My husband and I were looking for a place to eat and we happened to find this one and let me tell you, this place was delicious, I got the Paella Marinera($42), calamar frito ($18), Fanta($5), and my husband got the Fettuccine Alfredo ($21)with chicken (+$7)and shrimp(+$9), and coke($6.5). He wasn't a fan of the chicken but the shrimp was very well cooked. Including the service charge everything came out to $142. It said the Paella serves 2 but I was able to eat 3/4 of it on my own ‍ it's really not that big but I'm either a party of 2 on my own or it's a good serving for 1 hungry person lol, it is served with enough protein for my liking. Service was immaculate, very friendly hostess and waitress with great recommendations. Ambiance was beautiful as well with city views, it was sprinkling while we were eating but we didn't get wet, well covered patio. I would definitely recommend people to try this place and whenever I'm back in Miami I would love to eat lunch or dinner here again. 10/10, 1000% recommend.

They have such cute drinks! I just got pineapple juice but my friends got their coconut drink and mojito and said it was to die for! They give you these plantain chips to snack on and they are so good! It's got a sweet, salty, and crunchy chip texture to it. For an appetizer, we got a sampler which had ropa vieja, plantains, empanadas, shredded pork, and some large fried potatoes. I loved that so you get to try a little bit of everything. The ropa vieja tasted just like grandmas. They use ropa vieja as the filling in the empanadas. The fried potato's was steak fry cut style. It was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Just how a perfect fry should taste! Everyone really liked the vaca frita! I think that's a must try! It's shredded beef marinated in this delicious citrus marinate. They fry it afterwards so it's pull apart, melt in your mount soft, with a nice crispy crunch to it. I think this is a must get dish. The desserts were delicious too! The flan was perfectly soft and creamy. The tres leches was delicious as well. This is a great place to have some good Cuban and enjoy a beautiful night out in Miami!

For a Friday evening, the restaurant wasn't particularly busy, but the ambiance was actually great. The music definitely added to the experience, especially some good Marc Anthony tunes in Spanish that I really enjoyed! The atmosphere was lively and gave us that Latin vibe we were hoping for. Our server, Diego, was incredibly attentive and really went above and beyond. At times it almost felt like he was trying too hard to make sure we were happy, but honestly, we appreciated the effort! We started with the empanadas and the avocado salad with chicken. The chicken on the salad was disappointing. It had the texture and appearance of previously frozen/reheated chicken rather than the freshly grilled chicken we were expecting. For our entrées, we tried both the steak and a chicken dish. Unfortunately, neither worked for us. Both lacked the flavor we were expecting and instead seemed to rely heavily on salt. We ended up not finishing either dish. The cocktails didn't save the evening either. I started with a lychee martini, which wasn't as good as I had hoped, followed by a Mai Tai that also could have been better. I also saw my drink being taste-tested twice at the bar before it was brought over, which admittedly left me a little unsure about drinking it afterward. And then... THE FLAN! Finally, something I can rave about. They make a VERY good flan, and it was easily the highlight of our dinner. That's all I'll say! :) Overall, the ambiance was great, the music was fun, Diego worked hard to make sure we were taken care of, and the flan was excellent. Unfortunately, when it came to the actual entrées and cocktails, the experience just didn't deliver for us. There are too many Cuban restaurants around to explore, so we'll be trying others rather than returning to this one.

I ordered a cafe con leche, a Cuban sandwich and a Media Noche sandwich. Everything was delicious. Especially the media noche sandwich. I've had plenty of media noches in my life, but never as good as this one. Not sure what kind of bread they use for their media noche, but it was so soft, just the perfect amount of sweetness. The Cuban sandwich of course was good, but tasted similar to others I've had. I can definitely see myself returning next time we're in the area.

I've never had anything quite like it, except maybe in Caribbean Costa Rica, and there is something so special about the way they make it here. It is literally my first stop every time I visit Miami Beach. I genuinely crave it! And then there's the quatro leches cake. INSANELY good. You will absolutely finish it. I recently tried their iced Cuban coffee with sugar and milk, and it was such a delicious addition. The passion fruit juice is also fantastic. I finally tried the grilled lobster plate, and WOW, it did not disappoint. Honestly, you might need to walk around the block a few times afterward because everything is just THAT good, and you're going to finish every last bite. Puerto Sagua has been serving Miami Beach since 1968, and it is still standing strong, serving incredible Cuban food with so much character and history. Great service and love the open restaurant ambiance diner feel. If you're visiting Miami Beach, DO NOT skip this place. Come hungry and get a taste of this iconic Cuban American restaurant. And whatever you do, GET THE OXTAIL STEW!

I was given a menu then an excessive about of time to review it. Place my oder and didn't see my server again until 20 minutes after I was done. A food runner brought the food and I had to flag down another server to get me more water. I asked my server for the desert menu. She was prompt in getting it to me but disappeared (not really, she had plenty of time for all the tables around me and was able to ignore me when I tried to get her attention). By the time she showed up to get my desert order I just asked for the check. I was rather pissed. I got the check and paid it, adding a 30% tip. It wasn't until I got the final print out that I discovered that the restaurant had already added a 20 gratuity. Since I had issues with my server, and the surprise automatic gratuity was not helping matters i asked for the manger. Told him about my experience and said there was NO the server earned and 50% tip. He refunded me the extra I put on as an added gratuity, but that was it. The food was good, but was so very salty I couldn't eat the entire entree (pork, rice, beans). The beans were good. The rice good. The prok goo to a point. Oh, they have also changed their name. With all the restaurants on the strip, try some where else. The service here is a problem and the salt ia enough to clog an artery.

The menus for pretty much every Cuban restaurant in South Beach are copy paste replicas so the menu had pretty standard options. I started with a passionfruit mojito. It was amazing, one of the best i have ever had. I also got a cubano, which was good, but nothing mind-blowing. My friend ordered the churrasco sandwich, but they gave her the plate instead. Basically all seating is outside, so if you're looking to escape the heat, probably not the best fit. Nice vibes outside but just something to be aware of! One of the chair legs literally broke underneath one of our party when she was just trying to scoot it back. We got given a new chair from the empty table next to us and moved on with the night. I really don't like how, when you order a sandwich, they ask "do you want fries with that?" So that you assume it it'll be free (as is very normal with sandwiches) when it's actually asking if you want to add an additional $10 side. Food wasn't bad, but not great. I think the empanada was my favorite, I loved the cilantro sauce with it (I just love cilantro!). Another in our party had the lobster and thought it was pretty good. But, the meat on all the sliders felt pretty dry and not that flavorful. I wished they had more sauce with or on them, which I would rather the meat itself was good enough I didn't want to cover it in sauce to make it good. I was so excited for flan, which I love, but I felt the texture was softer and more like pudding in my mouth than the firm custard texture I want. Also overall really expensive but I guess it's an expensive area? There were 6 of us with over $500 total and that felt like a lot.
