Lots of inside seating with an optional covered patio. The espresso (unknown blend) and the tuna melt were made quickly. The pressed sandwich tasted excellent and was cut into two big angled halves (for visual effect). The white cheese was lightly melted but would have enjoyed a gooey drip. The gender assigned bathroom was clean but in need of basic upgrading to blend better with the dining room. All the parking spaces in front of the business were pay to park only and we were ordering something to take home so I waiting in my car in the delivery zone space while my husband went inside to get his coffee and a tuna melt that we will split. The sandwich was very big similar to a Cuban Sandwich pressed style. The tuna had a mushy texture but tasted great with the melted cheese and came with a little bag of chips. I enjoyed my homemade lunch here. It was nice to get a bite near work that feels like home cooked food. I ordered the rotisserie chicken which half chicken and it was so tender and moist. For my sides I ordered the boiled yuca with some green sauce on it and sweet plantains. Everything was delicious and filling. This is my first time here. The food seems ok but not a favorite spot. I asked for no ranch on my chicken philly but they still put ranch. Also food tool about 20 minutes to be ready. So be aware of timing and its probably best bet to call in. Try the chicken philly with ranch dressing (ask for mayo or extra ranch - mine was a bit on the dry side) or the California Specialty - deli turkey (of avg. quality) with avocado spread, tomato, sprouts, and swiss cheese. Salads are their specialty & offered in many varieties, with or without protein (chicken, grilled fish), and are nicely presented in a large bowl or Styrofoam take out containers if you're picking up. There is also a section of the menu that boasts Mexican favorites like tacos, burritos, and pork meals; however I am always skeptical of the quality and freshness of the food from places that offer too much on the menu. The food is prepared in the front of the restaurant, so you can watch your plate being prepped by their team of cooks. The hot lunch selections are typically Cuban/Mexican cuisine. The lasagna is fantastic and extremely filling. If I decide to go for the hot lunch though, I typically go for the Chicken Teriyaki with plantains and wild rice; always a sweet and savory bet. If you are looking for a sandwich, the absolute best on their menu is the Chicken Milanese sandwich. Fried chicken breasts topped with garlic aioli, lettuce, and tomato. It's definitely their best sandwich, hands down. They have other typical choices too, like an Italian or Reuben. Facility is a little grungy looking, but overall good quality food. The staff can be a bit hostile during the lunch rush because of the sheer amount of people. Be prepared to stand in line if you go between 11:30a and 1:00p during the week.
