No blue light specials here - higher end stores and boutiques abound in an absolutely divine setting. From Coach, Louis Vuitton, BCBG (whose dresses I'm constantly dry humping, much to the dismay of sales girls nationwide) to the more affordable Bebe and Lucky Brand Jeans. I don't think I've ever been to a more gorgeous mall. Easy in and out with plenty of parking. Come at sunset - the views over by Anthropologie are to die for. read more

Oh you fancy huh? This wouldnt be my favorite mall in Tucson, there's just stores here you dont shop at on a regular basis. But if your looking for something more high end, then they have boutiques like BCBG and True Religion. Usually the spot to pick something up for a special occasion or special someone. Besides the restaurants, Tiffany's is probly the only store I've dropped money in. If I was to spoil myself I'd make a drive to shop out of Tucson (like Phoenix/Scottsdale). But its an outdoor mall located on the foothills of tucson. Pick a good spot and you'll get a beautiful view of the scenery and city. read more

La Encantada is a beautiful outdoor mall. They have very high end stores and the crowds to go with it. If I need a nice gift or need that perfect dress, I always hit La Encantada first. With Williams-Sonoma, Pottery Barn, Crate and Barrel, Anthropologie, Papyrus, Coach, MAC, and an Apple store (among many others), it's a great place to spend the day. I love to hit Williams-Sonoma to look at their latest stuff, wanter around Anthropologie and Crate and Barrel and then hit up AJ's Fine Foods for an iced coffee and some chocolate. And a 6 pack of beer and fancy cheese to go. I recommend parking in the back (entrance is off of Campbell north of Sunrise)- there are more spots and it's less hectic than the entrance off of Sunrise by AJs. I've never left La Encantada disappointed after a shopping trip. HOWEVER At night, the restaurants (Especially North) come alive with a pretty unique crowd- older singles (post-college) acting like they have more money than they actually do. Or the DILF wanna bes dropping Benjamins like it's no big deal, just trying to hook up. On the flipside, it's also a Cougartown. So be warned. read more

On beautiful days I love to wander through this "mall". Today was no exception. Had to pick up some cards and a gift for a friend. Parking isn't difficult depending on day and time. I usually go to the back and park in the covered parking. In tucson that is a great feature. There are a variety of stores and restaurants here so you can find just about anything you are looking for. Yes, most stores are more expensive. But they aren't Target. Don't expect them to be. Go here. Do some window shopping. Bring your dogs as they are welcome and enjoy the views. A nice relaxing Sunday. read more

I LOVE La Encantada! It really offers a wonderful shopping and dining experience. There's nothing else like it in Tucson. It has anything and everything I could ever want and/or need! From clothing, home décor, dining, shoes, sunglasses to fine foods and more! You will most likely find me in Anthropologie and J. Crew. I just love their cute clothes, fabulous styles, and accessories. Sundresses at Anthro ROCK! Oh and the sales peeps are wonderful and super friendly. I love to wander through the beautiful courtyards to the different stores even if I'm not in the purchasing mood. Just browsing is sometimes just as fun! BCBG is awesome and always has great sales on clothes and shoes and I am totally stuck on ILORI, the super hot designer sunglass shop where you get to try on all the cool new styles. After a long day of walking and shopping I love to head over to Armitage for their awesome cocktails and appetizers. They have the best happy hour specials in all of Tucson. I always start off with a glass of their sauvignon blanc and an order of the bruchetta.....outa this world delicious! I was bummed to learn that Mini's Cupcakes is closing its doors and Bluepoint and Pamela Laurence Gallery have already shut down. The Apple Store, I must say, is typically always crowded! That I can understand never having an issue going out of business. Same goes for Crate & Barrell, another one of my favorite stores! I adore all of their home décor! I enjoy coming to this shopping center for a few stores I love (William Sonoma being my favorite) and to occasionally dine with nice views. This shopping center is always clean and well manicured and even on the busy days, it never seems to get too loud. Be warned that if your pocket book is feeling a little light, this may not be the shopping mall to find great deals. With stores like Tommy Bahama, Coach, Louis Vuitton, Bebe, Pottery Barn, and l occitane, you are looking at designer prices to go with these brand names. But if you find yourself short of things to do one lonely beautiful Tucson day, take a gander and walk the shopping center being sure to stop at Pawsh, the pet boutique which features adopatable dogs and cats (from the Human Society of Southern Arizona) and say "Hi" to the little furries for me! Maybe even stop at Frost on your way out for a delectable gelato. :) read more

