Birria tacos

I absolutely LOVE this place!! All of their dishes are so delicious and the birria tacos are my absolute favorite. Their tacos are so juicy, flavorful, and fresh! They are also halal which is amazing and I love coming here. The employees are super kind, quick, friendly, and humorous! The place is clean, limited seating options but their service is so quick, there is never a wait! Would definitely recommend!

A very unassuming place in a strip mall. Chips were very good but salsa seemed very thin and watery. Beverages including water came in cans / bottles. The presentation of all of our dishes was absolutely stunning! Two of us had steak enchiladas. I thought there was too much Verde sauce and it overwhelmed some very good steak. Rice and beans were surprisingly better than expected. One person had the steak tacos. She said they were about average. Would I go back? Maybe. Would it be my first choice for Mexican food? No.

I like the ambiance when you walk in and the music was chill. The food came out pretty fast after ordering. Staff was nice. I will be coming back, it was a good experience.

Food is always good here. Portions are pretty big and definitely filling. One of my favorite authentic restaurants. No alcohol is served here

You walk into a Mexican themed authentic vibe with latino music playing. The server greeted me at the door and sat me down right away. The owner came in to check in on me as well. The menu is filled with variations from tacos to burritos. I ordered two Birria tacos and one gyros taco with rice and beans. I also ordered the cafe con leche flan. I was happy to see my food come beautifully plated and appetizing. The rice and beans were authentic and were not over cooked. It had a slight seasoning but was good as a side dish. The Birria tacos were good, there was a nice cook on the tortilla, a good amount of beef and was not drenched in the consume. There was grilled cheese and onions and cilantro as well. All in all, it was a nice touch and taste was good. The meat was moist and well seasoned. The gyros taco was bomb; it had a mix of thin sliced gyros, avocado, sour cream and cilantro and onions. It was juicy meat and not too thick. Great quality cuts in the meats. I was greeted later by the owner as he asked about my experience. I told him about adding grilled chicken breast tacos to the menu and he decided to whip one taco up for me this way. The taco was phenomenal and was told they would add it to the menu soon. The grilled char and seasoning made for a great taste. Highly recommended! The chips and salsa were okay but the food was amazing nonetheless. The flan was plated nicely and had layers of moist flan with a coffee flavor. Overall, I had a great experience. They use quality meat and are 100% Zabiha Halal and have their certification sign as well.

Best Halal Mexican food I have tried in years. The Birria tacos just melt in your mouth. The chicken flautas absolutely delicious, great portion size for price. My husband loves the steak burrito! *Zabiha Halal* I live in Downtown Chicago and drive to Rolling Meadows almost every weekend for this

Cute place tucked into the corner of a strip mall. Lots of faux greenery and flowers. Very clean and casual, and the owner that waited on us was pleasant. The food was good - the chips were warm, the guacamole was really flavorful, and the quesabirria was delicious. The broth was hot and the quesadilla has a good amount of filling. The only cons are that the menu is pretty small, and there is a service charge for credit cards.

Yum yum yum!! My friend and I stopped by at La Charanga recently and the food is amazing! One of the better Mexican restaurants I've had in a while. The restaurant is clean, chill vibe, and great service! Highly recommend getting nachos and churros! I can't wait to be back and try more items off their menu!!

@thehealthinspector8 Caring family owned business. Authentic Mexican cuisine and now offering Halal meat to service the community needs.

Barbacoa

The food was absolutely delicious. The Barbacoa was really good. Nice Halal twist to Mexican food.

This is not arragera! The meat so big and tough!!

Taco meat was in chunks !!! So big and hard to eat !! arrachera meat is supposed to be soft skirt steak not blocks of charco !! And to top it off!! They were playing classical elevator music in A MEXICAN RESTAURANT!!

First time here and excited to try it

Great local Mexican joint in Rolling Meadows. The steak tacos and burrito were nice and juicy. Full of flavor! The taco dinner had corn tortillas and were wrapped beautifully so they don't get soggy when I get home. The beans are vegetarian so I don't have to worry about lard. The burrito was packed and juicy. Also massive and very filling! We also got a hot and mild salsa. The red salsa was hot and Smokey while the green salsa was mild and had a hint of lime. It's a very CLEAN place and the food was delicious. It's going to be a new regular Mexican spot for me now!

Over priced, not worth it. Not really the best service. Chicken was horrible!! the beef was ok but mixed with some old and new meat.

It's halal, super clean, and the staff? Genuinely some of the kindest and warmest people you'll meet. You can tell they really care about their space and their food -- gloves, masks, and great hospitality all around. The vibe inside is lowkey but elegant, great for a quiet night out or a new food experience with friends or family. The menu reflects a wide variety of authentic dishes -- some comforting, others bold and new depending on your palate. Pelmeni (dumplings): Very strong in flavor, not what I'm typically used to. The texture might take some getting used to -- I wasn't the biggest fan, but my friend loved it. Plov: So flavorful and hearty -- slightly on the greasy side but still really satisfying. Manty: If you're into juicy, steamed dumplings, this is the move. The spices are deep and warming. Honey Cake: Hands down one of my favorites. Soft, lightly sweet, and melts in your mouth -- definitely a must-try. If you're into exploring lesser-known cuisines or just want a meal that feels like a journey across cultures, Jannat is a beautiful stop. I was a little disappointed with the Dubai chocolate cheesecake this time though. It didn't even look the same as before, and the pistachio paste tasted less natural than I remembered. The service was good, everyone was friendly, and I'll definitely come back again.

The halal chicken Pho is delicious and packed with a generous amount of chicken, the shrimp pancake was delicious and the dipping sauce along side was perfect. The shrimp fried rice had larger pieces of shrimp and more than other places we've had it. The carryout ordering was super easy and our meal was packed nicely. I recommend the extra veggies and extra fried tofu as it is a really nice accompaniment to the chicken pho. The only small drawback is to be sure to order the pancake when you're dining in. The bottom gets soft when they pack it for carryout which can't be helped. It's still very delicious but prefer it there I'd still give it a 10!

The biggest letdown by far was the rice plate. For that price, I expected a decent portion and quality--but instead, I got 4 tiny pieces of beef short ribs that were almost entirely fat with barely any actual meat. It honestly felt more like eating pork belly than short ribs. It just felt like a total rip-off for what you get. I wouldn't recommend ordering that dish at all. The rest of the food was okay, but nothing that would make me want to come back, especially considering the price point. Service was slow. Had to ask for water refills. Restaurant is clean and spacious.

I ordered enough for two, which means I would have something for the next two meals. The restaurant has been around for a while, and it is a stand alone building. The menu, like what you will find in Malaysia - a mixed of Chinese, Malay, and Indian. The service is always prompt. Here's what I ordered: 1) Roti Canai served with Malaysian chicken curry - the curry is unlike Indian curry. This is a typical Malaysian style curry. You take a piece of the crispy yet a little chewy pan fried dough and dipped in this curry broth. That combination will kick off your appetite. 2) Seafood and Tofu clay pot - a mix of fish fillet, squid, shrimp, vegetables and homemade tofu served in a clay pot. The tofu is delicious - crispy outside with soft and silky center - chef's kiss! 3) String bean mixed with balacan - balacan is a Malaysian sambal sauce made with shrimp paste and chili. It has this savory, sweet and lightly spicy flavor mixed with crispy string beans. It was a delightful dinner!
