My family loves this place. They have other locations but the one on 11th street is by far the best. The Mexican food is delicious. I usually order the burrito and it is big enough to share. We recently moved to the area and La Costa was recommended to try. On moving day we decided to feed the friends and family helping us so we called them and ordered a large order of meat and fixings for tacos. They were quick to cook up the food and it was delicious. We've tried a few times for just my family and everything is tasty! Horchata is also good. "Everything" on your street tacos does include a slightly spicy red sauce so perhaps ask for it on the side if you're not sure. Decided for our housewarming we would order from here as well. They were able to accommodate the 13 platters of meat and 3 of rice with no worries. The food was fantastic and everyone who came raved about their carnitas. We love this restaurant and look forward to eating here often over the years to come. Cash only (even more such a large order, so be prepared). They do offer a couple tables inside but it is mostly outdoor seating. A little loud with the music playing over the radio but since it's open air environment, it's acceptable. read more

I will give two stars since their tortillas are so authentic and delicious. That is about all I can say that is good about La Costa. Every time I have ordered here has been a disaster. I have a strong dislike for onions, even if its mixed in with meat, so I always tell them no onions, no whatever, and of course they put it in anyway. They also always have random meats mixed in, even in the vegetarian burritos, we have found meat. Like c'mon. They are so greasy, it is not even enjoyable. Like insanely greasy, it's gross. What's not to like about $1 tacos and $7 shrimp cocktails? Shrimp Cocktail information: As delivered, these are sort of a shrimp gazpacho. The ketchup and hot sauce on the tables (or in the take-out bag) are so you can doctor it up. No, adding ketchup isn't gross. Really. Allows you to control the tomato content of your cocktail. I am not sure how they make a profit putting so many shrimp into a $7 dish. Easily one of my favorite places to eat in Tracy. Best cheap meal, too. I tend to be picky about my Mexican as I'm from Arizona. Decided to order basics saw their tacos and prices and correctly assumed when served they'd be street tacos, ordered 4 ($6) so I could try the pollo and pastor. Both looked and tasted as they should, came with lime as they should. I ordered avocado, they put big chunks on each of the tacos. Horchata tastes as it should, won't say its the best I've had but nothing to complain about either. All said will definitely be a place to go when I'm missing home. Went back a second time and tried the carnitas and asada. Was disappointed when I decided to order them with cheese. Not because of the amount (they put on much more than I would) but because I was hoping for a crumbly cheese such as goat, panela, or Cotija. This little taco stand is quickly becoming one of my favorite places to eat around town. I have only been here 3 times now but have absolutely loved it everytime. The first time I came I got the Asada burrito and was blown away by how good it was. It's a big burrito to so you won't go hungry. OH AND HERE'S WHAT IMPRESSED ME THE MOST ABOUT THIS PLACE. I ordered my burrito on my first visit and handed the very nice guy my card to pay, to wich he replied I'm sorry sir it's CASH only as he pointed to the large super obvious sign clearly stating this. We'll I didn't have any cash (I'm married) on me so I told the man I'd run to the bank He said don't worry about it, just pay for it next time. In this day in age he trusted me to come back and pay based on the honor system. This impressed me. So on my second trip I paid for my first burrito and ordered the carnitas burrito. I think it's the best one. Third trip I stuck with carnitas. Seating is outside but it's covered. If it's hot outside I'd probably get it to go. The staff is super friendly, and they have a large menu. It's located across from the high school so if you don't time it right you could end up in a huge line. Try to come before school is out and when they aren't on lunch break. I highly recommend this place. They only places I like better were down in Colima Mexico during my vacation. read more

Amazing food. By far the best Mexican food in Tracy. Very cheap prices, burrito is only $6 and a huge side of rice and beans is also $6. Our family of 4 can share one large side of rice and beans. The chicken burrito is a bit too spicy for me but my husband loves it. I prefer the mini tacos for $1.50, the tortillas are so good. The sour cream they use is so good, you must add it to your burrito or tacos. This location is very busy and the parking lot is usually full. read more

Since grantline la costa hasn't been the best I decided to give this place a try again. Ordered asada super burrito no onions and pastor & shrimp super burrito no onions. When food came out we checked it because we have had problems at other la costa messing up our order. Glad we checked because it was all backwards. So gave back to them to fix. Asada then came out perfect but there was no pastor on the pastor & shrimp. So after We let them know again they were Perfect. Flavor was great & there was a great amount of meat. Whenever I am in Tracy I have to stop by here. Just a simple place at an excellent price. A HUGE burito with meat, bean, cheese, rice, sour cream and salsa for $3.50. My goodness, half way through and I am full and it still tastes good later on. The tacos are soft taco and are $1 each. Sweet! No tax either but they only take cash. I am going to give this joint three stars. Though the price is good the food was just ok. I prefer the location off of grant line. My issue, after ordering three tacos and a carne asada burrito, I found melted plastic in one of my carnitas tacos. Unacceptable. Too lazy to go back I just tossed that taco out and checked the other food items (which were ok). This is my second attempt to this locations. The first time, the wait was far to long so I left. This is boat galore station, and everyone makes a quick stop here, gets their food and off to the water you go. I came here Memorial day to pick up some yummy food, and left with the small ceviche. Recetly, I've been ordering Bean Tostada a lot. Chicken Quesadilla looks like burrito but it's good~ I tried Shrimp, Beef & Chicken Tostada - all yummy! Shrimp Tostada's different though. Starving, yelping for food on my Blackberry (woo Yelp Mobile!) on the way back from Yosemite and we stumbled across this place. 2.1 miles out of the way but the reviews had me curious. I'm so glad we stopped here. Carne Asada (Super) Burrito - creamy, HOT and stuffed with a perfect portion of meat, cheese, sour cream, beans and veggies. Wasn't expecting this creamy factor but I suppose things melt when the burrito is actually warm instead of most places where everything's room temperature. It's a MUST order here! Muy excellente! Bomb tortas at this place. Got al pastor which was quite tasty. The tostada mixta was also delicious. Wouldn't have hurt to have a little more octopi, but the crabs were especially enjoyable. Oh, and the agua jamaica was awesome too, and not too sweet like most other places. I didn't think the food at this place was going to be that great just looking at the old-fashioned style of the place, but man oh man was I wrong. It was so delicious and satisfying for the price you pay. We came here after my Uncle passed away because this was his favorite Mexican spot in Tracy and he definitely had good taste because the food was great and made to meet your needs. We ordered a lot of food and they prepared all of it within 15 minutes. An added bonus is that they are so reasonably priced and the amount of food you get is perfect! I would recommend adding some more spice or flavor to your meal if you'd like to add more of a kick as well as guac and salsa! read more

These guys got the best mariscos And their Carne asada Was so moist and tender easy to chew soft as silk I was so impressed because you know every Mexican restaurant or "authentic"taco place that claim that...they all have dry Carne Asada! Not these guys at least when I went there!,I was so impressed I could not believe it it was so tender and they serve fresh seafood mariscos Octopus I don't know what they do but it's so easy to chew and eat it's very good there ceviche is incredible and the prices are excellent! Can also get your super burrito and other various Mexican favorites but they do have a very good fresh fish menu and they are good thank you guys read more
