I previously ate at their sister restaurant Flax & Kale and found that experience to overshadow my time at Teresa Carles. I was definitely familiar with many of the overlapping menu items and decided to go with their rotating lunch special for that day's meal. I started with their gazpacho which was flavorful and a nice treat on a hot summer day. Afterwards I received my vegan kebab which I found a bit underwhelming. The pita felt too soft and there wasn't much of the actual soy meat they used compared to the condiments. It felt more like a TVP crumble on top of soft bread. I did enjoy the vegan pudding dessert to end the meal however. Since I was leaving on a flight, I did end up ordering one of their veggie burgers and fries to go, and I found that to be much tastier than the kebab that I had at the restaurant. Despite the 'okay' lunch, I still enjoyed the experience and am glad there's an extensive vegan scene here in the city.

We were expecting better, since the place is gorgeously designed, but we left unhappy. Apps: wasabi croquettes and eggplant with pomegranates were interesting to try. I wouldn't call them delicious, but they were unique dishes. Entrees: I got the pumpkin pizza and husband got the fish dish. His was insultingly small for the price. Mine was mainly bread with a bit of pumpkin thrown on. I don't know, it could have been better. It felt like a slap in the face that these were our entrees. Drinks: I got one of their juices, which I learned later on that it was not pasteurized. My husband said his cocktail (the beet one) was too sweet and just tasted like eating a beet. Service started out okay but then disappeared. Overall, did not leave us with a good impression. That's the last time I give a vegan-loved restaurant a shot...

Although I don't have allergies I have many friends who do and find it hard to dine out while still enjoying something authentic. Gut was perfect on our trip because everything felt healthy and refreshing but also unique and exciting which was exactly what we were looking for! We split the felafel, chicken curry, and beef dish and everything was incredible. Felafel was probably my favorite though! They had really good wine, Aperol spritz, and we split the brownie with ice cream. I loved everything. And I can't say enough good things about the service. Our servers were so kind to us and helpful and it made the whole experience so enjoyable. The restaurant is small but feels elevated and local in a non-touristy area. Truly would come back here if I am ever in Barcelona again!

Check the website to confirm the hours because the Yelp hours weren't correct and we ended up coming about and hour and a half before they closed. The staff still welcomed us in but we tried to be polite and finish early. We order drinks. I got the sangria since I wanted to try it while in Spain. The alcohol was jussssst right, if you know what I mean. I think, altogether we order just about everything on the menu between us and the portion sizes were great for being able to share amongst the table. I ordered the Indian curry with rice. We also shared the baked cauliflower, mushroom puffed pastry, the honey miso aubergine, and the goat cheese mixed greens. Every last dish was wonderfully seasoned and the flavors were AMAZING, in my opinion. The only thing that wasn't up my alley was the aubergine. This is no fault of the chef. I just am trying to love aubergine/eggplant but just haven't found a dish that makes me swoon. It's a texture thing I think. Anyway, I really loved the mushroom puffed pastry and I normally have an aversion to mushrooms as well...texture thing yet again. The desserts were great too. I literally sucked the caramel flan in three bites. It was deee-licous! This place definitely is on my list of places the next time I'm in Barcelona. The decor and lighting was great for the ambiance, the staff were very nice, and the food came out fast and tasted perfect especially after a long day exploring Barcelona. Cheers!

This place marked the spot. There's plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. I preferred an indoor seat this evening because of the heat. First, the paella comes in a hearty serving. Definitely will fill you up. I arrived around 7ish for perspective and they made this to order. The paella was made wonderfully. Me personally, it seems a bit too rice heavy and not enough seasoning for my preference, but that is more an indictment on paella and not this place. They did have plenty of other options so I'm sure people are satisfied regardless.

Great allergen labeling. All around stellar spot. PS my walking tour guide said Born is much cooler and less touristy than the Gothic District- if that helps you choose which location. OMG BEST FOOD IN BARCELONA!!!!…read more I came here for my last meal while visiting Barcelona and I was so happy we did. We were a little tired of eating tapas so we decided to have a nice steak dinner. Even though there were only 2 reviews on Yelp for this place, Trip Advisor had a ton so we made a reservation online of the restaurants website. The food was absolutely amazing! I started off with a glass of the house wine and my fiancé had a tap beer. The wine came in a huge glass and the pour was so generous! Definitely would be considered two glasses of wine in NYC! They also gave us complimentary olives. Yum! For our dinner we shared the steak and 2 different kind of potatoes which were both delicious. My favorite part about the steak was the chimichurri seasoning on the steak. It was the best thing I have ever tasted. I even had to ask the owner/chef what it was! We also shared the grilled vegetables and they were out of this world as well. We finished everything but the portion size was great. I was so happy we found this little gem in Barcelona and if I go back to Barcelona I would 100% go back to eat there!
