Who knew a liquor store out in Corona would have the exact bottle I was looking for, and at a reasonable price. I was hunting for a Japanese whiskey, and everywhere else wanted close to $120 if they even had it in stock. I was able to pick it up here for $70. I'm not from the area, but luckily it was only a slight drive out of my way. I even called ahead to confirm that the online price matched the in store price, which it does. The guy I spoke with was really nice and confirmed they had exactly what I was looking for. When I walked in, I was honestly shocked by their selection. Some prices were really good, some were average, and only a few felt overpriced. Overall though, they have a great thing going here with a strong selection. I even came across a few tequila bottles I had never heard of. After checking later, I confirmed I was right about the pricing. Most bottles were $5 to $20 cheaper than other stores or major retailers, with only a few specialty shops beating them by about $5. Highly recommend stopping in to grab a few bottles if it's not far out of your way. read more

Long time customer, been coming here over a decade, so when it was my sister-in-laws birthday and I wanted to get her a unique bottle of tequila, naturally I came here. Unfortunately, they sold me an empty bottle. We didn't find out till we visited them a few months later and they brought it out for us all to try. SUPER embarrassing. I brought it back here and explained what happened and they refused to replace it. I'll still come here for beer, but I can't recommend this place for expensive bottles of liquor. If you have a problem, they won't help you. read more

We were invited to friend's house for dinner tonight, and I wanted to bring a bottle of the Bombay Bramble gin. El Cerrito's website said that they had 5 "IN STOCK". When I got there, the guy behind the counter said that meant "...we can order it and it will be here in 2 days...". That's not what it means where I come from. I was planning to buy additional items in the same trip. Now now. Not ever. These disingenuous, unapologetic people will never get another dime of my business. From other reviews I have seen here, they apparently also don't answer their phone. Don't waste your time or money here. read more

Great selection no doubt. But I need to bring this up. My complaint is the amount of tax collected at checkout. Each time I've been there, I'm charged at least 12-14% tax. Riverside county has a 8.75% tax rate and nothing more. There is no additional city tax or anything else because no other business in the city of corona (within Riverside county) charges anything more. If this isn't ripping off your customers (fraud), I don't know what is! read more

They have some of the rarest Cognacs and Tequilas that I have seen since moving to California. They also have some steals on some old liquors and wines with unmatched selections I couldn't find at BevMo or Total Wines. They close at 10pm though. read more

El Cerrito Liquor - Beer, Wine & Spirits Near Me - Corona, California

Synopsis: Small unassuming independently owned liquor store in Corona that possibly might have one of the best, if not the best selection in Southern California for beer, spirits, and wine. The owner here also has a healthy barrel pick program for whiskeys. If you are a craft beer/ whiskey geek like myself, this place is a must. I came here the other day to pick up a couple of beers that a friend and myself pre-ordered. Another friend actually had me pick up a case of vodka that he had ordered in addition to a store pick bottle of whiskey. These trips that we make out here have to be efficient because it definitely is not close to where we live but with the selection, prices, and the specific store picks, the trip is almost always worth it. And I actually have been going to this place for years. The first time I went is when I was visiting my girlfriend at the time's parents house. They live in South corona and I found this place on Yelp. When I first walked in, I couldn't believe the selection they had especially since the store does not look that large from the outside. They have a few rows in cases dedicated to spirits. They also have a great selection of not that easy to get beers. So if you're in the know, this is a whiskey and beer person's paradise. Since I've been coming here, they remodeled and actually have a walk in fridge section that contains a treasure trove of craft beer. From time to time I like to pre-order bottles from barrels that Jazz picks from the distilleries. The prices are always pretty fair as well. Even with the allocated bottles I remember getting a bottle slightly above retail but definitely below what other places charge. This place is definitely one of a handful of stores I really love visiting in Southern California. read more

Fantastic selection of tequilas. Very good pricing and helpful employees. Much more convenient than Wines and More.

The ONLY positive thing is that they have Alcohol ... Cashier was rude and didn't greet walk in customer and chatting with his Indian buddy -Zero customer service -store setup is shady .... No cameras and so many blind spots -not sure how they selling Cubans -prices .. nahh! read more

Good selection. Customer service responsive with any delivery issues. Have used multiple times for deliveries.

