Burger (Downtown El Paso) 209 E Mills Ave, El Paso, TX…read more79901 TL;DR: About $14 for a full meal Try: The Basic Burger with jalapeños or chiles toreados Don't miss: The all-natural lemonade After the Meta announcement downtown today, I wandered over to Burger -- and wow, what a find! It was a little early, but the doors were open and that fresh-grilled smell was too tempting to ignore. The place is adorable inside -- think Bob's Burgers meets The Simpsons with a splash of minimalist charm. Bright, cheerful, clean, and simple -- it just feels happy when you walk in. The menu's simple too -- focused on doing the basics really well. Their Basic Burger is $8.88 because the owner says 8 is a lucky number The gentleman at the counter was so kind and patient, explaining everything and offering free drink refills. The combo -- burger, fries, and drink -- was about $14, and the portions were generous, especially the fries (I asked for extra crispy and they nailed it ). Everything here is made fresh in-house: * All-natural buns -- soft, buttery, and they don't fall apart * No frozen meat -- all fresh and cooked to order * Hand-sliced pickles with the perfect crunch * Fresh, all-natural lemonade with a tangy bite The burgers are square (yep, square!) with the corners cut off so every bite hits just right -- no more mouthfuls of only bread. And the toppings are very El Paso: jalapeños, pickled jalapeños, and you can even order chiles toreados as an add-on It's a smashburger-style setup, so you can single, double, or even quad-stack it if you're feeling brave. Overall, Burger keeps it simple -- fresh food, clean space, and good vibes. Nothing fancy, just really good food made right. My Take: Cute spot, friendly staff, generous portions, and everything's fresh -- no shortcuts. A new downtown gem that actually lives up to its name.

To be able to describe how happy I was to find Big Boy Concessions, I have to tell you a shortened…read moreversion of a longer story of my hunt for dry ice. When I arrived in El Paso, I had to look for dry ice. Now by the time I was able to get out of my hotel room to hunt around town, there were only a handful of stores open. I thought to myself, "No problem, Walmart will have it." It turns out that was not the case. They used to have it, say, 10 years ago, but that is no longer the case here in El Paso. So then I went to Sam's Club, Costco, Walgreens, CVS, Coldstone, Baskin Robbins, and a few other places through a google search without much luck. I even tried a find on google that took me 30 min outside of El Paso (pretty sure at that point I was in Juarez) to a place with an unlit road and an abandoned warehouse. There were cars outside parked with people in them but with the lights turned off. There was no dry ice there. Anyways, back to the review. Big Boy Concessions is probably the only place you'll find dry ice here in town. Luckily they have a lot of it. They also sell all the supplies people are looking for if they had an ice cream truck or trolley. They have party supplies as well including cotton candy that you can buy in bulk. The dry ice is kept in a big maroon bin that are generally hacked into smaller pieces but occasionally you will have the opportunity yourself to use the hammer and chisel to get additional pieces. From what I can tell, they constantly get additional shipments of dry ice so you can be sure that it'll be in stock for your dry ice needs! They are open through the weekend but on most days they close at 5pm. Parking is challenging but you won't be there that long. Nothing to write home about the inside as it is like a small makeshift distribution center for food supplies. Enjoyed greeting these folks every morning. Until next time!

This is regarding the horrible way you treat your employees. Yesterday was my 2nd time going to the store in a matter of weeks and the a/c wasn't working. Do not know if they never bothered to fix it or it continually breaks down. It is insanely hot inside, the young lady working in the front looked like she was dying. Or at the least severely dehydrated. It is beyond disgusting and disturbing; you should be ashamed of yourselves for having this poor girl working in those conditions. Especially in this El Paso heat, this is unsafe.

I was there because I couldn't sleep so I went for a drive lol but I totally recommend this place it's worth the hype and money if you ask me . First, my friend ordered a frappe and was never told that they were out of whipped cream. We only found out after the drink had already been made. He wanted a refund because the drink wasn't what he ordered, but the employee (Camilla) said she didn't know how to process a refund. Instead, she printed another receipt, seemingly as if she done a refund and expecting us not to notice that it was just another receipt. The Matcha and Taro drinks were also made with way too much milk and barely tasted like what we ordered. No one asked what type of milk we wanted, which was especially concerning because one person in our group is lactose intolerant. When we asked to have the full order refunded because none of us were happy with our drinks, she again said she didn't know how to issue a refund. We asked to speak with a manager, and she told us that she was the manager, which made the situation even more confusing. A manager should know how to handle a basic refund or at least know how to get assistance. What made the experience even more unprofessional was that after taking back the first drink, she drank it in front of us and then walked away. We also noticed what appeared to be a lot of cross-contamination while the drinks were being prepared, which was concerning, especially for anyone with allergies or dietary restrictions. Overall, the customer service, drink preparation, and handling of the refund situation were extremely disappointing. I would not recommend this location based on our experience.
