Many assortments of treats
Hiral D.

A nice bakery with a wide assortment of cakes, cookies, bread, and other sweet treats. The system is a bit outdated because they could not get it to accept my chip card but prices are decent. I got a box of about 8 different treats for my friend and judging by the "mmm's," I think she and her family really enjoyed it. I had a small bite of the carrot cake to see how it was and liked it so I'm sure the rest were really good.

For a Mother's Day dessert, instead of baking something at home, we decided to treat mom with La Dolce's Italian Cheesecake. Note that I've only tasted Italian Cheesecake once before, so my experience with this style is fairly limited. The crust was a solid both in taste and texture (literally) being somewhere between cakey and crumbly. Doing some research on Italian Cheesecake, the crust is often made using crumbled Almond Amaretto (similar to a Macaron) cookies which have those properties I mentioned above. However, the key to any good cheesecake is the filling and La Dolce's was quite tasty. Instead of the strictly cream cheese based New York style cheesecake, the Italian cheesecake filling is usually a blend of Ricotta and cream cheese or just Ricotta. Ricotta is a bit more crumbly with little curds versus the smoother texture of cream cheese, and this clearly translated to the filling. Rich, slightly creamy, and much more savory versus sweet, I also welcomed the clear use of lemon zest which complimented the richness. My only gripe was it was a pretty dense filling. One odd thing was that the cake tasted better a few days afterwards. Nonetheless we all enjoyed the Cheesecake for Mother's Day!

My mom bought me their delicious fig cookies and lemon drop cookies just like my grandma use to make.

La Dolce is a very good Italian bakery in Old Bridge. I never had any of their cakes, but I've had many of their eclairs, St Joseph pasties, zeppolis, lobster tails, cannolis, cream puffs, lemon drop cookies, and fig cookies. All are very good! My mom is always ordering their lemon drop and fig cookies from this bakery all the time, and I'm always eating them up! This bakery has solid pastries, lemon drop and fig cookies.

I tried my very first cronut at The Feast of San Gennaro from La Dolce Cronuts based out of New Jersey. This was the best thing I've ever eaten! A cronut is a croissant-doughnut hybrid originally created in New York. If you're in the Old Bridge area, stop by this bakery...they were super nice!

Again they did a wonderful job! Loved this cake! Everyone was impressed! I would definitely recommend this bakery, although they aren't on the cheap side

Walked up to the bakery today at 3:58. The employee inside walked up to the door and locked it in my face. Great customer service.

The 7 layer cake is our of this world. A little pricey but I don't mind because it's delicious.

Our favorite Bakery when we visit home. I miss all the pastries and cookies and the semolina bread. I must try when you are in Old Bridge.

I had the latter recently and a last minute Yelp search led me to Main Street Donuts! I called and spoke with a very helpful and patient person on their team that helped me with the perfect platter and additional donut order for my event of about 50. I was already on cloud 9 that we had this additional sweet treat added to the night when I got a call from the owner who asked what kind of event they would be for and if we would like our company logo added to them - a perfect bonus! The donuts were ready on time, they were a HIT and I now have a favorite sweet treat spot. If you are a donut fan, make the stop in. Whether you are looking for trays for a party or event, or just a single sweet treat, you'll love it. The space is actually massive, and has plenty of space if you want to stay and snack. Enjoy!

Unfortunately, the person behind the counter (owner? manager? hard to tell) was deep in a personal conversation. I stood there waiting, trying to be patient. After about thirty seconds, he looked over and said, "I'll be right with you." Fair enough, except he went right back to chatting, laughing, and completely ignoring the customers standing there. My wife sat down while I kept waiting, watching the same scene play out. No rush, no acknowledgment, just a full-on conversation while I stood there like an unpaid extra in someone else's coffee break. After another half minute, I gave up. Said "this is stupid" and walked out. First visit, last visit. Plenty of donut shops in this world where customers aren't invisible.

Lots of other restaurants nearby.. lots of parking outside . Wasn't that crowded when I went . Service was ok and quick. I ordered through the digital kiosk and it was easy to order . Got ice cream with donut and they picked it in a plastic sandwich box pressing the whole scoop of ice cream down . When I opened the box , half ice cream was stuck in the plastic lid . Wish they had better packaging ! Ambience was ok .. Donuts were good . About 3$ for a donut , cheaper than aKrispy Kreme and tim hortons , but the quality wasn't as good as Tim Hortons ! The donuts were toooo sugary on the top. They almost had a thick layer of sugar and it gets stuck to the box if you pack it . It was a bit dry when I ate it at home .. donut ice cream was fantastic though. Ate it right then and it tasted like heaven. Was an average experience , especially the donuts being dry ! Wish it was soft .. 3 stars
