We arrive at 6:55 for our 7 pm reservation and there were already 50+ people (tourists) lined up to get in when they open at 7. The restaurant is huge so if you go early you could easily walk in, but the benefit of the reservation was having a prime table set aside on the edge of the open-air restaurant.

For dessert we had the flan which was served with a bit of manjar/dulce de leche on the side. The flan was fairly light and creamy & the manjar was very good. Before ordering dessert, we were advised by the server that they were out of the mote con huesillo -- in Chile they usually wait until after you order to tell you they don't have it, so this is really good service for Chile!! They offered a complimentary mint liqueur dessert which looked delicious (we saw them bringing it to other tables) but we passed on it. A complimentary drink is also rare in Chile & indicative of better than normal Chilean customer service! Great food, great service! I will definitely be back!

He stopped checking on us and we had to ask for the check (albeit typical in Chile) after quite a long wait. Please note this isn't a bad restaurant, it's just not consistently great for a 5 star hotel. There are many options for good dining in Santiago, this one is average for fine dining.

I started my meal with a mocktail. This was the BEST mocktail I've ever had in my life.
