The waitstaff if mostly friendly but if you come in at like 2:45 when they're about to close, they'll be slightly less accommodating (understandably). For example, our waitress was trying to get us out the other day and didn't serve us our customary chips and salsa. Nothing major...just the little things. Anyway, there's a couple of other TexMex restaurants in the town that are decent, but I'm over the opinion that Los Alamos is the best of the group along the highway 90 corridor that cuts through the city.
