We went here looking for callos. This was off of a simple google search…read more
Came in at around 5 and they were closed for siesta. Came back at 7 after walking around the area.
After coming back, we saw a tapas tour coming in. They came there for the croquettes and the vermut.
We ordered the boletos, sweetbreads, pulpo, and, of course, the callos. The server tried to help us out and said those should be enough since there was just 2 of us dining.
They give you free iberico with cheese and crispy pork belly for appetizers.
Every dish was a hit!
Boletos with egg and truffle felt very rustic, savory, delicious. Truffle was not overpowering, mushrooms were fresh.
Sweetbreads was our favorite out of the meal. It was like a step down from actual foie gras. Goes well with beer and wine.
The galician pulpo was the best one we had on our trip, and we had 3 of them beforehand.
And lastly the callos. At this point we've already hit a wall with all the food we had, servings were a good size per dish. It was rich, decadent, and perfectly cooked. It doesn't have the offal aftertaste you get from tripa that's ill prepared.
We had multiple beers and wines throughout the meal. The service was personally phenomenal. They checked on us constantly and made sure the food was as we expected.
We're going back for lunch tomorrow