Maybe i am just spoiled because the Fashion Valley Mall in San Diego is a lot more comprehensive. I had been to this mall a couple of years ago, and I feel like it had more of a "wow" factor back then. Too big to be a strip mall, to small to really be a Mall. Seem like they are lacking something here - for a town that is supposed to be so resort-ish they should have a Lily Pulitzer or a Lulu Lemon. They could use a Nordstrom. Nordstrom is the best store ever. I love AJ's Market here - great selection of wine, with in store tastings. Good cheese selection, and good variety of specialty items and products from around the world. read more

Came here to check out the scene/eat at North. Coming from LA, this mall isn't very impressive. Perhaps LA people are spoiled. I give the mall a 3 because it's nicely kept and overall looks like a higher end mall. My problem is it's small and doesn't have a lot of stores. There are not a lot of high end stores for a high end mall. But to be fair "high end" is a relative term. Lastly I couldn't believe just about all the stores were closed at 7 on a Tuesday. But that goes for all the stores around the area. It is the nicest shopping center I've found around Tucson. Also seems to be a popular hang out spot. Guessing I will come to appreciate this mall. read more

La Encantada is one of my highlights whenever I visit Tucson. It's THE high-end shopping located in the Foothills. I love that it's outdoor shopping (although in the middle of summer I start changing my tune). They do a great job of keeping it clean, well landscaped, and it just has great energy. It's not too big, but has stores for almost anyone to enjoy (e.g., Apple, Anthropologie, MAC, Crate & Barrel). My ritual is stopping by A&J's and getting an iced coffee to go and sip on it while strolling through the rest of the stores...follow my lead and thank me later. They have wonderful dining options too. End your shopping spree at one of the restaurants and get a dessert at Frost in the end. Consider this itinerary a perfect day. read more

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Can I afford it? NO. Do I look beyond that and grab a glass of wine at Armitage or some gelato at Frost and do some window shopping? ABSOLUTELY!! I look beyond the Ken's and Barbie's, especially during RA Sushi Happy Hours and just enjoy the outdoors and everything that the Foothills has to offer. The atmosphere of this place is spectacular. The food choices are top notch and I give the window shopping an A+, with the occasional purchase at Black and White, Victoria Secret or Crate and Barrel. This is by far the place to come with some out-of-town friends or a fun night out. Enjoy!! Tip: Dogs welcome. You'll see them everywhere! I love La Encantada. I only wish I lived closer so it was a regular experience instead of a once in a while treat. The stores are higher-end and the place is really only busy on the weekends. On a weeknight, it's shockingly (but pleasantly) devoid of crowds. During a recent Tuesday-evening visit (around 7PM) I was the only customer in several stores. When I want a relaxing day of shopping I head here to visit Crate & Barrel, MAC, Bebe, White House Black Market, BCBG & Coach (among others) and then maybe an early dinner at RA Sushi followed by a sweet treat of gelato or cupcakes across the way. There's also an Apple store which is usually swamped with people, no matter the time or day. As other reviews noted, the place is immaculately clean & constantly patrolled by security guards. read more

There is so much to love about La Encantada, it's upscale, full of great retailers, the demeanor of the employees is generally more pleasant then other shopping centers in tucson. Sometimes however the staff in some stores have let the upscale nature of the mall go to their head and can come across rude or disinterested. The mall contains some of my favorite stores in tucson and plenty of places my wife loves like Pottery Barn, Williams Sonoma, Crate and Barrel, and Coach. They also have the wonder of AJ's fine foods, great restaurants, a Frost Gelato, and ample parking. In the Summer the heat can be a bit much and when its really cold it can be a bit overwhelming as well, such is the nature of a outdoor shopping center. They do a great job of keeping the mall clean, welcoming, and full of high end retailers. If you are looking for something nicer or more pricey then you can find in town venture up to the foothills and check La Encantada out. read more

A fancy mall for the higher end consumer. It has an Apple Store. It has Lush. It has Crate & Barrel, Louis Vuitton, L'Occitane, etc. It has some decent restaurants too. It's mostly outdoors, which isn't so bad during the cooler months. The parking lots are arranged kinda wonky, but it's a minor quibble. Decently enjoyable. read more

