When I walked in, the lady asked if we had an appointment and I told her no, but I had no idea that they go by appointments so she was able to fit us in which I was very grateful for as soon as we walked in we sat in the pedicure chairs and got service right away. My boyfriend and I got the luxury pedicure, and with that comes the wax and hot towels, and also a heated neck pillow. My nail tech Ronnie was so nice and welcoming and also explain to me that with each customer they take their time which I truly appreciate it was so nice in there so relaxing and everyone so nice. My pedicure was so relaxing. They really truly rubbed and got the dead skin off of my feet which was much needed. They do just about any type of meal service or foot service that you might need. They also do waxing which I was very surprised about overall I get this experience a 10 out of 10 I will be back! I truly appreciate how they take their time with each customer because it makes things feel not rushed. Even though this nail shop is a bit of a drive for both me and my boyfriend. Before you left the salon with pure joy expressing your thoughts on how a true professional I am, I even wrote down my favorite brands for violet shampoo & conditioner stressing the fact that you need to purchase these else where if not from me. Not even 2 weeks later you messaged me about your color fading into a regular blonde. (Which I had warned you before many times that that will happen if proper care at home is not maintained). I offered to adjust the color free of charge. You came into the salon showing me your hair and I explained again. I believe that you were the one that did not want anymore chemicals in your hair. I offered the violet shampoo & conditioner to you again, and you denied. You asked me instead of adjusting your color if I could do your daughter's hair in exchange. I agreed to that & you will not be charged for my time to keep you happy. You agreed to just pay for your daughter's product usage which was $115. Your daughter texted me that you loved her hair! Not only did I Balayage your daughter's full hair, but I also had to color correct it from the previous stylist who did her hair. I did not charge you for color correction service. You were only charged for product usage of $115. I think receiving 2 hair coloring services + color correction on 2 separate individuals for the price of one is quite inexpensive. Most balayage prices in the NO metro area starts at $250+ for one individual. It is not a comparison for you to compare my price to your friend's salon on St. Charles. Vicky took me and she was super nice and made beautiful recommendations since I wasn't sure what I wanted to get when I came in. I ended up getting a solar set with four flower encapsulated nails. She pulled out all the flowers she had with her and then suggested some foils that I looked at while she shaped my nails. She was very attentive and paid a lot of attention to detail which I really appreciate. She even went as far as to go on the back side of the nail and file down any spare acrylic which I've never had done before. She made sure she filed down the thickness of the front as well. Whenever I went to my main salon (cute nails don't get me wrong) they always made the nails way too thick and left me wanting more from them. But I can truly say I left 100% happy with my set from L'amour. They were also playing super calming music which almost put me to sleep since I was so relaxed. If you're looking for a nail salon that does on-trend nail designs that look like the pictures (if not better) then you need to see Vicky. I'm glad to have found a new favorite nail salon. He is the reason they didn't just get one star. Based on this experience I made an appointment for today at 1pm, again on my lunch hour, for a basic pedicure. I arrived right on time for my 1pm appointment and not only was every person there with a client they appeared to have just started full sets on everyone. At 1:12 I inquired as to how much longer the wait would be and explained that I was on a schedule, which is why most people make appointments. Of course, I was told 5 minutes. I was seated in a pedicure chair by an older gentleman who turned on the (scalding hot) water and returned to glueing tips on his client. When I told him the water was entirely too hot for me to even put my feet in he simply turned it off leaving me to wait with my feet resting on the side of the bowl. At this point I just wanted them to hurry up with what they were doing. I informed them - at 1:30 - that I was leaving as I could not wait any longer. They all simply watched me walk out the door with no acknowledgement or apology. Here's a suggestion. Do NOT accept appointments if you cannot honor them. And don't be rude to those customers who made an appointment, showed up on time for their appointment, then were essentially ignored and jerked around.
