    Stuffed pepper cakes
    Amy K.

Very impressed with this place. It was my first time eating here. I would return. We visited this place when I was at the casino with my family. I ate with my 2 sisters and we each tried a bit of everything! Fresh bread was served for a starter. We also ordered the stuffed pepper cakes which were amazing! Highly recommended. The portion was small but just enough for a starter. The salad was good and it was HUGE. I could have just ate the salad! For dinner we tried a few different options- classic spaghetti and meatballs and chicken and broccoli Alfredo. Both were great! Overall, I recommend this place. Service was good. Reservations were encouraged.

    An amazing truffles dessert.

This place is a Gem. It was so refreshing to have dinner inside the hotel and REALLY enjoy it. This was our first time at the hotel and we did not feel like leaving for dinner so we chose La Cascata. It is interesting to see how they restaurant split between the Asian and Italian. There was plenty of room for both. After a very short wait, we were seated at a nice quiet table toward the back of the restaurant. There are no windows so all lighting was from fixtures and it was very impressive. I do not like dark restaurants where I can't see my food and I don't want to sit under a sunlamp either. They got it. We were greeted by our waitress within minutes and brought water and bread. Our bottle of wine was both delicious and reasonably priced. We shared a fired calamari appetizer and bruschetta both tasty and plentiful, and moved to our meal. I wanted simple this evening so I went with a pasta with meat sauce. It was really good, thick, rich-tasty, well seasoned sauce with the perfect amount of sausage mixed in. I was impressed. There was a an order of steak, well prepared and an order of scallops that were perfectly seared and served over a creamy risotto. All food was tasty, prepared well, plated well and portioned well. Overall, they clearly have a good formula for the public. The attention we received from our waitress was very impressive. Always checking and very non-intrusive. Water and wine glasses stayed filled. We did not order dessert but they Brough us truffles... It was all I needed with my coffee!!! They are really, really good. All was priced well and made for a good invite to come back. I definitely recommend this restaurant, even if your not staying at the casino.

When I first arrived at La Cascata, there were 5 employees around the host podium. Took them a few minutes to acknowledge the line of us waiting. My friend had made reservations and said just give them her name to go back to the table when I arrived. I gave them her name and reservation time and the lady was like "well I don't know so just go see if you can find her". I found this very strange that no one offered to walk back with me. I also found it strange to not be greeted immediately and with warmth. I found my friends and took my seat. I was never asked by a waitress if I wanted something to drink so I just had the water that was there and shared wine with my friends that they ordered by the bottles. Bread was passed around the table. It was good. It was soft and had a crispy crust. I ordered jumbo shrimp cocktail for an appetizer. It came out in decent time. It was ok. I liked the layout of the shrimp but I've had more flavorful shrimp and cocktail sauce. I ordered spaghetti and meatballs for dinner. This also came out in reasonable time. Same thing - it was ok. Nothing special. Nothing that made me feel like I need to come back there. Nobody at the table raved about there food. One person who ordered the chicken parm said it wasn't good and barely ate it. We ordered dessert. Again no one raved. I actually thought my cheesecake was very good and so were the berries. I'm not much of a dessert person but this was the best part of my meal. I tried the 17 layer chocolate raspberry cake that is apparently made fresh daily but I was not impressed. The Pinot Grigio was good and I took a bottle home. They will let you take a bottle home you just have to allow them to open it and then close it. I do like that their silverware is polished and it is a clean restaurant with ok ambience. All in all, I would go back if I was invited for a meal on someone else's dime but not on my own. I wouldn't suggest it or spend my own money there.

This was my first time trying out this restaurant because I really was not even aware it was there. The restaurant is split with the Asian restaurant which is strange but I think that is why people would miss it. The food was very good and very reasonably priced. We started with the stuffed pepper risotto balls for an appetizer and I would highly recommend these! Such good flavor! I also got a Cesar salad it had the perfect amount of dressing and was very big for a starter salad that I could have shared it. I got the chicken broccoli Alfredo for a main dish and again it was a large portion and a lot of chicken and veggies which most places usually skimp on. I also got to try the spaghetti and meatballs and I really liked both options. We had no room for dessert After all of that ! Overall I was very happy with the food but the service could have been better. I also wish they would serve dipping oil with the bread that first comes to the table and it would've been perfect.

    Meat and cheese board.

