This mall is a joke. It carries virtually no real luxury stores just a random scattering of midtier brands. This location used to carry stores like Louis Vuitton and St. John but now the Louis Vuitton store has been replaced by a kitchsy shop that sells rick and morty crap for adults who don't want to grow up. Many stores have left this location and while part of it has to do with the overall declining mall climate, part of it has to do with the fact that this mall is unable to recruit or retain good stores. There are opportunities to take on brands that would increase their traffic like Madewell but management is incompetent and keeps taking on no name businesses that dilute their image of being a "luxury" mall. I could see so many great stores like Cartier, Theory or Goyard (I can dream on the last one) making a home here if it was managed properly.
Right now the only real luxury stores include Tiffany & Co and Kate Spade but time will tell how long before they inevitably leave. Somehow this location still has a Coach store and a Michael Kors which are both financially struggling and barely even count as designer brands. There is a random selection of midtier brands like lululemon, brooks brothers, anthropologie, bluemercury, l'occitane, and west elm but you have to go to Scottsdale if you want good shopping. I wouldn't come here unless I needed to visit a specific store because it's not for perusing. There just aren't many good stores to shop at.
I also hate this outdoor mall concept. It's just a BS way for management to save on air conditioning which I could tolerate if there were actually stores worth visiting but there isn't. AJ's also isn't worth going to. It's like Whole Foods but dirtier, smaller and with worse customer service. This mall fails in every regard in a time when luxury malls are supposed to be thriving while regular malls are suffering but it's been mishandled so much that it accomplishes nothing and doesn't know what it wants to be. read more
