This pizza lived up to its name, extraordinary! I ordered the Star Luca which has ricotta, mozzarella, spicy salami calabrese, spicy Italian tomato sauce and fresh basil. The crust was thin, slightly crisp and light, in other words, perfect! The sauce was spicy and flavorful without being overwhelming. The mozzarella was just enough to carry the salami and give the basil some support. Simply stated this pizza was perfectly balanced with each component complementing the others., pizza perfect!

I guess I'll just have to wait until I'm back in New York to get my Joe's fix because, for me, the Miami one just ain't it.

Every bite felt perfectly balanced. What keeps bringing me back is the authenticity. The San Marzano tomato sauce, the exceptional quality of the salami, and the attention to traditional Neapolitan flavors make Legenda feel like a little piece of Napoli in South Beach. It's the kind of food that doesn't need to overcomplicate anything, the quality speaks for itself. The hospitality deserves a special mention as well. The entire team was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. They make you feel taken care of from the moment you sit down. And, in a small South Beach miracle, I found parking almost immediately For me, Legenda is a solid 10/10. What's really neat is that this a NY based restaurant that people usually wait in line to try and get it but here on the beach we've never waiting more then 10-15min to be seated. Staff were attentive and friendly. Prices were high, as expected, but at least the pizzas are of reasonable size. The $32 pasta portion probably could've been a bit more generous. But anyway, on to why we're all here - The Pizza: The crust had a great crunch but I felt lacked nuance beyond that, no chew and a touch on the dry side. Cheese and sauce were fine but also unremarkable. The heaps of basil provided some bright freshness that was definitely appreciated. And while the pizza was tasty, if I'm being completely fair, it just wasn't memorable enough for me to understand the hype or feel like I needed to come back for it. I did end up coming back a second time to try the pasta, and unfortunately, that experience was disappointing. Both my friend's pasta and mine were significantly undercooked. What made the situation especially awkward was how it was handled. The waiter seemed almost bothered that we mentioned it, and eventually the owner came over and spoke to my friend, saying he would personally make sure hers was cooked properly. But he never asked about mine, even though mine was just as undercooked. When my friend's pasta came back, it was much better, but mine was never addressed. The whole interaction just felt strange and uncomfortable, especially considering we had the exact same issue at the same table. Between the pizza not quite living up to the expectations I had going in and the experience on my second visit, I'm glad I tried it, but I don't think it's a place I'd go out of my way to return to.
