The Chilaquiles was very good! We tried 6 different tacos, all of which were also very good. Some highlights being the barbacoa and carnitas. And the real star of the show was the barria tacos. I will be back just for those! It was a little warm inside, but they had fans going. See you again real soon!

But of course I can't just do the Al pastor I had to try the barbacoa and chorizo. The Al pastor tacos weren't the juiciest or most flavorful but they were packed to the gills and with some lime and salsa they were pretty good. But nothing, and I mean NOTHING could've prepared me for how delicious those barbacoa tacos were. I was recently in Mexico and that was one of the best taco experiences I've ever had. This taco tasted exactly the same. I will definitely be back for that $2.75 Barbacoa taco, I'm still thinking about it.

Since El Pelicano is across the street from my new house, it was the natural first place to start. You can tell by the pictures that they have a lively dining area complete with club lights, tropical plants on the walls, and beachy murals. Definitely reminded me of a beach club or resort vacation in Florida or Cancun. LOTS of TVs blasting "El Gran Charro de Huentitán" performances and a live mariachi group performed around 6pm or so. My Tacos de Pescado Estilo Ensenada was very generous and delicious. The fish was a little plain; I was hoping for more spice. The salsa had a nice kick though. I usually forget to check in and take pics because I'm so excited to stuff food in my cakehole, but I remembered this time! So glad I did because they have a check-in Yelp offer for a free margarita that you have to use during your visit. It was a full size marg and didn't taste like they skimped on the tequila. Our server was very sweet and did a good job as well. I can't wait to try more dishes and enjoy the entertainment!
