What a meaty experience! Went there with family that lives in Santiago while we were visiting for a week. This place cooks a lot of meat and you better be hungry. We had the mixed plate for 2 and it was a chore to be finished by 4 adults and 3 children. Don't know how two people could put down this much meat. We had a mix of steak, pork, sausages, and pates. I was a bit disappointed with the steak. After having steak 2 weeks ago in Buenos Aires, I expected this meat to be more tender. It just wasn't. That said, the pork, sausages, and pates were very good. Use some chimichuri or salad to cut the meat. You need something to break down all that protein. The salads were good and we had a bottle of wine with the meal that helps with the heaviness. We ended the evening with their special sunday. Stacked very high with ice cream and topped with a ice cream cone. The whole thing is then dipped in ice cream. The chocolate is waxy, so don't expect amazing chocolate. Also, there is fruit in the cup underneath the 6 or so scoops of ice cream. So divvy up the ice cream so you can get to the fruit on bottom that pairs well with everything else.
This is definitely a place to go on an event. I see some locals in there, but I could only go once a year if I lived locally. That said, it was a great experience. read more
