I was surprised to see lettuce and tomato on my taco today. I don't add food trucks on Yelp without proof of business intentions. They have electricity hookup and an actual address. The food vendor's license and health department certificate are clearly displayed. Yes. This is legit. The schedule kind of hit and miss. But you can certainly find this truck on weekends and most of nights. Beware, Harwin Drive is very busy. Make sure to mark it on your GPS and know where to stop. Parking is shared with surrounding businesses. So, there are plenty.

The staff has already noted this with me, but seeing as it should all be in the same umbrella, this is about as accurate as I'll get. Located in a nondescript parking lot in Alief, this taco truck is situated next to sister truck (#1) and is the destination for many locals in the know in the wee hours of the night. The protocol here is to order (quickly) at the truck window and then wait in the car while their team handles the order. The menu is extremely reminiscent of so many Houston $1 taqueria trucks, which have the usual smaller, two-biter taquitos but a myriad of other items that include "cryspy tacos" (#2), gringas, piratas, and somewhat obscure items like Tony's burger, gypsy burritos, zuzu tacos, luvacy burritos, and "michelle burguer." (#3) Side note: I do not recommend their Colombian hot dog. The meats here range from the typical fajita, pollo, and pastor along with chorizo, campechano, barbacoa, tripa, and chicharron. For non-taco fans, there are also sopes, quesadillas, burritos, tortas, tostadas, gorditas, and even huaraches available. The tacos are surely their top seller and the corn tortillas are the way to go. In terms of seasoning, the fajita is on point. I appreciate the fatty texture of the chicharron and the greasy goodness of the barbacoa. The salsa is strictly self serve on the counter and the charro beans are a nice touch. The usual outdoor taqueria rules also apply here: speak Spanish, have cash, and eat the food while it's fresh. This is a no frills business and certainly one that I anticipate that I'll be back more often than not. __________ (#1) Refrescaria #4, a juice truck. (#2) Presumably, dorados. Why is Los Perros so good? Well it's excellent value and utterly delicious. The name means "The Dogs", but honestly the Colombian style hot dogs are not the reason to come here. Yes, Colombian dogs are a fantastic and bizarre experience, as are Colombian burgers, and this place does a good version of both. They have quite an extensive hot dog selection, in fact, all of them very elaborate and extremely Latin. Colombian street food like Arepas are here, too. I recommend skipping all of them, to be honest. Because it's all about the chicken kebab. And the beef, but especially the chicken. I ordered Bubble Tea after I came here but the girl was in too much of a hurry to make it and it came out awful. You're better off with Los Perros than Rushed Taros. Now what I would get if I were you are the insaaaaanely good kebabs. We're talking Latin-style kebabs which means delicious marinaded chicken on a stick and the same thing with beef. You will have no beef with these kebabs. They are just freaking amazing. And so juicy and so tender and so perfect. One of them will fill most people up because it's just so much meat and so hot, juicy, heavy and satisfying. I almost went to that new place opened by Springsteen and actor Robert from Meet The Parents, Deerhunter, Godfather and Taxi Driver. Then I realized I'm better off at Los Perros than "Boss DeNiro's." Bear in mind the wait times can be very very long, especially when there are people ahead of you. The service is absolutely wonderful, though. Pretty good prices, too. After my meal I went to one of those newly-fashionable church orgies, it was fun. But I'd still rather be at Los Perros than "Cross Harems."
