Fried ice cream is a must love the cereal coating on it. It definitely gave me sweet tooth vibes as I'm writing this. The churro and ice cream combo was great too. . The Mexicano plato is a new favorite. It has a little bit of everything. I love the Carne which is thin and flavorful. Comes with chicken taquito and is Crispy filled with shredded chicken. Love the Jalisco Style Enchilada which was simple and cheesy. The chili rellano was my favorite soft and cheesy gooey. . Queso Blanco dip with Chorizo was creamy good. Also the different salsas and habenero salsa was spicy flavorful. . The aguachille with green salsa was soooo good, I used it and dip everything with it. The spice level was so perfect but then eventually caught up to me. . Inside is big with a nice bar area, dining area, even have a party room that fits up to 80 people. Parking is in a nice shopping plaza. . Tacos with steak and chicken and bacon mixed together is wow and anything with bacon is a yesss. . Overall we had a great experience with mama. She loved the chips and salsa and tacos. When I have a happy mama I'm a happy boy. Hope this review helps. Thanks for reading. Have a yelptastic day.

A Hidden Gem La Cascada Family Mexican Restaurant is hands down one of the best Mexican restaurants in the region. The service was attentive, friendly, and fast. What truly sets La Cascada apart is the authenticity of their food. Every dish is bursting with bold, rich flavor. Their Fajitas and Fish Taco's are the bomb!! The tortillas are fresh, the salsas are perfectly seasoned, and the menu has a variety of traditional favorites and unique house specials that will keep us coming back. The restaurant itself is spotless, cozy, and welcoming--cleanliness is clearly a top priority, which only adds to the comfort of the dining experience. If you're a sports fan you can eat in the bar while watching multiple games. I tried a new beer in "Victoria" that has become a favorite. If you're looking for a place that combines authentic Mexican cuisine, outstanding service, and a clean, inviting atmosphere, you'll find La Cascada to be a treasure.

7/17/2023: La Cascada's egregiously BLAND street tacos--NO CHEESE, NO SALSA, NO FLAVOR~WTH!!!!

7/17/2023: My party and I sat at the bar lounge despite, there were several dining tables opened. We waited fifteen minutes before anyone took our drink order, tortillas and a small dollop of salsa were served then, another ten minutes passed when a wait staff decided taking our food order but, they NEVER GAVE US THE LA CASCASDA MENU . . . We had to go hunt for a menu ourselves--WTH!!!! Despite waiting a total of twenty-five minutes for ANY wait staff taking our drink order and food order, I FINALLY ordered La Cascada's Happy Hour Street Tacos; HOWEVER, upon receiving the Street Tacos twenty minutes later: The Street Tacos were egregiously BLAND, i.e., NO CHEESE, NO SALSA, NO FLAVOR~WTH!!!! Disappointingly, I had no choice but, add the leftover salsa from the tortilla chips due to there was no salsa accompanying the street tacos when served despite, hailing the wait staff-AGAIN requesting more salsa. Moreover, the wait staff didn't provide water refills despite, the weather temperature was 103° Fahrenheit! Furthermore, I requested one napkin which never arrived when the Street Tacos were served . . . Service was sporadic and grossly inattentive. I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS RESTAURANT!

Great food! Great service! We sat at the bar and the ambience was great! Drinks were good too. Definitely recommend this place.

Ceviche and mini street taco sampler

We had a wonderful dinner here tonight! A delicious, huge Top Shelf Rita (not too sweet) and with fresh orange was great! My hubs had ceviche that he said was delicious and fresh but wished it had been a tad colder.. I was thrilled with my 6 mini taco sampler (perfect for me since I can never choose my favorite lol) I was in Heaven! The owner checked on us and SKYLER our waiter gave us great service! Gracias! We will return!!

