If you're craving authentic New Orleans comfort food but don't want to make the trip to Louisiana, this is the place to go! We stopped in thinking it was just another crawfish restaurant, but we couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised. From the moment we walked through the doors, we were greeted by elegant chandeliers, a warm and inviting atmosphere, and music that perfectly complemented the dining experience. The menu is incredible, featuring authentic Cajun and Creole favorites prepared with exceptional flavor and care. We've enjoyed the fried calamari, shrimp rolls, oysters, crawfish, gumbo, yakamein, oxtails, seafood boils, po'boys, and more--and every dish has been fresh, generously portioned, and expertly seasoned. It's clear that quality and authenticity are top priorities. The outstanding food, reasonable prices, attentive service, and welcoming hospitality have made LA Cajun Table one of our favorite places for both dine-in and takeout. We decided to check out LA Cajun Table with the boys, and it was a bit of a mixed experience. The boudin balls were a great way to start; crispy on the outside, flavorful inside, and the boys really enjoyed them. The fruit slushies were also a huge hit! They kept the kids happy from start to finish. For the main meal, the boys had catfish with fries, and they cleaned their plates, so that's always a good sign! They also tried the mac & cheese with fried shrimp. It wasn't my favorite, but if you ask them, it was a winner. Then again... they're mac & cheese lovers, so take that for what it's worth! Unfortunately, the chargrilled oysters with bacon were the biggest disappointment. They had a strong fishy flavor and were very gritty. I managed to eat one but couldn't bring myself to finish the rest. Overall, it was a mixed bag. The kids left happy, which definitely counts for something, but I think there's room for improvement--especially with the oysters. Now that crawfish season is over, I feel safe writing this review. LA Cajun Table has the BEST tasting crawfish in Sugar Land. Those crawdads are flavored inside and out. The House Special sauce is garlicky, buttery, full of Cajun spice, and crazy savory -- none of that sweet nonsense served at other restaurants. Their online ordering system lets you tweak the sauce exactly to your taste (extra or light on juice/butter/seasoning, and even a "muddy" option). They also run excellent deals throughout the season. I paid about $6/lb at one point! Okay... I'm shaking with excitement now because I had to look at their menu to remember all the sauce options, and THEY HAVE LIVE CALI CRAWFISH RIGHT NOW. If you're reading this, you owe me a pound. The only reason I'm giving them 4 stars instead of 5 is that the boiled seafood is the only truly incredible thing on the menu. The gumbo is meh, and I once received boudin balls that were undercooked. Their crawfish also ran a little smaller than other spots during the first half of the season, but by mid-season, they were HUGE. Sorry (not sorry) I had to gatekeep this spot. If you hate sweet sauce on your crawfish as much as I do, make this your first stop when crawfish season rolls back around. read more

This place is AMAZING! literally the best. We came here on a whim after shopping in the area and craving some seafood and LA Cajun Table did not disappoint! Honestly some of the most flavorful food I've had. Everything was good. From the shrimp rolls to the ramen. We got plenty of food: shrimp rolls, seafood boil with side of ramen (in the boil sauce), fried shrimp and fish and we even got food to go: blacked catfish. And when I say we enjoyed every single bite! The service was spectacular. They have a bar so if you want a drink they do have that. The food is very reasonable and you get a lot of it! I was really craving crawfish and decided to stop by LA Cajun Table last Tuesday. I ordered 3 lbs of crawfish, house medium, priced at $10 per pound. Since it's still pretty early in the season, most of the crawfish were on the smaller side, which I expected. Flavor-wise, I really enjoyed them -- they were well-seasoned and definitely hit the spot. Unfortunately, my stomach didn't quite agree with the house sauce, so I won't be able to get that flavor again unless I'm willing to suffer for it. I'll definitely be back in a couple of weeks once the crawfish get bigger, and next time I'll get the traditional flavor. I would definitely recommend this spot if you're craving crawfish. read more

The people working were friendly, our orders were correct and hot and the place was clean with a nice ambiance. I got the fried fish- (4pieces) it came with 3 sides (Cajun fries, Cajun rice and corn) for $12! My husband had the blackened fish that came with broccoli, Cajun rice and ettoufee. It has 2 huge pieces of fish and was all more than he could eat. He enjoyed the flavor immensely! We got my son chicken tenders (6) with fries and corn and our total was $46! Plus tip of course. Great ambiance, and terrific service. Food was tasty, but be careful, "spicy" can be understated depending on individual tastes. Our guests found medium to challenge their tolerance level. 2pm Saturday, the place was empty, got a table for 6, server was Sarah. Service was hands down outstanding. We ordered Boudin balls which were pretty good when dipped in the accompanying Cajun mustard sauce. Sfd Gumbo was also pretty good. Ordered garlic parm roasted oysters, very good. Then we tried the crawfish Etouffee and discovered everything came from exactly the same sauce which is a pretty thin soup base with decent flavor but definitely not what etouffee is supposed to be. They claim to be authentic New Orleans but didn't know what Abita beer was. Stuffed crabs looked like from a frozen box product, all exactly the same size & shape. Ambiance is nice, place is clean but they are definitely not the real deal, sorry. My wife was born & raised in Nola & we have spent plenty of time there eating. My first meal at this establishment and it was delicious! I walked in to get food to go. I was greeted warmly at the door and given a menu. The restaurant is nice inside with different seating areas, cool lighting and a chill vibe. Placed my order and sat down to wait. Wait time was a bit long, but it appears food is made when you order it and came to me piping hot so I didn't mind the wait. Got home and had to taste everything so excuse my not so great bites taken pictures lol. The food was/is (I have leftovers) delicious . Red beans and rice were hearty and flavorful, fried catfish (yes I paid the up charge) and shrimp were perfectly fried and the sides (mashed potatoes and broccoli) were seasoned well. The Yakamein was outstanding! I got it with medium heat and my only complaint is the broth was a bit salty for my liking. The beef was tender and the shrimp were cooked just right. LA Cajun Table in Sugar Land delivered an outstanding experience. The Yakamein was the star of my meal--rich, authentic, and packed with shrimp and tender beef. It had that comforting, soulful flavor you hope for but don't always find. I started with the Galatoire Mason Salad, which was fresh, well-balanced, and a perfect lead‑in to the main dish. I've been here on several occasions mostly for the crawfish but I always try something else. On the 1st visit I tried their loaded oysters for me they were okay. I wouldn't order them again just because I think they are loaded with too much it takes away from the oyster. I've had the Catfish Dinner and I recommend. It comes with 3 sides. You will be good and full. The pieces of catfish were plump and juicy. I would request next time to fry a little longer, just my preference. I tried the garlic Parmesan wings it was a wet sauce. If I had just been given a plate of wings to identify I never would have guessed they were garlic. I like my wings too be tender, these were not. I've had the Beignets and funnel cake love them both. Customer service has been good on each visit. The restaurant has a nice vibe and feel. Depending on the day it can be a little dark in there so I usually grab a window seat if available. read more