They have rare and unique alcohols that you may not find anywhere else. They have alcohols costing from $10 to $5k. Only one time they did not have what I was looking for which is very rare but they will get it if they didn't have. read more

I ordered a product that was to be ready in September. I prepaid over $250 and now they say it won't be ready till October. I paid them in May. I am not on SoCal, so my only experience is via their online shop. Shopping online and ensuring you are working with a trusted organization is important, especially with so many available options. I can say with full confidence, El Cerrito is a spectacular option. Their site is easy to navigate, true inventory counts, and are quick with communications. On one order I had a particular ship date that was needed after purchase, and El Cerrito was happy and quick to accommodate. Notifications were fast, packing and shipment were even faster :) I could not be happier with my purchases, Glenfarclas/Hibiki/BossHog!! read more

My buddy and I decided to come here to check out some local beers for a vacation. The place seems small at first but as you reach the back there's a pretty big cooler with a ton of beer in there! From what I could tell you can buy any beer single or grab the four pack. When you get to the point of checking out he makes the four packs for you if you picked different beers. It was definitely hard to choose - they had too many choices which is no complaint. The beers range from 3.99 and up - I spent around $46 for 7 beers but so worth it. If you are a beer lover and enjoy trying out new beers this is definitely your place. Also make sure your following their Instagram - they post beers as they get them in so if you're looking for something popular or new usually they will post. read more

We went to El Cerrito Liquor as it is a favorite spot of a family friend. We found Jazz to be friendly, knowledgeable and will to assist us with finding a bourbon we were looking for. El Cerrito Liquor - El Cerrito Store pick - Beer, Wine & Spirits Near Me - Corona, California

We recently moved back to San Diego after a short stint in Virginia. We had planned to buy a home there. We almost signed the papers, but we just missed California too much. One thing we did love there was a really low cost whiskey made by Bird Dog. It's their Jalapeno Honey flavor. We have been unable to find it at any of the local liquor stores, but I did an internet search and found out it was available here. It's a quick 2 hour drive from SD so we figured, 'why not?'. I called first to make sure that they had it in stock, I was assured that they had 3 bottles. So we set off! It's is a very quick drive, right up the 15N and within 1.5 miles of the exit, a right, a left and we were definitely in the right place (Google Maps is the bomb...and yes I know I just dated myself with that comment!) We walked in and were pointed to the correct spot. Well....he lied, there weren't 3 bottles, THERE WERE 4! And they cost $6 less than we ever paid in a Virginia ABC store (if you don't know what an ABC store is, YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW!). These guys even laughed at my lame 'I'll see you next week for 4 more!' comment. Out the door in less than 5 minutes, with a sweet complimentary box to carry our haul in. I highly recommend Cerrrito Liquors. read more

I visited the store This last June 27, 2024 to pickup an order, the place was busy but with a very friendly environment, the store is loaded with a great selection of Tequilas, I found a couple of G4 Madera tequila at a good price and ended buying 5 bottles all together, maybe I don't have to mention the excellent customer service I receive and will make me come back again. read more

Standard overpriced cluttered dirty liquor store. A lot to choose from at a high price.

Really like this liquor store! They have many unique, hard to find whiskies and craft beers. Prices are competitive and/or better than chain liquor stores. Staff are always pleasant and helpful. read more

Great Selection, get there early cause you're going to need time to look through their massive walk in fridge.

Horrible Service guys just stood there talking to customer as if there wasn't any other customers.

I placed an order and paid extra for express shipping 3 Business days. I received a confirmation that they have shipped it but then received another confirmation 2 days later saying they had shipped it. After 4 business days I checked tracking and it indicated that it is in Oklahoma (I live in Ohio). I am clearly not receiving this "express". I tried calling the number on their site to get reimbursed for the extra express shipping and it is a fax number(?) After sending an email, I did receive a call and received a refund for the express shipping which was good. But if you are ordering on-line, leave extra time. read more

This store used to offer great bourbons/whiskeys at a minimal markup for several years. Not any anymore, for example the Blanton's standard bottle has almost a $100 markup, never mind the rest of the bourbons & whiskies. Great while it lasted but greed won in the end. Being "friendly" doesn't warrant to price gouging. Luckily there are other stores who keep their prices close to SRP. read more
