    Super Quesadilla (Beef)

I thought the quesadilla tasted delicious (well-seasoned, a lot of cheese, nice helping of guacamole, sour cream, and salsa). It did cost ~$12 though, but it's pretty big in size.

For the prices and the portion sizes, I have to say that La Burrita is not bad ! The service was good, as they got my order out fairly quickly and the flavor was definitely there. However, the way in which they react to a customer saying they're picking up the orders is... questionable. The ambiance itself is nice. A fairly homey mexican restaurant with many different people ordering and everything relatively clean. I definitely recommend trying the salsas they have on the side. I got the Super Nachos and Quesabirria tacos from here. The Nachos were good, but the cheese drowned the top layer and made the chips too soggy. Along with that, it was pretty greasy from the carne asada on them. The Quesabirria tacos were full of flavor, but the consome that comes with it was a little too salty for my taste. Also, it does not compare with the birria that my dad makes !! But out of all the quesabirria tacos I've had, I would rank it #3. All in all, I have to say, not bad. The pricing reminds me of home and so does the flavor. Thank you La Burrita!

One of the few places open on this street during the holidays. Ordered a regular chicken quesadilla and two beef taco plates with Horchata. The food was enjoyable for the kids, the horchata was watery and didn't have much flavor. The food came out quickly, parking was easy to find and metered, the restaurant and bathroom were both clean.

Chicken asada burrito... or more like a sour cream burrito with chicken?

My wife and I ordered an enchilada dinner and a burrito here recently. We got it delivered by doordash, and together with tip that came out to nearly $40... crazy times. The enchilada plate was food, but pretty small, with only small sides of rice and beans and the beans were pretty bland. My burrito was very small for $14. I'm talking something like a medium tortilla sized ordeal here. Really underwhelming. The saddest part was when I cut into it... it was probably 30% by volume sour cream. No joke. The majority of this burritos filling was rice and sour cream. I have no idea why. I had selected chicken asada as the meat, but they must have misread that as "fillt his thing with sour cream"... or something like that. With all that sour cream there wasn't really anything else to taste, it was just bland and mealy. This place may be better in person where they aren't just shipping it out the door, but this experience was not very good. TL;DR: Bland and expensive... and way too much sour cream!

I have recently become SUCH A FAN of La Burrita. As a Mexican-American, I tend to avoid Mexican restaurants for fear they won't taste enough like home. I avoid burritos especially, since they're more of an American meal than a Mexican one. Here's where I become a total hypocrite. I have ONLY had burritos from La Burrito, because I think they're that good! Even the smalls are quite large, and the price is unbeatable. I dipped my toes in the water with the small bean and cheese. It was so flavorful, I came back and went all in with the large shredded chicken burrito. Equally good, especially with the tomato salsa drenched on top. The cheese is an ESSENTIAL component. Don't skip out!!! Bring Lactaid if you must, I've got enough to share. Next time I plan to take it a step further and try the specialty burrito, and at some point perhaps I'll try one of their other dishes. Maybe. I'm not sure. But I will definitely be back for their burritos!

Walk through the courtyard to get to La Burrita.

La Burrita is located on the quiet side of UC Berkeley. When most students want to pig out, they go south to Telegraph and find a place there. Not many go north to Euclid, and thus miss out on this award-winning Mexican restaurant. Award winning? Yes, best burrito for several years. Naturally, I had a burrito. Specifically, the cheesesteak burrito, which has gooey cheese and no beans. Unusual, and not exactly Mexican. I don't care, it was a tasty concoction. Very tasty beef, and large slabs of green pepper. I guessimate it at 10" wide. The only problem I had with it is that its juice drained all over my shorts as I ate it at Sproul Plaza before the football game. To get to La Burrita, you go through a small courtyard with several tables where you can eat outside. This courtyard is shared with two other restaurants. It doesn't try to feel like Ensenada. 1 plate of free chips with your order. The food is around $1 more than at a cheap dive or taco truck. Plenty of tables to eat inside if you wish. Eugene L would call it "baller-on-a-budget approved." Others would describe it as "tasty AF", which I guess means "tasty and fantastic." I call it "a winner", one that I'd be happy to bring the Hunny and Girl to. Yo Steph, your fam wanna meet up with my fam at La Burrita?

At first glance, my wet veggie burrito looked like it was gonna be tasty! But after a bite, I realized it was bland. I was thoroughly disappointed. The veggies were broccoli, cauliflower, carrots... where are the bell peppers and onions you'd typically find in a burrito?? The Bay Area needs better Mexican food! One star for kind cashier and another for quick turnaround (5min)

Nachos were the best thing I've ever had. Maybe a little too cheesy. I'm Mexican so this review is legit.

    Chicken fajita plate

La Burrita is one of the better choices for food on the Northside. I've eaten there twice and the food, while not spectacular, fulfilled my craving for a quick and decent bite to eat. The first time, I got the chicken fajita plate and it wasn't bad, but also fell flat in certain respects. It was only lukewarm and the chicken, while seasoned well, came in too small of a portion. The rice had good flavor as well, but was too cold and clumpy. The rest of the elements - beans, salsa, guacamole - were decent but didn't taste freshly made. The California burrito I got my second time there was slightly. better. It combined together a variety of ingredients in a satisfying way, and it was not overly packed to the point where it fell apart - I could take a clean bite every single time. However, after a certain point the flavor profiles became dull and I was forced to dip the burrito in salsa to keep things interesting and finish it. For what it is, La Burrita serves its purpose quite well.

However the person who ordered this dish said she would ask to see if she could order the rotisserie chicken without the spicy sauce. She asked did ask for sour cream to tone down the heat. I still feel that way, but recently I reserved a table for 4 and two things really stuck in my mind negatively after spending the evening there that wanted to alert the restaurant to. I worked in restaurants for 15 years so I know not every day is your best, and that getting things right is the first priority, not schmoozing, so this isn't about friendliness. The server was fine in terms of checking up on us, but didn't engage our request for recommendations for dinner or wine; no biggie, but when the check came she a) didn't mention that the tip was included, and my generous boyfriend (who wanted to snag the card and pay quickly without letting others get a chance) would have tipped another $80 had I not gotten up from the table and asked whether tip was included. On large checks the server should tell the group immediately not to worry about calculating the tip, and still act like she is earning it by taking good care of the table, refilling wine glasses when we ordered a bottle, etc. what really got me though was when we requested -- she didn't offer-- the remaining food on the table to go, she came with two piles of boxes and put them on the edge of the table. Again, my no-fuss boyfriend said he didn't mind packing the food up, but I think if you spend $450 on a dinner they could at least offer to neatly pack the food to go. It's a chore that I want to leave at home, plus it can be messy. It annoyed me a lot that the money we spent didn't seem to be appreciated and we had to basically clean up our table at the end. Not a good service night. Can you make it a policy to at least offer to pack the food?
