La Comedia is dinner theater magic with a buffet that slaps. The spread had a little bit of everything, but let me save you some time: get the sweet potato bake. It's not just good--it's OMG, I need a moment good. The salad dressing? Think Thousand Island went on a tropical vacation and came back with a papaya chutney glow-up. It's fruity, tangy, and unforgettable. You can even buy a bottle for $7.00, and yes, I absolutely did. Coffee was black and bold, just how I like it--no frills, just fuel. Service was warm and attentive, even with a packed house. The whole experience felt like a cozy hug wrapped in musical theater and buffet bliss. Only complaint? The parking lot exit. It's like a puzzle designed by someone who hates joy. But once you've eaten, laughed, and snapped your way through Legally Blonde in pink outfits with your ride-or-die bestie, you're too blissed out to care.

I can't believe we have a dinner theater so close to home! This was a fun experience. The theater is quite large. I'm guessing it can hold a few hundred people. We were shown our table and there were delicious salads waiting for us with their homemade signature dressing. The tables are intimate with candles which create a lovely warm atmosphere. Dinner is served buffet style. I recommend they place hand sanitizer near the start of the buffet line. It's unusual to have a buffet where people can serve themselves. Most places have gone to having staff serve. The food was good. I enjoyed the roast beef, chicken & dumplings, green beans, and their signature cheese bread. Dessert was mini eclairs- I believe they had been frozen but still tasty. Water, tea and coffee are included so long as you order during meal time. We saw Ghost The Musical. The acting was solid. The sound system is very good - voices and music were crystal clear. They provided ASL interpreters at our show as well.

Buffet meal: corn, sweet potato, broccoli, homemade bread, ham, chicken masala, spaghetti, potatoes, etc.

When you arrive you walk straight in to the host who takes your name for your reservation. Another worker leads you to the table where your appetizer salads are available. The salad we had contained cantaloupe, sesame sticks, and their homemade papaya (I think) dressing. A waiter comes to the table to ask for drink orders. While our waiter was kind, he was slow to deliver/refill drinks. It looked like her was responsible for quite a few tables and couldn't keep up. The buffet opens at 6:15 and tables are called to go based on the order they arrived. The buffet offered a variety of vegetables- broccoli, corn, cauliflower, starches - potatoes, (very) sweet potatoes, homemade bread, meats - ham, chicken masala, and roast beef. They invite you for seconds once everyone is served once. The food was not bad, but it was nothing special either. For dessert (brought to your table), we were served brownies with a dollop of ice cream. Shortly after dessert the show begins! The show was great, though we had some tables near us who were talking loudly throughout it. We went to the show during bad thunderstorms where the power went out in many areas. I think because of that, the plumbing was backed up at La Comedia causing toilets to overflow and the restroom lines to be long. Other than that it is a nice dinner theater!

We came here for Valentines Day and we've been here before but it's been a while. The play this time was Nunsense. Here's a summary of our evening: It's slow. Expect it to take the entire evening. I scored it a 3 because of this. Arrive early. There will be a line of people waiting to be seated. You simply give your name to the person at the podium and your led to your seat. Salads came out first. A small but nice mix of sprouts, lettuce , cantaloupe and dressing. Turkey- tender and has an interesting seasoning. Very good but the portion was small. (You are allowed seconds.) Roast beef - chewy & hard to cut. Portion was small. White fish - tasted great. Nice. Sweet potato soufflé - good but very sweet Carrots - just carrots. Desert - apple cobbler with vanilla ice cream. A nice touch. Service is slow, expect to wait. And our table was missed repeatedly for service, tea, water, desert. The play was good, not Broadway in NY but good just the same. The music and singing were a cut above what I expected. Especially given the price!

We invited friends to see Grumpy Old Men. The show was spectacular. The food was great and overall we had a great experience.

I did not enjoy the particular show I choose to go and see. The food had no seasoning and wasn't very good for $75

This is one of the best local theatres in the Columbus area. My son and I started coming here…read moreregularly several years ago after we were blown away by their production of The Addams Family Musical. Prior to the performance, I had asked several locals about the theatre and was simply told that it was small, hence the name. Thank you, Captain Obvious. So, with not much to go on, my expectations were pretty low. Even so, the ticketing system for this theatre is ridiculously antiquated. To reserve a seat, you have to leave a message on their answering machine. Make sure you have lots of time on your hands when doing so because you will have to sit through a greeting that goes on forever with no way to bypass it. If there is a way, please let me know how. The message will ask you to leave your information and that your call will ONLY be returned if there is a problem with your reservation. I am the type of person who wants confirmation of my reservation. Because this theatre is a good 45 minute drive from my house, I want to feel confident that my reservation is in good order. Not surprisingly, since coming here my reservations have been botched twice. Once, I left my message several days in advance, but It was never received. Last week, my message was received, but my seats were given away to someone else who also (supposedly) had my (very uncommon) last name. Highly unlikely, in my opinion. In both instances, we were accommodated with seats, but I would have been upset had we been turned away. Aside from that hassle, we adore this theatre. Yes it is small and seats less than 100, BUT the productions are spectacular! I was amazed at how much they could do on such a small stage. Choreographed dance numbers, intricate sets, top notch voices and reasonable ticket/concession prices make this historic theatre an absolute treasure in Grove City. I have not seen a bad production yet and I highly recommend the musicals. Tons and tons of talent and not a bad seat in the house!
