8 street tacos - carnitas and adobada

First time going there for Taco Tuesday - street tacos for $2.05 each. We bought 8; 4 carnitas and 4 adobada. Good quantity of meat, great taste, and great pico and other included add-ons. Two thumbs up for the food, price, and service!

Quesadilla con birria

In short A bustling little taco shop making every square inch work in a small space toward the back of a strip mall. In long This is a big, busy 6-lane road with strip mall after strip mall, divided evenly between several meaningless chain franchises and some cool independent businesses. I think these folks have another location or two but it definitely feels 100% local. Parking is almost always a snap right through here--they put the big lots around these big strip malls. I strolled in well after lunch rush this afternoon and there were still multiple tables occupied. I was the only person speaking English, unless someone was speaking to me. It's been said a frillion times, but that's a nice subtle hint that the food might be pretty interesting. There are 3 booths, 4 tables, a chair rail, and a couple windows. In back there's a big pictorial menu monitor and a list of proteins (available in any dish). There's a big plancha behind the counter, spatulas slapping it steadily, making the whole place smell incredible. I got the quesadilla plate with birria, which was excellent. Rice was kinda chewy, beans were a little runny. Grilled onions on top, fried jalapeno spear alongside. I'd take like half a dozen of these jalaps--good stuff. The birria was nicely flavored, not too soggy, still a little chew to it (not just soft mush by any means). Toasty tortilla around it. Both the red and the green salsas had tons of flavor, with good smoky heat showing through in the red. Everybody here was friendly, you pay contact-free with any card, and prices were fair. They offer online ordering for to go, and I gotta say, if it's near lunch or dinner time, it might be packed. That would be a smart way to go. Good, cheap food in a clean, friendly environment doesn't stay secret for long.

$32 are you kidding me. I would pay $55 and think that was cheep

SP 3 TACOS PLATE with Rice and Beans

If you're in Everett and you need a little sit-down place where they sling some of the best authentic tasting tacos with only a 5 minute wait, this is the spot. I'm Hispanic and grew up in Chula Vista, San Diego, so I have a decent insight in flavor expectation: this hit every check for me outside of not cooking in sandals. I ordered pollo (start safe, work my way up to daring). I won't lie, after the first bite I didn't hide my excitement at how delicious it tasted. Chicken was juicy, flavorful, great heaping of toppings, well cooked. It's hard to screw up beans and rice but it's been known to happen (pitiful), however the sides were just as tasty! Hot sauces complimented the dish perfectly. Great little restaurant, highly recommended!

Cabeza, tripas, y adobada tacos

First place I think of when I want tacos. I used to live nearby, but now I drive over 20 mins for their tacos. Authentic street taco packed with flavor, each protein cooked to perfection, tortilla that has texture, very filling (no skimping), and great service. I always get their cabeza or tripas because 1. They really do make THE BEST cabeza that is in chunks with an even ratio of fat. So gelatinous and meaty. 2. Their tripas are so crispy and the taco shell always hold up the filling. I hate a soggy tortilla that falls apart, but the way they cook it is chefs kiss. Consistent service and quality. Tacos come in hot when you dine in and just as great when doing takeout. This is the #1 place for cabeza. All their other proteins are also exceptional. Their adobada has great flavor spice (wish it came with pineapple) and it can be a little bit greasy. Their tripas are super crispy and clean (no mineral or biter taste). Their birria meat is flavorful and juicy. Writing this review is making me salivating, I will def. be back soon haha

Taco Tuesday, carnitas and adobada.

I come here for taco Tuesday almost every Tuesday. Best $2 Pollo, adobado, and carnitas tacos in the county. The carnitas are my favorite.

Steak quesadilla plate with salad substituted ,, Chicken taco plate with sale substitute . Red & green sauce .

I spontaneously stopped by this restaurant this afternoon . I ordered a chicken taco plate . I don't eat any pork products & they don't have whole beans made without lard , so they offered to substitute with salad for me. My partner ordered a steak quesadilla plate with salad substituted instead of beans . The food was good & had a nice presentation . The restaurant looked clean & the staff was polite & helpful . I recommend this place !

They actually pan fry the carnitas before placing onto the corn tortillas. And the beans are to die for!

