What really disappointed me was being charged $9 for a plate of French fries with an egg that tasted awful. On top of that, I was charged $3.60 for tap water, which felt excessive and unnecessary. I thought it would need bread but you can just eat it by itself. Don't miss starting with this! I highly recommend the "Tasting the best meats in the world" where you can select 3 different cuts of meat (approx 600 grams). Use what they suggest (anything with an R beside it). We started with the Argentina filet and couldn't imagine it getting any better but the Nebraska ribeye melted in your mouth and finishing with the Wagyu was perfection. Don't skip dessert. The caramel volcano was sooooo good but the truffles were also made in house and deserve to be noted. The restaurant matches the Argentina theme and has a cool vibe. First one star review in a very long time. I guess my luck couldn't hold out forever. I am upset that I will never get this 3 hours of my life back, not to mention the significant cost of this awful food and service. We ordered 3 steaks to share: Ribeye, Flank, and Wagyu Picanha. We also had sweet breads and fries, both of those were pretty good. I ordered all the steaks medium rare. The first one was the ribeye which was light gray (no crust) on the outside and raw/blue on the inside. Sent it back and it was cooked correctly. Next steak was the flank it was cooked correctly, medium rare as ordered. This proves even a broken clock is right 2 times a day. Next was the Wagyu Picahna, which of course is what we were most looking forward to. It was blue/raw. The fat cap was not rendered at all due to severe undercooking and the fact that side clearly never touched heat, which means it was raw fat. A good veterinarian could have still saved that cow. We sent it back and the cook clearly did not cook it any more and the person who brought it to the table took great pains to make sure we couldn't see the inside as he cut it before scurrying off. At this point we ate it because we are 3 hours in on 3 steaks. That is how slow the service was. I have no idea why they wouldn't just bring all the steaks at once. By the time we were on the third steak I will let you imagine how dry, stale, and gross the waffle fries with eggs on top were after sitting for 3 hours. I will also mention the complete lack of seasoning. I believe each steak contained 1 grain of salt. We had a lot of amazing meals in this city. DO NOT waste your time and money here. read more

The steaks were all undercooked. We sent two back and only one came back cooked properly. They ruined a good waygu picanha. I never got my second water that I ordered. They took us in luckily with only a five minute wait even though most here had made reservations in advance. The meat here is simply phenomenal. Most restaurants always overdo or underdo the cooking of a steak, but this place got it just perfect. After the first bite you will fall in love; the flavor levels are shocking! Perfectly juicy and tender. Also not pictured but tried the Tagilatelle Carbonara pasta which was also full of flavors. The sauce in this pasta was just flavor shock!! You can truly get a full spectrum of flavors here. The dessert menu is also huge along with the regular menu. There is something for everyone on that dessert menu so be sure to take a look. We tried the Balcarce Cake which was another love at first bite. Absolutely devoured everything. Even their ice cream tasted magical, how do they do that? We visited our last night in Barcelona. I wish we had went sooner, if so I'm sure we would have dined here another time or two before we left! The restaurant is small, modern, nicely appointed. The hostess was friendly and sweet and seated for our reservation promptly. Our waiter, Diego, was very knowledgeable about the menu and more than willing to spend time to describe the menu. Our first course, spicy meat empanadas were amazing. The filling was moist with just a bit of spice. The pastry was tender and crisp. The best empanada I've had. Our second course was a pumpkin filled ravioli with pink sauce. I had to stop mid bite to savor the deliciousness! I wanted 2 orders of this it was that good! We both ordered the Ribeye steaks. Cooked perfectly. Served with roasted potatoes with cream. We also had waffle potatoes with fried eggs, I can't explain how good these taste. My girlfriend and I originally came to this restaurant tonight for her b-day dinner. We didn't make a reservation because of last minute decision to choose this place based on reviews. I have to start off and say the hosts at this restaurant are the most friendly I've ever met. They were booked at this location and hooked us up with a last minute reservation at their other location at Carrer de Ganduxer. The host literally walked us to the corner and hailed a cab for us (this is unheard of in the states)...so friendly! We arrive at the second location and looks like a smaller version of the restaurant but still holds the same quality friendliness of the staff. Although the menu is a little smaller at this location, my girlfriend doesn't eat red meat. They actually went out of their way to grill a salmon for her even though It wasn't on the menu! That was incredible from them. To top it off they also gave us a bottle of champagne on the house, and when we ordered desert they also put candles on it :) We were very impressed with the speed, friendliness, clean, sophisticated staff.
