Awesome food, have been eating here since I was a high school student at Tracy High. Love the tacos

My family and I order from here almost every week. This restaurant has been a staple for us in Tracy. Everything is delicious and reasonable price for the area. Please don't change and continue to give generous portions. read more

This used to be one my favorite spots... untill I opened up my soda and found this GUNK all over my Pepsi. I asked the lady what it was, and all she said was " sorry" and gave me a new one. When I asked again, she walked away from me. "Sorry" doesn't change the fact that I drank half of this. I didn't even ask for a refund, but the least you can do is have someone explain what the hell it was I just consumed. I'm never coming back here. Anyone have any ideas? read more

La Costa - A PEPSI - Mexican Near Me - Tracy, California

Prices are so reasonable and food portions are huge. All outdoor seating but there is a roof. Perfect for a cool breeze. The burrito was hefty and it took a bit to finish it off. Didn't get to try others since we were the last customers there around 9pm in a Saturday night but I'll be back. read more

Wow! What a great burrito. This place is certainly worthy of their high rating on yelp. I ordered a Carne Asada burrito to go, and it was ready to pick up in two minute. Delicious read more

Good food Fast service i always Get Tacos or burritos always good tasting.

I've lived in Tracy all my life, and this place is probably our go to when we want tacos or burritos. I've yet to have a bad experience. The tacos are great and the burritos are great too, I haven't been disappointed once. The serving sizes are pretty good too. It's reasonably priced I'd say. The service is fine, nothing special but nothing bad either. I do usually get my food fast too. The ambiance is nice, I like the music they play too. read more

Best burritos in town!!! The burritos de carne Asada are very delicious. I love their hot sauce. It always hits the spot. It's worth the 30 minutes drive. read more

La Costa always has the freshest food. I was a big fan of the La Costa in my Oakland hometown and glad to say this one is just as good. I ordered a Asada burrito and it was just as fresh and loaded with meat. I had a Carnitas and Lengua taco which were just as delicious as well. I still miss my greasier tacos and burritos from the Oakland taco trucks at times. But La Costa is as close to home as I've been able to get here in Tracy. Only wish they had soda cans like the Oakland location. I'm not too fond of the fountain drinks, and also prefer Coke with my burrito. read more

Love this place!! Always delicious food at great prices. Never disappoints. Fast and friendly service.

The best fresh tacos I have ever had I got chicken , steak , and shrimp. All of them tasted as fresh as any taco I've ever had. Clean establishment. Unreal pricesZ. Great people. A+++ read more

The best food for a very cheap price I love this place have been coming here since I was a kid and it's still my family's favorite

Got the carnitas burrito. Did not taste very fresh. Carnitas was over salted. Just nothing too good to say about it. Just blah. I will not return. read more

Thanks fellow Yelpers... you represented indeed! After a cold...long...freezing ride out with friends... S.O. and I needed food asap... since I researched this place the night before... we headed out here before going back home... It was after 2 pm on a Saturday afternoon and the parking lot was still packed... S.O. ordered a carnitas burrito with cheese quesadilla (at first bite, he wasn't such a fan but half-way through... he said that it is a GOOD burrito indeed...) I ordered a steak asada burrito plus a chicken quesadilla (that I didn't end up eating... gave it to the S.O....) but the burrito itself was good... steak was juicy... nicely seasoned and it was the perfect size. I inhaled it... It definitely answered the hunger... Cheap, friendly and good food... can't ask for anything else! **CASH ONLY** I'll definitely hit this place again whenever I'm out in Tracy! read more

Love their food. Quick, kind and absolutely delicious! Try the chicken burrito, but the shrmp and carnitas are amazing too. read more

It's decent for a quick meal, on the go type of thing. Just not sure how clean they are inside preparing everything.

Tracy has plenty of solid taquerias. I considered La Costa as one of them until they raised their prices. They still pack their burrito, quesadilla, torta, and taco with plenty of well-marinated meat but that's about it. No chips, no salsa bar, no pickled jalapeños and carrots, no tripas, and no credit cards. Other taquerias offer these perks... read more

La Costa - Lg horchata and super burrito for only $8.50 - Mexican Near Me - Tracy, California

THE LOWDOWN: GOOD, CHEAP, DELICIOUS, FLAVORFUL MEXICAN FOOD! And they are FAST! What's not to like? FOOD: If you want to FEEL LIKE A BALLER, GET THE SHRIMP BURRITO! It's so delicious! FOR KIDS - The BEAN AND CHEESE BURRITO. It's a big size and very filling for them. About $3 We also like the CARNE ASADA TACOS! The meat is marinated and is yummy. Chicken tacos are pretty good, too, though I prefer the steak. ASK FOR MORE LIMES and SALSA! Also, grab one of the BIG BOTTLES OF TAPATIO SAUCE on the tables, pour as you wish, and enjoy! TO-GO SERVICE: We frequented the Brentwood location quite often and we have been here several times at the Tracy location, too. Service was fast, quick and friendly. "What can I get for you, buddy?" COST: We ordered dinner to go - 6 tacos to share and a bean and cheese burrito, which cost about $10.55. RESULT: Check this place out and make your mouth and tummy happy. We will be back here again. read more

La Costa - Carne asada tacos and chicken tacos! Yummy, affordable deliciousness! - Mexican Near Me - Tracy, California

