Needed to pick up lunch, so of course I came to Yelp to find a place nearby. I saw that the Fresh Box Cafe had numerous great reviews, and so I plugged the location into my GPS and headed there. The café is located in an office building. Had I driven around to the back, I would've seen the outdoor tables and signage. However, there was no signage at the front of the building or in the lobby area. Fortunately, woman pointed in the right direction. I would suggest that they put a little sign somewhere in the lobby. Upon entering the café , I received a warm welcome from the ladies behind the counter. They made some recommendations, and I was glad that I went with a tuna melt. As I'm not a fan of rye bread, I was glad that I chose to have it on ciabatta. The sandwich came with the choice of a bag of chips or fruit. There are plenty of tables inside, and the café is clean and inviting. I was there just before lunchtime so I can imagine this place gets quite busy. My sandwich was prepared to go and came out fairly quickly. I didn't eat it for another 40 minutes or so, but it held up quite well. The tuna fish was outstanding and paired with toasted bread and cheese was a winning match. I'd say this was probably one of the best tuna melts I've ever had. When in the area in the future, I will definitely stop in again. Glad I found this gem of a lunch place. read more

I have to start by giving major recognition to the owners (at least I believe they are the owners). I came to the cafe for a late lunch right after 2pm thinking that they were open until 3pm. Turns out they had already closed. Just as I was walking away, the kindest woman unlocked the door and insisted I come in and order! I was stunned. I am sure by that time she was ready to call it a day and head out but I so appreciated the thought as I had a brief time for lunch during a busy day and didn't have much time to leave the building complex. I took a quick look at the bakery items and menu and was salivating because everything looked and sounded great. Once I saw French toast, I knew it was a brekkie for lunch kind of day. Lol. They seriously have an impressively sized menu for a small cafe centered in an office building. I expected a few sandwiches and salad offerings. Once my French toast was ready, the staff was kind enough to insist I sit and eat inside but it was a pretty pleasant afternoon by Florida standards so I decided to take it outside. Made me a little more comfortable since they aren't masking in the establishment. A bit bummed about that but there is a good amount of outdoor seating available with umbrellas and trees for shade. This is my all-time favorite go-to for lunch, and sometimes breakfast, and sometimes a snack or a coffee I am lucky enough to work nearby, but the food would definitely be worth going out of the way for. Very welcoming, friendly and courteous staff. There was various healthy options on the menu. I was happy to see a salad bar, everything looked fresh and tasty. I ordered they're garden vegetable quinoa soup, it tasted delicious and home made. I also ordered a salad at the salad bar, delicious and fresh as well. The entire cafe looked clean and organized. Love, love this place!! Whenever I come up to Broward for work, I always stop in here for food. They have great fresh salads, soups and various sandwiches. They have pre-made salads and a salad bar where you tell them what you want and they fix it for you. You are charged by the pound and very inexpensive. Today I had a navy bean soup that was delicious! I'd never had navy beans before and really wanted soup but not the traditional chicken noodle. Lisa was so awesome and allowed me to sample it first. Not to mention, it's like she read my mind and asked if I'd like some rice with it! Winner!!! I ate the soup so fast that I didn't get a chance to take a picture. It so was good that I tried to go back and get more but they'd sold out. Bummer!!! I most certainly will be back here as I sometimes have to work out of our Broward office. This place is the best hidden spot for breakfast/lunch, it is on the corner of the building. The service was wonderful and I was greeted by the cashier with a genuine smile. I walked in right before the lunch rush and the chefs took care of it so easily, while being so kind. This cute place has indoor tables while also providing outside tables with umbrellas. What a nice hidden gem! I did not feel like having the usual lunch so what to do? look for options at my favorite app "Yelp" and as usual I was not disappointed because I found a nice cafe walking distances from my job and it has plenty of healthy options and not so healthy too! :)....I walked in and everyone greeted me from the person at the register to the person prepping. I get to the register and told them I was new and she again welcome me and explained the options; I had to try the salad bar and it did not disappointed. The place had a few people, yet everyone had a great sense of urgency so the small line disappeared really quickly. The price for the salad was also very good given the ingredients and freshness. As I was paying they had quite a selection of deserts so I walked out had my salad and had to come back, as I came back they had freshly made cookies for a great price too so I had to take some for my co-workers. Overall, I am so glad I used the app and was able to find such a nice cafe that includes welcoming staff, fresh and healthy ingredients at a descent price and close to work. I have to apologize because I have been coming here for years for breakfast since they opened in 2015, and I thought I had written I review. This wonderful establishment is owned by the Lisas. Yes! There are two of them. The Lisas and their crew know everyone's name and are so welcoming and friendly that you feel a part of their family every time you walk through the door. They only use the best ingredients and all the baked goods are made from scratch, and they taste better than your mom's cookies. They serve breakfast and lunch whenever you'd like. They are not open on the weekends so you have to come see them during the week. The ambiance is inclusive and anything but the average office cafeteria. It gives office building food a whole new standard. They have lunch specials every day except Friday but salads are 2 for 1 on fridays. Everything is made fresh that day. The two owners are named Lisa and Lisa and they were instantly friendly. They helped me understand their offers offered and gave me a suggestion.
