Dont be fooled by it location. It's in a very sketchy part of Long Beach and street parking only. But once you walk in, you will be welcome it warm hospitality. Authentic mix cuisine of El Salvador and Guatemala. Even the little touches of decorations makes it look like you are in El Salvador. Clean, pristine and authentic. The plain, hand made tortilla as a complimentary appetizer comes out piping hot with the refried beans is very tasty. The pupusas are huge, with generous amount of cheese, beans and other fillings. Its steaming hot and cheese just waiting for it to ooze out. The Curtido is perfect with enough crunch, just to balance it out. The Pupusa Platter comes with rice and beans. The Filete al Mojo de Ajo is perfectly grilled, seasoned will topped with Garlic sauce. Authentic tasting. Must have the Empanadas stuffed with Cream Cheese to end our meal. Staff are amazing. English and Spanish review. I came here today to get authentic Central American food from I must say I was very impressed!! I got the Guatemalan tamales with pork and it was cooked to perfection. It have a nice big tasty pork inside the tamales and was warm, tender and delicious!!!!!!. I also got two pupusas the revelta ones and wow just amazing, hot the right amount of meat, cheese and beans inside. The cabbage they give you on the side was perfect not to spicy like some other places. I definitely recommend this place and I will be coming back soon. Also very friendly staff as well That works here! This restaurant definitely is an accurate representation of Central America Cuisine. Amazing food and amazing customer service. The food was full of flavor and the waitress actually recommended a great dish... I can't even pronounce it but it was basically a chicken soup but instead of chicken, it was rooster. The soup had tons of flavor and the meat was tender (rooster is usually tough). As appetizers, we had some mini tortillas with black beans. Orgasmic I must say. Will definitely be coming back to explore their other dishes. The restaurant is fairly new and it's clean and although it has some Guatemalan touch to it (typical cloth around the chair and booths), it is also very modern with lots of flat screens around. Great food! Horrible cooks. They will always get your order wrong. Or something will be missing. Beware if you're ordering to go. Check your food. I like their popusas but I never get my exact order. Multiple times have I picked up and gone home with wrong fillings in my popusas or missing of cheese. I let the restaurant know of this every time and they don't seem to make anything right. Pandemic approved! We get their pupusas combo - Plato de pupusas (bean/cheese, vegetarian, chicken) the majority of the time. I just wish their sides (beans and rice) would be a bit bigger. Their caldo de res is excellent. Their empanadas de leche or frijo has large portions of cassava and is filling. They have handmade tortillas if that's what you like...and I like, I like very much. Parking is not always available if you're picking up or dining in so plan accordingly. Prices are more than most but less than others ($ to $$). But well worth the try. read more

Customer service A!!! That is a huge PLUS for me anywhere. The price was a bit shocking, all the pupusa shops I go to are max 2.50 each, here they are $4 each. The only big disappointment was 3 of our revuelta popusas were too messy and overflowing with the beans. Oh one more thing I think we got way too much curtido and salsa. My hubby and I have tried 4 different places near by, and we always feel like we overpaid for what the food is worth. This was a really authentic Salvadorean restaurant with food that was super tasty, but the food takes an incredibly long time to come out. The staff was pretty nice and friendly, but it was so strange how long our food took when we were the only people there. I missed the beginning of an important work meeting because the food took almost an hour to come out. I ordered a taco platter. Most of the people with me ordered pupusas. Everything was super fresh and hot, so there's that. Parking is scarce. There is no dedicated lot, but we lucked out with a street spot. The decor inside is nice, and the seating is functional. Came to eat with the family. They had come before but it was my first time. I had the pupusas revueltas and they were some of the best I've had, in the (USA) . My grandma had to go to the restroom when we got here at they're still open. She said they were clean. Servers are very nice and bilingual. They still use masks and you need a mask to enter the restaurant. Overall the ambiance of the restaurant reminds me of El Salvador and is clean and safe with COVID still lurking. This is a whole new cuisine for me, so I was excited to try it.
