Had a tamal as well which was exactly what it should be, if not a bit on the small side compared to other places. For the main course I had the steak with two sides and it was perfect. The steak was cooked perfectly and was tender as can be. It was cooked perfectly medium as requested. Got fried yucca and fried plantains for the sides, both were very good. There were many other sides that were available to suit your preferences. Anyone who is in the area needs to give this place a try. It may not be the food you are used to but it offers many really good flavors. Nothing is oddly spiced that would be an issue for super picky eaters. The employee who took our order was friendly and courteous, and the dining area, including the tables and floors, appeared clean. We did feel the prices were a bit on the expensive side. Unfortunately, we didn't care for the flavor of the Peruvian chicken fried rice, and overall the experience wasn't enough for us to return. We hope the odor issue is resolved, as it made a big first impression.

Every time we've attempted to eat here on a reservation, they've had issues. Never set up and ready to seat us. Never prepared upon opening... and it's never busy when they first open which is why we always go early. But, they are NEVER ready to seat us. What's the use of making a reservation a week in advance if you're not going to be ready to seat the party nor accommodate the request? How would you like to find out at the last minute that they're going to split up your party at two different tables on two different sides of the restaurant because they weren't prepared when you gave them a week's notice via reservation? The food isn't that good to have to keep going through the challenge of being seated every time we make a reservation for a group. They're really pricey, too. So, certainly not worth this chronic headache. There are PLENTY of other places in the Town Center or in Herndon/Reston in general where you can get a tasty meal, not drop a day's pay, and have your entire party served well together.
