My girlfriend and I stopped by here for dinner. There is plenty of street parking in front of the resturant. If not there are more parking spots around the corner. We ordered their homemade tomato soup which was awesome! I ended up cleaning the plate with the bread that they gave us because it was that good! The second course was the duck prosciutto with pomegranate and that was also delicious! Noww to the main course! T-Bone steak! Ooooomyyyygawdddd it was the best piece of cow I've had by far! It was cooked to perfection! It is so simply cooked with just salt, pepper and olive oil. The t-bone was cut and prepared right in front of your table. It had the perfect redness in the meat and the drizzle of olive oil made the dish complete! Also that scrumptious chocolate dessert is what ended our amazing dining experience. The owner was very nice! This place is run by husband and wife. We even shared stories of our travels. The couple explained how they traveled to Little Italy in NYC and was disappointed that it was nothing like their real home! To many pizza shops and traffic! I would definitely come back again! Thank you!

    Delicious!

We had dinner here on September 26, 2016 and this was the best meal we had in all of Italy. Trust me we had some great meals at fantastic Restaurants, but nothing like here. From the tomato soup, to dessert nothing could have been better. The ambiance, the food, the service, 10 out of 10 stars! if you are with in 100km or miles of this restaurant you have to go!

We met a couple at a winery who were also traveling through Tuscany and they recommended that we try eating here as it had been one of their best meals in Italy and we have to agree. The selection of breads made with Tuscan cheeses and meats were delicious. We each had a pasta dish which were both excellent and then for the main course we shared a Tuscan T-bone steak, also quite lovely. Don't forget to try the homemade Tiramisu :) a wonderful finish to the meal. The best part was the service and hospitality of the owners who made us feel like we were at home.

Amazing food and wonderful atmosphere. The best meal I had in the 2 weeks I was in Italy and I ate at plenty of more expensive places.

I have some very mixed feelings about this restaurant. My husband and I hired a driver for the day…read morein Chianti to take us to some wineries, and he drove us here between the wineries for lunch. When we first pulled up, I was kind of excited because it was located on a hill and I was hoping for good views, but when we walked in, it was an ambiance killer. The patio area was in a bit of disarray, the patio was not open, but enclosed by glass windows that were cracked and the view was obstructed by bushes. We could see into the yard where there was an old foosball table, and a few other things, making it look a bit like a rummage sale. I honestly almost told the driver to take us away. It took us some time to get served which didn't make me any happier ,as I didn't want to waste my time there. When we did start to get served, it became obvious that it was family-owned, and the chef took pride in his food as he told us about the specials of the day. I chose a stuffed capellinni that was served with a smoked pumpkin sauce. The chef explained to me that the pumpkin had been smoked for six hours. My husband chose the trout that was cooked three ways. Afterward, they even brought him a trout fritter. I walked inside the restaurant to find the restroom. The inside of the restaurant was actually very cute with a campy, rustic feel with a lovely fireplace. It was much nicer than the patio. After lunch, the owner brought us some complimentary drinks and chocolates. At first, I thought is was grappa, but it seemed to be more of a homemade fermented tea. I really didn't care for it, but I thought it was a nice way to end a meal and showed the restaurant cared for customers. This place has potential, but they really need to take care of the patio area, and clean up the yard. I don't think I would ever go back, but it does seem to be a popular place with the locals.

An incredible vista!!!Unfortunately, on the night we went. The service was poor, we were told by three waiters it was their first day, and that the head maître d' was sick (not information that should be share with guests, but I am not a local). The service was extremely slow, not up to the standards of a restaurant like this. Our food came out between 30 minutes and an hour and a half after ordering. That is one meal came out after 30 minutes and one meal came 90 minutes after it was ordered. We were told that since we did not have reservations, we should expect such a service, premium service (all food arriving at the same time) is exclusive to people with reservations, however, we did notice guests that had reservations getting their own utensils and menus an a bit annoyed. Some of the food was very good, unfortunately, not all. One dish was described as Wildboar. It tasted, to us like beef, poor quality beef at that (good enough for Americans). The staff insisted that the meat was high quality wild-boar and we were not sophisticated enough to know the difference. (We are sure it was not boar) Please try it, I assume they're service is going to be much better than the night we dined, it was a pretty epic failure on the wait staff and kitchen. This place does have the most epic Tuscan view.

The staff cut us up a platter of their cheese in the cellar. Tiramisu for desert topped the 5 star experience. We ended up here by mistake (confused it with another spot), and unfortunately it didn't live up to expectations. The restaurant fills up with reservations for two seatings, and from the moment we sat down the pace felt rushed. We ordered drinks and a starter while deciding on the rest, but multiple staff members kept coming by trying to take our full order. It felt like they were pushing to move things along quickly. There were a couple positives. The chicken livers to start were quite tasty and something we didn't see often on other menus. The primi were underwhelming. The pasta didn't taste fresh like many other trattorias in Siena, and the dishes overall were just average. The lasagna in particular was mushy, and the sauces didn't stand out. The secondi were slightly better -- pork ribs, Barolo-braised beef, and a "small chicken" -- but still nothing that justified the higher prices. They do have an underground wine cellar built into a cave, which is interesting to see, but there are other places in Siena with much larger and more impressive cellar spaces. Also worth noting, they add a "10% tax" charge rather than the typical €2 coperto per person. Overall, a rushed and fairly mediocre meal at a higher price point. With so many better places to eat in Siena, this is one I'd skip.
