minutes. This place isn't small either. After eating lots of tapas over the past couple weeks this was perfect. The menu had a variety of steaks from Argentina and Uruguay to choose from. After ordering we were presented with an Amuse-bouche and some bread and home made garlic butter that was pretty tasty and a nice surprise. We followed that up with the chips and guacamole, which I know is not Argentine, but it was still pretty good. The steak followed and it was cooked perfectly medium rare. Just how a steak should be eaten. The chimmichurri sauce was the quite delicious and complimented the steak perfectly. After we finished we were presented with a free small cocktail to finish us off. Steak was good. I had what is known in USA as Churrasco my wife had the sirloin. The churrasco was very good with Chimichurri sauce. We payed extra for mushroom sauce but not worth it. After returning to Barcelona from spending the day in the historic town of Girona, we wanted to eat a churrasco (Argentinian steak). So we got on Yelp and came across this place. Buenos Aires is a great place for high quality steaks if you find yourself in Barcelona, and you don't need a plane or a passport to get here ;-) The service here is excellent; our server explained all the various cuts of meat available so we could order what suited us best. Tip: The house wine is outstanding, and very reasonably priced as well :-) The portion sizes here are enough to feed even the hungriest Yelper, and the chimichurri sauce they serve with the complimentary bread is over-the-top delicious. Our steaks were wonderfully seasoned, and perfectly cooked (medium-rare, exactly as we had specified). As an extra bonus, there's even a speakeasy that is accessed through the meat fridge; we were introduced to it after dinner. I was here on a trip in 2016 & came back when I returned a year later. The first time I was the only one of 15 people to order the filet, and everyone had entree envy as it towers on the plate. I've been to Argentina and agree it's the best meat in the world, so I usually try places like this when I see them. This is one of the best I've been to. We were helped by various people who were all friendly & helpful, but Dan was really attentive & wanted to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. Both times I ordered the filet, 400g, medium rare. I found there one of my favorite Malbec. (: We chose beef carpaccio and ceviche for the starters. Both of them were more then delicious. This is tourist trap place. I can't believe it received 4.5 rating on TripAdvisor! We went there for dinner because the good reviews and rating. We were disappointed!!! Food was made like in fast food restaurant! What a shame!!!! The bread and tortilla tasted old and tortilla has lost its crispiness because it has been sitting in the kitchen whole day long. We also ordered grilled corn. They basically boiled the corn, then put it on grill for a couple seconds, then tell you "this is the grilled corn that we charge 5 euro for it " (see my picture) Then came to the spaghetti with meat sauce. I could make better spaghetti than this. It appears the spaghetti was precooked waiting for customers to order like in fast food restaurant. What a shame!!! Then came to my grilled fillet steak and shrimp. It took nearly one hour for the dish to come and they were dry and less flavorful. (See picture) Again, everything is done fast food restaurant style in this restaurant despite the pop restaurant atmosphere. This is more of drinking and party place than a dinner place. Large classy steakhouse in a nice neighborhood. We went early around 6pm so had no problem getting a table for two. But within 30 minutes, the hosts were giving 1.5-2 hour wait-times for walk-ins. I recommend reservations if you're not going as soon as it opens. The service was friendly and they have a nice long bar at the front of the restaurant. The bartender was meticulous in making drinks. Steak is the focus and they have beef from Spain and beef they fly in from Argentina supposedly. I had a strip and it was cooked nicely. Simply prepared with some salt & pepper and grilled, they serve the steaks with different chimmichurri sauces which were very good. They have a variety of items on their menu from pasta, fish, chicken etc. Strangely enough, they have chips and guacamole as an appetizer. I call it serendipity. Initially walked to the area for another restaurant but was closed so settled for Buenos Aries. Got the rump steak (medium rare) and boy they got it perfect. It came with a choice of baked potatoes or fries. I got the fries. However I would've preferred mashed potatoes (not a big deal). Order the house Malbac. It is a great deal for the full bottle. Valued higher in American dollar but decently priced at the restaurant. For dessert I got a classic brownie a la mode. It was delicious; the brownie was soft and a lot more coco-y than traditional brownies but that's ok. With respect to customer service, everyone had pleasant and welcoming reception. The waiters are nice and showed joyfullness towards what they do which is great for their customers. I recommend this place 10 out of 10. read more

I was craving steak during my visit to Barcelona. Buenos Aires didn't disappoint. I had the rib eye, and my wife had the ribs. Steak and ribs were both great. Red wine sauce on the steak was excellent. We split a bottle of wine and had the chorizo as well. Chorizo came on a piece of bread with some peppers and onions on the side. All together, reminded me of a smaller sausage and peppers from outside of Fenway Park in Boston. Desert was great. Brownie and ice cream, always a great combo. read more