"Eating here is like being trapped in the Telemundo adaptation version of Jordan Peeles horror…read morefilm, Get 0ut..," What I love about the places is the location how beautiful it absolutely is above the town center with awesome view of the El Dorado Hills. That's the good. the bad is it's inconsistent. my favorite thing to get is the Ahi poke nachos.. yes, offbeat for a Mexican style restaurant but the Ahi tuna is so delicious and fresh. It normally has avocado cilantro cucumber jalapeño cherry tomatoes like it is so good and it has this garlic spicy Pozo sauce with fresh limes on the side. Yesterday it looked like they chewed my tuna up sprinkled it randomly and threw on some of this nasty chipotle aïoli that they tried to pass off for the Ponzo sauce I don't know if it was a mistake in the kitchen I mentioned it and all of a sudden my server had amnesia. . I literally told him twice that that is not the Ponzo sauce that comes on the Aji tuna nachos. Now this restaurant, it's called Encanto as an incantation such as the spirits.. they sell they are absolutely experts on every single type of tequila there is. And that's great . service is actually really good L. Was our server he's been my server every time I've come and has never failed to deliver five star service and experience. However yesterday I felt like I was in a Telemundo adaptation of Jordan Peele's horror film GET OUT in which THIS VERSION I was trapped in a Mexican theme restaurant where there was no actual Mexican food. The actual staff and I who knew that this was also when we kept making eye contact that nobody said anything to anyone or tipped each other off like we were going to be caught because we knew the truth! As frightening as that sounds that was my reality and that's the ugly of it. The Ahi poke nachos delivered on the bed of wonton chips which is a spin on tortilla chips I'm sure Becky and her friends at Club med were absolutely impressed with the spin and I was too when it had spicy Panzo sauce as described on the menu. Yesterday they came up with some sort of chipotle aïoli that they just lathered on everything like it was gravy like literally they thought this was gonna take them to Mexican Heaven and it left all of us here wondering what the hell is this? I thought I'd play it safe to get the fish tacos pico de gallo but once again they wanted to put the chipotle aïoli on it so I asked for it on the side then what was delivered to me was just lackluster limp fish tacos pico de gallo on the side no love the salsa absolutely begged for salt. I really think they should hire somebody to come in like somebody's abuelita to just walk through the recipes and fine-tune it to spank a few of the chefs by the hand make sure they add more salt.. to throw a chancala at a few people and then we will have all the makings of an amazing Mexican restaurant. When I asked my server L did he have any Valentina sauce did he have any thing to make it taste the fish tacos taste delicious he was completely lost like no no ma'am this is all we have finally he end up bringing me some Tapatia and a side of sour cream which he charged me for so I could try to mix it together to come up with some sort of spicy creamer to go with my tacos. I won't give them a one star because like I said the service is always good the bar is always top-tier they gave me a watermelon margarita it's supposed to have basil in it. It's like they think if they put chipotle aïoli and Chamoy on top of everything then suddenly it's Mexican .. it has the makings all of the makings of a great place they are missing just a few key ingredients.

As we were sitting waiting for our food, a server came over on two separate occasions with the wrong food, asking who had what. Not a big deal, they obviously had the wrong table, no biggy, but it looks unprofessional. The vibe is always nice in there, very friendly and inviting. Then they finally brought our food out, and gave me my chimichanga, with a nice spread of avocado on the top. The issue? I specifically ordered it WITHOUT avocado or guacamole. It even said so on the receipt. But by that point I was starving, so I scraped it off and started eating. The pork inside was tasty, BUT I ORDERED CARNE ASADA. So in the end, I did not get what I ordered whatsoever. And as a side note, I've noticed the portion sizes vary each time I've come in, but this was by far the skimpiest portion I've ever gotten. The chimichanga was tiny, and I barely got any rice or beans on the side. Like I said, I love this place, but this experience doesn't inspire me with a lot of confidence. Hopefully next time I come in it's better!

Habanero Sauce - 9 - Tasty but wow will this one get you. It's hot! So much good flavor though...it's to die for. Jalapeño Cream Sauce - 10 - Something I've never seen before but is so delicious. Rice 7 - Good but run of the mill Beans - 10 - Best refried beans you can get...seriously! Quesabirria - 9 - Juicy and flavorful. Chile Relleno Plate - 10 - The fresh tomato sauce was perfect, the crunch on the chile was perfect, the cheese was perfect. Eat it right away to preserve the crunch! Taco Plate (Pollo Asada, Carnitas, Al Pastor) - Carne Asada - 7 - I ordered chicken but this was flavorful albeit dry Carnitas - 6 - No crisp and a bit lacking in flavor Al Pastor - 9 - Very flavorful but has a greasiness to it . I don't recommend ordering in a burrito because it may be overwhelming. Flan - 8 - Creamy and tasty, a tad sweet This place is fantastic. There are several items we've tried that have become our favorites among the local taquerias. Friendly staff, very high quality takeout Mexican at a good price. This place can't be beat!

We were meeting a friend and they had gotten a table for us before we arrived, but it wasn't busy and there were plenty of tables available. We're glad we had a chance to try Cantina Pedregal before it changes into Nixtaco- although now having been to both you're going to have delicious food either way. The restaurant is beautiful and whoever did the interior design was so thoughtful with the furniture, colors and ambiance. It's very warm, welcoming and calming inside. A great date spot or place for a meeting. The lunch menu has a good variety of options, and is broken down into smaller bites/appetizers, salads, main plates, and then sides. It's a nice spot to share dishes so you can try more items and share the sides. We ended up getting the chips and salsa ($7) with an extra salsa ($4), Grilled Black Half Chicken ($23), and Fideo Seco ($14). Our friend got the Carne Asada Tacos ($24), Refried Beans ($12), and Red Rice ($10). The sides were shareable and needed, since the entrees came on their own. Our friend added some of the beans, rice and Fideo Seco on their tacos and our chicken did come with some tortillas to make our own tacos or eat on it's own. Everything was high quality and flavorful. The Fideo Seco was surprisingly my favorite item. It is vermicelli pasta with sofrito, chorizo and egg yolk and was very tasty. The chicken was good, but hard to eat without using your hands to get all the meat off the bones- the messy hands didn't seem to fit with the restaurant vibe but we loved the flavor and how tender the chicken was. The salsa was good and the chips were fresh, but it seemed like a lot to charge $4 for the ramekins of salsas. I would pass on chips and salsa next time. Overall it was a great vibe, high quality food and good service. Definitely more of a treat meal or great spot to impress a date or business client. For a regular chill meal it felt a bit expensive, but I think they're going for more upscale.
