Easter Sunday 2026

We had just finished a coffee drink at 10 Speed coffee just down the path. While riding our bicycles along the trail we spotted a sign outside of this coffee house - New Strawberry Matcha. Our curiosity made us pull over wanting to try it. Coffee drinks are getting pricey at these fancy coffee houses. We asked for it to be iced and with a coffee pour over. The drink was unique and the taste got sweeter towards the bottom.

As mentioned in a few of my other reviews, my friends and I did a coffee crawl of sorts, cycling along the LA River Path and stopped at many of the coffee shops. La Colombe was actually the first stop of the day and a perfect one to kick things off. Of courseee I ordered a hot matcha and while it wasn't my favorite of our five stops of the day, it was still a nice mellow start. The air conditioning was very welcome before we hit the hotter stretches of the day and the ride. La Colombe was spacious, clean, and very "La Colombe" in aesthetic - modern and yet a little minimal. Solid matcha, solid experience, solid services and prices, and a great place to start a caffeine-fueled bike tour. Give it a try!

One of my favorite places to come to after a nice, refreshing morning run. Its definitely convenient having a coffee shop, let alone a coffee roaster on a walking trail. The outside has a couple of chairs, benches and tables while the inside has the counter as well as additional seating. I love the cold brew here, especially the cold brew latte that comes out of their taps. The baristas are also friendly, even on a Saturday morning with the line out the door. Been a happy customer since the beginning of this year and I don't intend to stop now!

Awesome coffee. Seating for adults and children. Plenty of indoor and outdoor space and adjacent to the LA River path. Prices are steep $5.25 for a Capp and $6 for the draft latte but quality is there.

This used to be my neighborhood coffee shop, and I miss it so much! It's perfectly located right off the bike trail, so there's always a great vibe with bikers, doggos, and friends hanging out and catching up. One of my favorite perks was grabbing a bag of their beans--it even came with a free cold brew! Such a great spot with awesome energy.

Vanilla latte

Pretty empty with lots of street parking at 645AM on a Saturday. We got a vanilla latte and an americano. Both are pretty solid. Service was quick and efficient! Would definitely come back for another quick coffee stop but wish they had a bit more variety in their coffee options. The vanilla latte just tastes like a watered down espresso to me (sweetened) but still gets the job done!

Latte - small but potent

Taking a brisk walk along the LA River I found this haven on the path! A locals' gem La Colombe serves up the perfect brew or tea to rest and regenerate. With ample spaces to sit you'll find the open concept inviting.

Used to love their can lattes. Can be found at grocery stores and Target. It used to be small, but tasty. Probably the best can latte out there (especially the Triple Draft Latte). However, ever since they change their packaging, I feel like they've changed the formula/recipe. It's a bigger can, but it doesn't taste the same nor as good as it used to. So happy to find a brick n mortar store. Freshly made coffee is good. BF's Iced Vanilla Latte was really good. We're both satisfied with it. My Iced Mocha tasted kinda light despite it looking like the drink would be mocha flavor heavy. Limited seating inside. Large outdoor patio seating. It's off the bike path along the LA River. Probably why they chose to open here. Convenient for the cyclists to stop and grab a coffee/do a short or quick coffee break. DRINKS: Iced Latte w/ Vanilla add-on 5/5 Bf is very pleased with his drink. I think it's pretty good too. Would order again Iced Mocha 4/5 Fairly good/decent. Bf think it's not mocha-y enough. It does taste lighter than it looks. I still like it tho. Good enough.

I met up with a friend to check out the Frogtown flea market along the LA River and after a long stroll, it calls for some coffee! I ordered the pumpkin spice latte with oat milk. The expresso wasn't too strong and I wished it was a bit stronger. That place was popping on a Saturday afternoon with some bicyclist stopping by for a drink too!

My review is specifically for a TGTG order, but I had a great experience this afternoon at La Colombe. The cafe is at the end of a cul-de-sac, and it sits against the LA River bike trail. This would be an excellent stop along the route, for the more athletic among us. The cashier was incredibly friendly & seemed genuinely interested in picking out items that I would eat/enjoy. The pistachio croissant was DELICIOUS -- highly recommend! I will definitely be back for a latte when I have time to enjoy the patio.

One of my favorite coffee shops! Love the coffee, the vibe and location. I've tried their oat nogg half tan latte which was a little bland this time around. I could barely taste the coffee but overall still good.

Cute coffee shop with patio seating and quick service. Nearby path lets you take your coffee for a walk. Love the vibe in this area, the LA river walk and bike path are adjacent. Very cute vibe on the weekends.

I've never been disappointed with their coffee at La Colombe in Frogtown. They also have a decent selection of sweet treats too.

DON'T COME HERE. Snobby staff and snobby company. The people were not nice and the coffee was less than average.

What makes this place stand out is Joe Han, the U.S. Brewers Cup semi-finalist. You can really see the care he puts into each drink, and he personally brings your order to your table. Tried three drinks: -A Goose's Dream - light, citrusy, and really refreshing. -Freddo - creamy and bold, slightly heavy on the vanilla syrup but still balanced. -Moim Matcha - high-quality matcha, smooth and clean with just the right amount of sweetness. I wanted to try the sem-final coffee, but it was difficult to pay the $20 price tag. Maybe next time. I'd come back to support a place like this.

The cafe, with its unassuming facade, is a hidden gem nestled on the outskirts of the Arts District. It offers a comforting escape from the bustling city. I ordered their signature Cortado with whole milk. The rich, creamy texture of the whole milk perfectly complemented the robust flavor of the coffee, making it an ideal choice for a cold morning. The cafe has two floors and plenty of seating. I love that they play classical music softly, adding life to the space. They are cashless. Free street and paid parking are both available around the area. I parked on 6th St. and just walked less than a block.

I'm also not sure if Wynd is part of it as well (they were located on Virgil but moved elsewhere in the Arts District), but I did notice there was some sort of pop-up happening here too. I really love the location it's in, it's sort of hidden, and you might actually miss it if you're not looking for it. You park in the lot adjacent to it, and there's a sign that leads you to walk in. It really does feel like an oasis, like some people have described, tucked away from everything. Anyways, the coffee is amazing. The attention to detail these coffee shops put into everything is the cherry on top of it all. I'm a simple gal with my iced lattes with whole milk and no sweetener, and this place just knows how to get the ratio right, smooth, balanced, and not overpowering at all. Aside from it all, this location is definitely promising and I can see a lot of other businesses flourishing here. The vibe is so Zen.

The shop and coffee area have separate entrances, and drinks aren't allowed inside the store. There's a cart/rack near the entrance where you can leave your drinks while you shop, which is convenient. I've been looking for a matcha bowl for a while and came across one from Origami. It was labeled $26, which seemed like a great deal given the quality. Unfortunately, at checkout, the staff told me it had been mislabeled and was actually $45, and they couldn't honor the marked price. I understand mistakes happen, and I did overhear them saying it was someone else's error--they weren't sure how the $26 tag ended up there. It sounded like that price might have been the original Japanese yen price without markup. I guess it really was too good to be true. Still, it was a bit disappointing since I was excited to find it at that price in the U.S. Make sure you are charged the correct price during checkout in case they made the same mistake on other products and you get charged more than what you expect. Other than that, the staff was friendly. The coffee was decent, and the seating area had a really nice vibe. I would recommend this place if you are in the area and wanted to enjoy coffee without parking hassle. It's not exceptionally good coffee but it's still decent.