The service was exceptional. The food average. Expected more from La Cascata. The flatbread was more pizza like then a flatbread. The lobster ravoli was drenched in a thick clunky Alfredo sauce, unfortunate because it was not edible. The ravioli itself was tasty but couldn't get past the sauce. The lamb chops were acceptable. For the elegant atmosphere and great service I'll give it a three star.

Beautiful, beautiful restaurant with great atmosphere, soft music, amazing service by Juan our waiter. We started with Caesar salad and the bruschetta appetizers - Boyfriend's salad was very good. I liked the capers and strong hint of anchovies in the dressing (which he always has on the side). Bruschetta was not what I expected - I felt it was missing something, not much flavor - although the bread was super fresh and tomatoes perfectly ripe. As mains he had the Americana pizza (pepperoni) and I had the lamb, served with a citrusy risotto and rapini. I loved the lamb! Highly recommend. It was literally so tender that I didn't need the knife to cut it! We asked Juan how the cook made it that way - he wouldn't tell and said it was the kitchen's secret! It was delicious. Risotto was perfect too. I'm not a fan of rapini but it was well cooked and seasoned. Boyfriend regretted his choice a little, although he says his pizza was good - but after tasting my lamb, he was sorry he didn't choose a meat dish. I had a shot of Amaretto on ice and the cannolis for dessert. Delicious and obviously homemade. I was a bit put off that a bus boy pulled out our appetizer plates while we were still actively eating. Hint, if our forks are in our hand and we're bringing them to our mouth with food on it, we're not done yet :/ Not the first place this happens and a pet peeve of mine... but whatever. Also, the couple with 5 kids... 5 kids omg... maybe this wasn't the best restaurant choice for you if you are going to let the two small ones run wild around the dining room and almost hit a waiter with a tray of drinks... but this isn't the restaurant's fault. We will return! Worth it just for the amazing lamb, and a short 5 minute walk from the Doubletree hotel, if you are staying there!

But it has its own separate area that is more like a restaurant than being part of the food court. We had a coupon from our hotel so we decided to try them. We were so glad that we did! We had bruschetta as an appetizer. I ordered the beef rigatoni & hubby ordered the spaghetti with meatballs. For dessert we had tiramisu. The bruchetta had 6 slices of bread & we asked if half could be without cheese. The bread was a little too crispy for me & I felt there wasn't enough garlic. But otherwise it was really delicious. Hubby liked the level of crispyness. The beef rigatoni was perfectly done & a large portion. I couldn't finish it all, so I asked to have the rest wrapped up. Hubby was able to finish his spaghetti & meatballs. He said his main dish was very delicious. We had the tiramisu for dessert. That was also really good. Overall the food was great. Our waitstaff was a beautiful & friendly lady whose name I can't remember. She was very professional & friendly. The pacing of the food was perfect I thought. We got the bruschetta pretty quickly followed by our main dishes & then the dessert after we had decided on it. Vittorio's also has a takeout order desk on the side of the restaurant so you can go that route as well if you don't want the full restaurant experience. The decor of this place is nice. The floors were covered in carpet that has a gold design on it & a black background. The tables were covered in white tablecloths & the chairs were black wood. There are also booths at the back with gold coloured curtains. There's a big chandelier in the middle of the space with the bar on a side wall. Some of the walls are brick painted white with a grey wainscoting beneath. Classy look. Prices are more expensive here than the food court of course. Plus you will be charged the Niagara Falls Tourist tax. We had a coupon from our hotel which we used. But despite that I didn't think the bill was a crazy amount. It came to $117 including taxes. I'd rather pay a bit more for great food & great service so we didn't mind the price. I had my leftovers from Vittorio's for dinner & it still tasted good. I would definitely come here again next time I'm in Niagara Falls.

Granted, the restaurant is in the middle of the desolate town of Niagara Falls, NY (and I mean there's nothing around), but once you step into the restaurant, you know why they're still standing after 4 generations. It's like walking onto a set of Goodfellas so I knew right away that I wasn't going to be disappointed. Danielle, our server, is the granddaughter of the original owners. I believe her brother is the chef and they continue their grandparents legacy to this day. We ordered a caprese salad to start. Gnocchi with meatballs and Eggplant parm were the entrees both served with a simple (what I call Sunday) sauce. The food was impeccable!!! What I loved is that it was clean and fresh tasting. The eggplant was not overly breaded and fried - it was stacked like layers of lasagna. The gnocchi were perfect little potato pillows! Bravo to the family!! Your grandparents would be so proud!
