This is the reason Riverside doesn't have a BevMo or Total Wine. We have absolutely no need for an impersonal chain superstore with the exceptional service and selection of La Bodega. La Bodega has everything. Craft Beer fans will be delighted with the enormous selection of hard to find and interesting bottles. Wine fans will want to walk out with everything they can carry. Small batch, rare, unique, special ordered, whatever you want (and even things you didn't know you wanted), you got it. As a bonus, the staff is friendly and super knowledgeable. This is easily one of the best businesses in Riverside and probably my personal favorite. I come in a couple times a month like a kid in a candy store. La Bodega is not your average liquor store, they have an extensive wine selection that you can not find at big box stores including rare wines. La Bodega has a very good selection of a lot of different stuff. Most things you haven't heard of or can find in Riverside without driving the distance to BevMo (and they carry different things). Even if you don't drink, a fair share of hard to find sodas, drinks, and glassware. They carry seasonal beer brews from different breweries, and a very good hard liquor section. I've had some friends that wanted sake but was unable to find anything good in the area before I recommended them this place. They have a fairly decent sake section and of course everything else. It's also fun to look at the super expensive liquors and cognacs in the locked glass cabinet. read more

As a newbie 21 year-old, I was really excited to shop around at different liquor stores in the area. After being sorely disappointed by a few, I was so happy to find La Bodega! The tequila selection holds a special place in my heart, and they have tooooons of mini bottles if you're into that kind of cutesy craft for your friends' 21st. They have all the regular brands, but why be boring and pick something you can get at BevMo? Let the employees suggest some new drinks for you. Great place to pick up craft beers. That's about all I've ever gotten from here so I'm unaware of their other selections but they definitely have a store full of products for everyone it looks like. If you're into sours like me then you'll definitely like the selection that they have to offer. The store is well maintained despite the dingy looking outside. Online order: I like my beer... And unfortunately the only way to get some of the stuff I like is to order online. I found La Bodega's website through Google. Very easy to navigate. I quickly found some very hard to get beers, and placed my order. Mr. Samir was quick to call me with a problem with my order. Problem solved and my fantastic brew was quickly on it's way. Amazing selection of beer and they know a lot about beer but they gouge you on the price. But if you're looking for something rare or special they'll probably have it or can get it for you. They'll also send you an email when it come in. Love it just wish it was cheaper. read more

I was really looking forward to this place, with all of the good reviews and all. But walking in the doors, I was instantly disappointed. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice, locally-owned small business. But, the selection and prices left much to be desired. I just wish there was better lighting as there is a kinda dingy feel to the space, with all of the shelves and floors overflowing with too much stuff. Everyone was very friendly, though! read more

The very best place to buy specialty liquor. For parties, for presents, for yourself. This place carries everything the other places don't and is my absolute number 1 go-to for when I'm feeling fancy. Prices are not outrageous. The employees are all super nice.They DO card people that look young (I'm almost 25 and they just don't believe it). Stella Rosa is my favorite bottle of wine to get here. I have been going to La Bodega since the 60's. Always found what I needed for gifts. For the last 6 years or so I have been helped by Kim. She always greets me with a smile and a positive attitude, rare in businesses these days. She is an asset to La Bodega and I have enjoyed talking with her these last years. We are moving out of state and I will miss dropping by for my Coca Cola and lottery tickets every week, and most of all I will miss hearing the cheerful, "how are you Anne" each time I come in. Love this place. I live down the street and frequent it often. They have this kick ass beer called Orangeblossom. Wow! It is sooo good. They have an amazing selection of all the favorites and collectible sets. I bought a tequila set there that came in a glass gun with two shot glasses. It made an impressive gift. This is not just any liquor store but one where they have everything-and the staff knows their stuff. I have gone in to purchase tequila as a gift and have received a lesson in different tequilas. If we need a bottle of wine but are not sure what to buy-we can explain what we want it for(ie:casual dinner but want to serve wine that is not expensive but really good) and they know what to recommend and we have always been happy with the selection. I have lived in this country for 36 years. My uncle has a favorite drink that I bring back from England every time I travel there or I order it from out of state. Just last month I happened to pop in to La Bodega and to my delight the amazing Mike handed me a bottle of my uncles favourite drink, Gleyva!! This is the Mighty Mite of all liquor stores. There are very few places I can go and find everything I need or want in one place. This Jewel has been there for years and has never disappointed. From a fantastic selection of beer, to a world class Scotch collection. From great whiskey to cordials...its all there. The wine selection has many prizes and so many types of wine that they can find any number of wine for anyone, even the novice drinker...Warning, this store gets quite busy but Ive never waited long. If you have trouble finding anything or would like to try something new, dont be afraid to ask. There are several workers there who really know thier stuff and can be a great fountain of information.