I used to love it here but I always have an issue with my order these days. I went in and ordered pastor tacos with no onions, I received asada tacos with not only no onion but no cilantro either. Super plain asada and a waste of $10 cause they went into the trash. It's too far to take back, and not worth it in my opinion. read more

Aye aye aye! Mucho authentico here! Ok that's as Mexican as I can get. But don't let the flies or the sketchy parking lot deter you, the food is crackin! I knew this spot was authentic by the condiments on the tables, who needs salt or pepper when you have huge bottles of ketchup and Tapatio sauce? My mom got a burrito and I got 5 tacos. Our check came to $8.50 for both, hella cheap! Probably the tastiest tacos I've had and trust me, I've had some good ones. Extra star points for not making my ass explode later that day/next morning. read more

Our go to spot when heading back home to LA area. I personally like their asada burritos and tacos. My husband likes the shrimp tacos! The people there are so sweet! read more

Great traditional Mexican fast food! Most people come here for their burritos but I've always loved their Quesadillas! They come with cheese, meat, lettuce, tomato and sour cream. It's big, it's messy, it's delicious. My favorite is the Carnitas Quesadilla. They have a decent selection here including Burritos, Quesadillas, Tacos, Tostadas & Tortas and various seafood items. Everything is sold a la carte. The prices have gone up over the years, but the food is still reasonably priced for what you get. All the food is good here but based on some bad reviews I've seen, I think some people come here with the wrong expectations. La Costa is currently one of the top rated Yelp food spots in Tracy and they deserve all the great ratings but I think people expect a sit down restaurant or a Taqueria. La Costa is more street food style - you order at a small window and the majority of the seating is outdoor. Come here with the right expectations and you will not be disappointed! Enjoy it for what it is! read more

I lived in Tracy 25 years and went to high school across the street from this amazing taco spot. In the est. 15 years this place has been open, it is one of my favorite spots and hasn't changed. Every time I go home to visit I have to stop here for their delicious tacos. Such a great deal at $1.50 a piece although I remember years ago when they were $1 and a burrito was $3. Those were the days! Highly recommend!!! read more

When I first moved to Tracy the burritos were 5$ and awesome. Now they are $8 and still solid. I guess that is inflation for you. All I ever get is the burritos so that is all I know. If you want a good burrito you really can't go wrong here. read more

I've been here before but this was my first time ordering something other then thee carne asada tacos. I tried a steak quesadilla && it was soooo good. I haven't been here in 13 years since I moved to Laos Angeles but I loved going to this place! It was my childhood coming home from north elementary school with my mom and going to eat here. In 1998, when I first came to Tracy, CA to visit my family that had moved from San Jose to Tracy - I was introduced to La Costa. I've long since left the Bay Area for my hometown of Seattle, but I still salavate thinking of La Costa's version of a carne asada! SO GOOD. Quick, cheap and the lime gives it a perfect touch. The rice is perfect with the cheese, sour cream, and salsa. DELISH. In 1999, it was $2.50. Last year, it was $3.50. You can't beat it! I haven't found a Mexican taqueria in Seattle that I love - yet! Next time I'm back in the Bay Area visiting family in Modesto/Tracy, I am coming back! read more

Never have liked the food there. Ate there once was not impressed at all. I like to make my homemade tacos.

Rice is SO good. Tacos are delicious. Horchata is okay. It is cash only so make sure to stop for cash first. They made my order super fast. Will definitely come back for tacos and rice! read more

The shrimp burritos here are killer and you can't go wrong with asada either. This small take out / eat in corner Mexican restaurant has just about everything you could ever want and then some. Eating outside is fun when there isn't a lot of traffic billowing exhaust fumes in your face. Other than that LA Costa is a great place for Mexican food in Tracy read more

What can I say, classic taco stop in Tracy for fast authentic Mexican food. They have anything you could ever want. Unfortunately it's outdoor dining only but that's half the fun of visiting this place. read more

I know that there's not a whole lot of fine dining in Tracy, but this place is a hidden gem of Tracy. As most "hole in the wall joynts" La Costa has the best traditional Mexican fast food in Tracy. It's a walk up to the window, cash only with mariachi music blastin' over the loud speaker type of place. You place your order at the window, pay with cash and within a few minutes (less than 5 min) you'll have a extremely good meal! They have the best burritos, mariscos, tacos and carnitas around, all for a great price! They have a small inside and outside eating area, but it's the type of place that you just hang outside and eat and enoy the central valley sun! It's truly a fast food joynt.... read more

nothing like a real hometown feel place to eat! This restaurant has 2 locations in Tracy. The one off of 11th St. is the one I mainly hit up. Been coming here for years!... It may look small from the outside but its what's happening inside is what really matters :) The food here is as close to authentic as you get. My bf&i usually share a burrito because they are just took big for me to finish. The carne asada burrito is of course the thing to order! It's a bit messy but its usually the food that are messy which are the tastiest ! If your in the area, and are in the mood for some delicious mexican food, the ullltimate place to come to is La Costa, you also can't beat the price!-verrry reasonable! read more

The Shrimp tacos, Asada tacos & the Asada torta are the stars here. My lady swears by their asada tortas and the tacos with extra cheese onions and cilantro o-yeah they on hit.