In short Clean, bright, friendly family-style Mexican place…read more Full bar, plenty of TVs. In long I definitely miss the awesome Thai place that used to be here, but Luna offsets that nostalgia. They're doing a great job. There's a cool courtyard, with iron fencing and gating that seems to suit the Mexican decor even better than it did the previous tenant. There's a good-sized winding dining room indoors too. Brightly-colored paint, nice matching tables and chairs, some big screens probably tuned to the game. Service is right on point, cheerful and low-key, ready to make you feel right at home. You get a menu right away, water with chips and salsa in a minute or two. The drink menu isn't the main focus, but you get basic versions of most anything. I had a Luna Margarita with lots of fresh fruit in there--even had to clear the straw at one point. The chips and salsa are generic. Just pico and tomato sauce stirred up. Would be nice to see them make something in house, but not too many places do that (fewer than you might think). The carne seems to be the star of the show, and it was tasty. Ordered medium and came out closer to well, but still fully tender and juicy. Tortillas were fine, the roast corn and scallions were good, and the rice and beans held up their end of the bargain. Little bit of guac and fresca in the middle of the plate. They're working hard for your Mexican food dollar, and if you're anywhere nearby, they're easily worth a stop.

She took us to the back which featured a bar area and twinkling lights on the ceiling! Loved the plants and decors on the wall. Our server was so attentive and kind! Me and my girl friend's husband ordered the Mar Y Tierra, thinly cut steak with garlic shrimp and mushrooms on the slide with rice, refried beans, guacamole, pico de gallo and choice of corn or flour tortillas! The steak was my favorite -- so juicy, tender and flavorful! They have a great variety of drinks! I got the watermelon basil margarita. They also have Jarritos soda which, my girl friend tried the guava and it was good! You have to get here before peak or you may not get a parking spot. They do have parking at the back but I bet if it's a peak night, it'll be crowded. We will definitely be back next time!

Ordered Cadillac margaritas which came out quickly, not very strong, good flavor overall (not too sweet). Chips and salsa were good, guacamole could use more lime. Shared a chile relleno which was standard. Daughter ordered pollo a la crema which was not overly creamy, chicken was tender. Sister got albondigas (meatball soup), broth had a nice roasted corn base. I ordered their menudo which came with tender (clean tasting) intestines, and one pata (foot). I added some of their chili oil which was smoky and balanced. Tried their other salsitas which were also good, habanero had good heat and pineapple had a nice touch of sweetness.

In short The name helps a lot--it really is a family place,…read morelots of booths and tables packed into one dining room. But the kitchen is doing a ton of great things from scratch and the menu is huge. It's way more than just a corner Mexican spot. In long The ratings have been high forever and we've been wanting to try it for at least a year. Finally found ourselves with the right amount of time in the right location yesterday. We caught them after the lunch rush, and dude was super nice to come out and hold the door so I could wheel my bride in. There are a few flatscreens up, and in back there are single-occupant washrooms. It's not a big room, but it's festive and they clearly have regulars, judging by the warm greetings are a couple more tables filled up. We had our pick of tables and we settled in to go over the hugely long menus. Do you want something familiar or something fewer places offer? The kitchen runs the gamut here. You get fresh, light chips on the table with some delicious scratch salsa that even packs a bit of heat. We finally settled on pozole and tacos al carbon. They bring out avocado salsa and pineapple salsa, which both add a ton of good flavor. The red table salsa is where the heat is, though. The tacos were delicious, tons of juicy chopped steak inside. I went with this overly-safe pick and didn't regret it at all. The pozole was incredible, lots of real bone stewed in with the meat, tons of great flavor in the broth and super soft, tender, flavorful pork. Lots of tasty condiments. Beautifully homey and comforting soup to warm your bones on a cold wet day. We took more than half of it home--very generous portion. We also checked out a margarita and a mai tai, and both were excellent. You really have to try the food here to get the full effect of how good it is. You can kinda tell the kitchen is ambitious by reading the menu online, and that's promising for sure. But all those house-made scratch touched throughout every subrecipe will exceed even high expectations like ours. Great place, and we're dumb for taking so long to try it.
