I drove 45 minutes to get my eyebrows done because finding an eyebrow threader near me seems to be very difficult. The entire situation at La Biotique was awful. Start to finish. First, the woman who did my eyebrows absolutely stunk of cigarettes, and so I had to choke on the smell while she was in my face. Also, she was on the phone the entire time! When she asked what I wanted, I told her how I wanted my eyebrows done and I don't think she even listened. I asked for her to leave them a little bit thick. So after me having to deal with her breathing in my face, while talking on the phone, the entire time, when she showed me my eyebrows, they were thin, and one was significantly thinner than the other one. On top of that, she completely ripped out my piercing. She was too quick, too aggressive, wasn't paying attention, and the whole experience was terrible. I do not recommend this place to anyone. read more

While I typically have gone in for eyebrow waxing in the past, anyone utilizing skin products that contain certain chemicals cannot wax because it can cause your skin to burn during/after the waxing process. After experiencing this once (good estheticians will ask you/remind you prior to beginning your service if you use any "products containing things like retinol A that you should not wax your skin) but all estheticians aren't good so I decided to try threading and I'm pretty happy overall. It's not what I imagined, It is a little painful but comparable to what you feel when getting waxing service performed. I was able to walk in, no wait time and get my upper lip and brow done for $16.00. They charge a 1.00 fee for debit card transactions but considering they were quick, able to grab really fine hairs and did not burn me...that was a dollar well spent! The woman performing the service was professional and while not overly friendly she was there to perform a service, smiled and apologized when she noticed any discomfort on my part. I've done both waxing and threading in the past. I had a horrible waxing experience back in July. It's hard for me to not touch my eyebrows, but to fix the mistake I had to let my brows grow. Fast forward 1 1/2 later, I decided to go back to threading. Mistake. Although staff was nice, after it was done, I was not satisfied. I walked in asking for a clean up and got a thinner eyebrow than the other. And after pointing it out, the lady who did my eyebrows said they were even. They are not. One has a higher arch than the other. She was about to make the other thinner but I was terrified she'd make it worse. So I asked her not to touch it. I will not be returning. read more

It's a gamble coming to La Biotique to get your brows done. Depending on who is working, you'll come out with bomb brows or uneven, skinny eyebrows. When getting your brows done, it should be done right every time. I shouldn't have to tell you that thick, arched brows are in. I'm so upset because I grew my eyebrows out for a while to have beautiful thick, arched brows before my anniversary but ended up getting pencil thin brows that are uneven! I had gone here a few times for my brows and it was fine. Yesterday I went for my lip and brow and she convinced me to do a full face threading. It hurt much worse than normal and when she put the aloe on it burned! There were marks all over my face and she apologized and said they'd be gone in 5 minutes. I woke up this morning with cuts ALL OVER MY FACE. I look like I got into a fight with an alley cat. Not only is it humiliating but it's painful. I called to let them know but the woman said she didn't know who did it. I sent her photos and the receipt. To top it off my lip still had hair and I ended up tweezing it myself. read more

I have been here twice before and never had an issue. I went Saturday 7/13 and for my eyebrows tinted and threaded and by time I was ready for bed I had a terrible rash on both eyebrows and had to go to urgent care today 7/ 16 due to severe rash/infection that migrated to my actual eye. Doctors don't know if it's due to sanitary issues or the dye they use. I would avoid tinting here. read more
