Love this place, very consistent and they aren't frugal with the sauces or the meat. 100% Halal meat and the costumer service is on point. Only issue is that it's kinda tucked away in the corner of a shopping center that you need to make a U turn to get too. Other than that though I think this place is gonna be around for a while. I was at a conference and looking for something quick to eat, and street tacos are always my jam. This place was a bit hard to find as it's in the back corner of a small strip mall. I had a steak burrito and a lengua taco and the lengua was sooo flavorful and juicy. In my eyes, the sign of a good street taco is when the meat is so flavorful that all you need is a little squeeze of lime, and this taco fit the bill! The burrito was also yummy and very filling with Spanish rice, beans, steak, and lettuce and tomato. I don't live in Illinois, but if you're in Schaumburg, stop by! read more

This is a cute little restaurant located in the corner of a strip mall, i almost missed it when looking for it as it was tucked away in the corner. This was our first time going and it was great! The burrito suizo was amazing! It was big I don't know how I managed to eat it all. I enjoyed the fact that it was cooked fresh right then and there. Beyond the food, the drinks were amazing! Pretty good spot. Discovered while driving around looking to eat something different than my usual lunch places. Service was great. Got 2 spicy chicken tacos, not too spicy but the red sauce on the side was nice and spicy. Just wish the chicken was more shredded. Over all good taste for a decent price. It's got a small menu, but it's got everything I ever order when I have a general craving for Mexican food. Since it was my first time, I went safe & basic with a taco dinner (2 asada, 1 al pastor). OMG Mexican street food heaven! I loved the al pastor, but the asada was definitely the best I've had in a long time. Because my colleague and I felt we were having a long day at work, we opted for some flan as well. Whenever I have flan, I get a very small sliver of a piece because I know how unhealthy it is. You get a pretty generous portion, which I was not able to finish. Service was great - the guy at the counter was very friendly, and not in that fake, customer-service way. He seemed like a nice guy, happy to share the amazing food they had to offer. I don't live that close to the place to make the drive other than when I'm getting off work or on my lunch hour, but I'm definitely coming back soon. read more

This place is the real deal. A little dive with all the Flavors of Guadalajara. Based on a recommendation from the owner (and main cook) I had a chile rellino that was outstanding. Great light batter with a chipotle sauce that was spicy but not over the top. They have fantastic small and thin corn tortillas. Finished with a fresh flan desert. I love finding these out of the way places when I travel, mostly due to you other Yelpers. Thanks so much. I'll come back to this find. read more

Unfortunately I just ate before coming here but I was just walking around and saw this joint in the corner of a strip mall and had to walk in. Immediately noticed how nice everyone was. Delicious! Family run business. Everything made fresh, in house. Salsa tastes rich with spices, not acid. Tilapia ceviche -YUM! Husband had 3 taco dinner - pastor, asada and chicken, his fav was pastor. Rice was fluffy and not overpowered by tomatoes. Iced tea brewed fresh, but no free refills. I walked in super excited to try there food and I spoke twice to the young Hispanic lady and she didn't speak didn't acknowledge me TWICE. I continued to give my order and she never said anything. I asked her a question about her sauce she walked away and worked on the computer. I would have been wrong to go off because it was given me racist energy so I walked out then she tried to say "you don't wanna order" as I walked away but she stood there for 4 minutes saying nothing after I gave her my order. Tacos fillings are bare minimum to qualify. The appetizer guacamole & chips came in a doll house size molcajete with a hefty price tag. With avacados going for $1 each at retail (as opposed to $2.50 as they were last summer), the guac price should come way down or the serving size doubled or tripled. They have a full bar, so I guess that may be a draw. No Diet Coke or Diet Pepsi the night we were there, so I guess that makes them authentic! read more

Best Mexican spot in the area. I usually go for the Al Pastor tacos. Posole pork soup is pretty decent. I went here nearly ever day for lunch. They have vegetarian options as well. Calling in ahead of time is always a good idea if you're in a rush. Anyway I loved coming here. read more

I ordered 2 tacos al pastor to go. The total was less than $5 and the waitress said there was a $10 minimum for using a debit card. I said I didn't want that much food and she went in back to talk with her boss. She came back out, looked at me sternly and said "Next time, must be $10" while frowning at me. The tacos themselves were a 5 on a scale of 1 to 10 with pieces of fat noticeably finding their way into my mouth. Pueblo Viejo in Mt. Prospect has much better al pastor tacos (a 10) and there is no minimum you have to spend. Skip this place: rude customer service and mediocre food. read more

Came here a week ago and thought it would be really good based off of pictures and reviews on here.. I was disappointed. I got 3 steak tacos and the meat had no flavor and was dry. My rice was really good though. My husband got a spicy chicken burrito and enjoyed that. Overall wasnt the worst, but do not plan to go back. read more

I tried this place for the first time today. It's right by where I live, but the sign was removed for some reason, so I didn't even know it was there until I was in that strip mall and walked right by it. It's pretty small inside, but clean. And the guy who took my order was really helpful and friendly. I got steak tacos with lettuce, tomato and cheese. It came with beans and rice. They gave me a green and a red salsa (he even warned me the red one was kind of spicy). The tacos were awesome. The steak was really tender/flavorful and everything was just really fresh and delicious. The salsas were awesome. The only complaint I have about the food is the guacamole. I ordered a side of it, and it was like 90% tomatos/onions and only 10% avocado. But I hardly ended up using it because of the AMAZING tacos/salsa/beans, so I would hate to take off more than 1 star. Editing: I've gone here a lot more times now, and it's become one of my favorite places to eat, so I need to give it the full 5 stars!!!! read more

Solid service. Amazingly, rich mole sauce. Great salsa. Can't wait to come back. We had the chicken with mole which was amazing. We found out that the sauce was the recipe of the mother of the family that owns the restaurant...we knew it would be legit and it was. The mole had a richer fuller flavor than ones I had had in the past, and the taste is amazing. The salsa was addicting. Service was really great. He answered all of our questions and was really friendly. Can't wait to come back and check out some more of their dishes. read more

I am sorry to have to write this, especially after reading so many good reviews. Went in today (1/18/2016) and the smell of incense was over-powering. When I go to a restaurant I want to smell the food cooking. If the incense was this strong I can't enjoy my own food OR I wonder what smell they are trying to cover up. Sorry.
