Love this hidden gem! This place is decorated so cutely and is on the edge of mason and cinco ranch! Never would've discovered it but cant wait to go back! This place had the best service ever. I sampled their daniels chocolate, which was a little too rich for me to eat the whole thing, so i ordered the mascarpone raspberry. It tasted very similar to strawberry but was also very tart and sweet. You can never go wrong with their fruity flavors.They have so many different unique flavors that ive never seen before,and im so willing to go back and try all of them! The price is also very cheap, especially for the gourmet gelato you are getting! They pile gelato way above your cup too, so getting a small is more than enough in my opinion! Fresh ingredients, tasty gelato, great little nook to eat it in, I liked it! The pistachio was fantastic, I also tried the fig, the lime basil also good but a bit tart.The basil comes through nicely though on that and it's a recommendation if you like tart-y. La Argentina Gelato is an artisanal gelato shop that focuses on using natural flavors and quality ingredients. You can tell from the intense flavors and the creamy texture. Eating their ice cream is a luxury. Although they make some simple flavors as well, they push the limits on new flavor combinations and even push the limits with how the traditional flavors taste. They have amazed me with their quality and it gets addicting . I've been there at least 6 times in the past 2 months. Here are a few things I've tried: Coffee - 5/5 - Strong, not too acidic. Tea - 4/5 - nothing special but still good Daniel's chocolate - 5/5 - The delicious chunks of chocolate fudge or brownie. Rich. Dark. Just amazing. Pistachio - 5/5 - lots of chunks of pistachios. Creamy and slightly sweetened. My favorite ice cream of all time. Ginger rose- 5/5 - Aromatic. Well balanced. Peach blossom - 5/5 - Aromatic. Sweet and refreshing. I've also tried samples of almost all their flavors. Everything is delicious. The ones I listed were my all time favorite from ALL and ANY gelato shops. As I try to type up the descriptions, I realize it is difficult to describe how decadent, well-balanced, and flavorful all their ice cream taste. The customer service is amazing here. I love the ambiance. It's very chilly so bring a jacket. It's a nice place to study during the day. It's a great place to spend time with the family especially in the hot Texas weather. This shop, hidden in a lottle strip center down Mason Rd, has been in Katy for the past 3 years & even though I've lived here for the past 8 years I just discovered La Argentina yesterday! I was hoping this place would be a blend of Italian & Argentinian ways of making Gelato (due to Argentina's close past to Italy) and I was right. They use a combination of both countries techniques and ingredients when making their Gelato, and it results in a wonderfully smooth & rich tasting Gelato. Amazing gelato shop. At first sight, it was in a small hidden area. I'm so glad we gave it a chance though. The lady was super nice and let us try almost every flavor. They all stood out, in the end we ended up with Tiramisi, a hazelnut one, and pistachio. Tiramisu had swirls of cocoa and incredibly creamy and rich. Tastes exactly like the cake except. The hazelnut one was out of this world. Don't even get me started on pistachio. For someone who loves pistachio, this was the best pistachio icecream I've ever had. Piacolla (s/p??) is hazlenut which is my favorite. It's pretty similar to pistachio but I love the bits of pistachio nuts in the gelato. I also love passion fruit but it was a little too sweet for me. Cookies and cream is really creamy. A small includes two flavors with generous portions ~$5. They're a little pricey but you forget about the cost once you dig in ;) They also sell coffee, other sweet drinks, and desserts like cake and macarons. On Tuesdays, they do bogo free gelato! I've been here a number of times now and this place deserves every one of its 5 stars. Their gelato is fresh, unique and everything you want in a frozen dessert. Their store is clean, full of neat little treats and surprises, if you blink you will miss the little chocolates just to the right of the register. I've yet to find a place a place that matched my favorite gelato place in Seattle, until now. One thing unique about La Argentina is their gelato is not on display like most other places, you do need to ask about some of their flavors and they will gladly give samples. Daniel chocolate is my favorite but their coconut is really great as well. Their Dulce de Leche is also a great choice and I loved the pistachio I had today as well. In fact, I went back for a 2nd time in the same week. The flavors I tried are: Cookies and Cream-very creamy with the perfect amount of cookie bits. Almond and fig - it was good but not a favorite so far. The almond flavoring was dead on and there are morsels of fig. Strawberry-yummy natural strawberries in gelato are a dream. Super Dulce de Leche-very very good. Has a chocolatey flavor with pieces of caramel throughout. This would be my favorite so far. Apple and cream cheese- can't remember the name but it's wonderful. The apple flavor does not overwhelm the cream cheese so it makes for a wonderful combination. I was also allowed to taste one of the bonboms, which was dark chocolate filled with strawberry gelato.