The luxury shopping mall in Tucson near the home of Wildcat legend Lute Olson, La Encantada boasts the ultimate shopping experience in this small college town. It's a good 20 miles from UA (University of Arizona), but it's a relatively easy drive from one side of town to the other. There's nothing overspectacular with this specific mall with the exception that it's the premier outlet outdoor mall in Tucson. I don't recommend hanging outside here in the dog days of summer; it's not uncommon for people to suffer from heatstroke and dehydration! Many of the shoppers in the area live in the neighborhood, or you'll see the occasional college student venturing around the area. It is the upper echelon for shoppers here; many of the name brands are here; Apple, Coach, J Crew, and Kate Spade to name a few. Most definitely a spot you should check out if you're visiting from out of town! read more

Love the speciality shops but the reason we drive up from Green Valley every other week is AJ's! Fantastic grocery store with outstanding fish/meat and bakery. Love calling the night before for our favorite bakery items, they're boxed and waiting for us. I'm highly sensitive to MSG even in poultry (it's used as a preservative and flavor enhancer and does not have to be listed on the label), AJ's chicken & turkey is completely MSG free and all natural. Thanks for helping me enjoy Thanksgiving again with a fresh turkey! Well worth the drive. read more

This place looks like some of our fancy outdoor shopping malls back home in SoCal, but a bit smaller. Lots of restaurants including one Mexican Restaurant that looks really good (Blanco) and a gelato place (Frost) that looked delicious also! It's pretty much all high end stores, but there are some stores with lower price points also...it just depends on what you're looking for. They also have Lush and Francesca's which I love! The most beautiful part was the spanish-style plaza downstairs, with nearby orange trees! Beautiful, lush trees with lots of oranges on them! I don't really know why it was so empty for a Sunday...these kinds of places are usually packed on weekends! Regardless, I'd come back to try some of their restaurants. read more

I was a little tired so I sat on a bench in front of Mildred and Dildred and took out my crochet. It was such a cool afternoon I had a wonderful time just people watching and talking. Ahhhhhhh! This place is a wonderful addition to Tucson's shopping scene. Yes, it contains mostly high end stores, so if you don't like spending cash on nicer things, there are outlet malls in Casa Grande for you. The landscaping and building facades are pleasing and impressive. Since the mall is outdoor, dog-walking is allowed. I love this mall and I hate the inadequate parking. People have to park in the street to shop here because they never built enough parking and the mall is not even 100% occupied. They need a second story parking garage similar to the new Macy's lot at Tucson Mall. But if you want to go to the Apple Store this is the only place in Tucson. La Encantada is a two story open mall with a nice selection of shops-mostly high end. The mall is larger than it appears though small compared to the other malls in Tucson. It is less crowded most of the time and there are some shops you won't find elsewhere. They have shoe stores, jewelry stores (including Tiffany), kids store (toy store and Gymboree), an Apple store, A.J.'s market, housewares( Williams Sonoma, Crate and Barrel), beauty products, and a number of clothing stores (Tommy Bahama, Lucky Brand, J.Jill, Soma, White House/Black Market, Ann Taylor, Talbots, and more) and restaurants (Blanco y Tacos, North, the Living Room, Humble Pie, Ra, Firebirds, Frost. Parking is available on the lower level but you can go behind A.J.'s to find parking in the middle area or up further to another area of parking. You can also get to more parking if you enter from Campbell and go past North and Firebirds to the upper parking area. The mall is dog-friendly and you'll often see people with their pets. It is a pleasant place to walk around. They sometimes have events there in the evenings and during the holidays have "snow" and music. read more

This is a review of the shopping center as a whole, not of any individual stores. La Encantada is well maintained and comfortable. I also appreciate the events held here. My favorite is Paws for the Holidays. My Japanese Chin, Chipper has attended this event for the past three years. This center is small dog friendly. The parking isn't bad, especially for a hilly location. However, I've seen the front lot packed, and the rear lot fairly empty. I would expect people with that level of income to have more sense. The rear lot is usually easier to deal with if you have small children, dogs, a handicapped person or large packages. My main complaint is there are very few local businesses in this center. read more

I've come here so many times to get away from the flatlands in the city of Tucson. The views from this mall are gorgeous and the atmosphere is relaxing. No review can do this mall justice, as it is something that needs to be experienced in person. Doggies are welcome here. This is an outdoor mall but there are plenty of shady spots to relax in when it's the hotter months. Here you will find a lot of high end stores that you can't find anywhere else in town, which is nice if you're searching for something designer and specific. Tons of WiFi hotspots at mostly every store and plenty of good restaurants to stop into. AJ's Fine Foods is one of my favorite grocery stores in Tucson. They offer so much more than the average grocery store and it's a nice spot for lunch. Highly recommend this mall if you're just in town for a while. read more

Being an out-of-towner maybe gives me a different perspective on this place, but it seems gaudy and out of place. Tucson isn't exactly an upscale city, so a luxury shopping mall that elbows out anything mid-range seems a bit harsh. It reeks of late 90's over-spending and I can almost hear the sound of people maxing out their credit cards to live beyond their means. Don't get me wrong I love shopping in many of the store they have here, but it seems like overkill to have like 5 high end sunglasses shops steps from one another in a city with an average income of a little over $30k. The layout of this place is labyrinth-like and confusing to walk around, I repeatedly found myself wandering past the same stores thinking I was in a new corridor. I will say there seem to be MILES of parking, so that is a welcome change from DC. read more

When I speak of malls in Tucson this mall isn't even on the same scale as the other malls.I absolutely love this mall ever chance I have I come to this mall.All my favorite stores are there.Its definitely more high class .your not gonna find a Dillard's or Charlotte Rouse in this mall.But you are gonna find Louis Vouton, Bebe ,BCBG, Tiffany & CO , Brooks Brothers ,MAC, Lucky Jeans and more.The restaurants are 4 to 5 star restaurants. la encantada is the créme de la créme of all the malls in tucson. they have the best upscale stores and have a great facility. i only really shop at a few (4 lol) of the stores here, but i think that there is a great variety of shops. it's open air, so it can get hot in the summer time, but they have water misters to keep patrons cooler. there are also a variety of restaurants that are great to eat at, but just like the shops, are a little on the higher end. read more

This is a mall for rich old ladies!!! The out door mall is very nice but none of the stores are of my taste. I tried locating a store for a younger style and found nothing. Nice place to walk around during spring or winter. I would definitely buy here if there were "younger" stores. read more

La Encantada has improved quite a bit in the last year. There are several new stores: LuluLemon Lush Goldies (high end boutique) Loft (will open in May) And an olive oil store And I even hear rumors of some places to fill the empty restaurant Venues. Several stores have also closed though such as Caché and Brooks Brothers has consolidated. In my personal opinion, this is a great mall, however I'm biased because I work at two stores there. It's true, this mall isn't as "high end" as most California malls or even as much as Scottsdale Fashion Square. However you have to keep in mind that Tucson does not have that sort of clientele. Most of Tucson is too laid back for anything more than Tiffany's or BCBG. As someone who was born and Raised in the Foothills and has worked at La Encantada for 2 years, I can tell you that most of the people who shop here are not locals. Those who are complaining that La Encantada is "too expensive" or hoity-toity... Well just don't come here. These are not the stores for your every day shopper. They are expensive. You'll rarely find anything less than $100. I will tell you from experienced that the people who are shocked at $99 jeans and demand for something cheaper are just the people I clench my jaw at and politely tell them there's nothing at this mall that will be less than that. You'd be surprised by how many people storm out when they are the price tag. It's unfortunate because I work in a store that has mid range prices for this mall. The cheapest store here is Francesca's. To those who say it's a waste of desert space, I tell you this: it has done amazing things for our economy. It brings in a huge amount of people to the restaurants and people who have an income that are able to spend at the stores. Since la encantada has been built, each surrounding street corner has also been developed, and contains amazing restaurants, galleries and businesses. It has brought so much to a community that was otherwise residential and resorts. However if you're looking to go to a beautiful outdoor mall that is never too, too busy where you have to duck and roll to avoid people, then La Encantada is the place to go. It's a little oasis in the desert. Lastly, in all the years I have worked here, there has never been one snobby person who has walked in to my store. Although I've held some pretty heavy credit cards, those belonged to people who were just like you or I. And hey, I don't mind marveling at some pretty awesome cars either. PS: They were going to put a Nordstrom in this mall but the HOA fought viciously against it. That's why the hours at the mall are so limited also. read more

Your typical swanky, outside mall. The scenery is nice - plenty of trees, fountains and pretty strung lights. Since it's an outside mall, you can bring your dog with you! Plenty of shops (ranging from $$$$$$$ to $$) and restaurants to choose from. Careful during the summer - they no longer turn on their misters therefore it gets deathly hot. read more

The stores are not the problem, it's the people that frequent this place. Rude, snobby, and "attitudy". I was disappointed that it was the week after Christmas and they had NOTHING on sale. Place was still pakced though. Parking lot is horrible filled with the above mentioned rude people. Wish I had more money to shop here more often. Don't come here in a hurry. The bathroom really smelled and was disgusting which suprised me for being such an upscale place. Great views of the surrounding area. read more
