Service was fast and friendly. The Hood is conveniently located in the beer garden of a local brewery; what can he better than a burger and beer with the ambiance of a beautiful park? I will definitely be back.

Beer and burgers to celebrate a couple birthdays. It was cooler the day we decided to go. But, we made it work! We dressed warm, pushed a couple picnic tables together and got ourselves situated. After peeping out the menu, we all finally decided what we were having. There were four separate families so one by one we made our way to get our orders in. My daughter got a double onion burger, my husband the single cheeseburger and I got a bunless double Hood burger. My husband did order a grilled cheese last minute. He's a huge grilled cheese lover so of course he had to check it out. We were the last family to get our order in so by the time we got our food, the other three families were ready for boxes. We did get our grilled cheese first. Not going to lie, as hot and fresh as it was, our bun over overly charred. I understand that a grilled cheese would have a crispy sides to it but the top and bottom of the bun was black. As an adult, we ate part of it but if I were to give this to a kid, you know that kid isn't going to eat it. We ate a third of it and basically tossed it. It wasn't the cheapest grilled cheese so it sucked not enjoying the whole thing. I had asked the chef to make sure that my burger patties were well well well done. With my new kidney, I can't have my meat not fully cooked. She ensured me that they cook all their burgers well done so I didn't need to request it. Well, unfortunately parts of my burger patties were still pink despite of asking for them to be well done. I did enjoy the edges of my burger patties. The sauce, onions and cheese were so tasty on it! I had to eat around the lettuce after forgetting to tell them I can't have it. Overall, The parts of the burger I had were good. The bun on my husband's burger was night and day compared to the grilled cheese. He very much enjoyed his burger. My daughter ate about half and plans on polishing the rest tomorrow. We paid close to 75 bucks to have a burnt grilled cheese and a couple of burger patties that weren't fully cooked. It's cool I got to mark them off my to go list. But, paying that much and not being able to eat all your food is something I don't want to do again. If we ever come back, maybe I'll hit this joint up or I might just find another joint to eat at while kickin it the Bruery.

The prices on the menu weren't updated, so I wasn't sure how much anything costed - it just showed as "88.88" on every item. We ordered a taco combo, birria burrito, and a Mexican coke which came out to ~$27. We ended up waiting close to 40 minutes for ours to come out. Unfortunately, the hype fell short for us. The salsa cups were barely half full, and mostly more spice than flavor. The tortillas on the tacos and burrito weren't toasted - they fell apart while we holding them. The birria burrito came with a consommé that was great, but the burrito itself was wrapped poorly. The meats in each of the items were fine, but not as great as the reviews praised them to be. Perhaps we got them on a bad day? All in all, it's an okay taco truck.

I was really struggling between the BBQ pork tots and the loaded tots, but due to my love of cheese, I opted for the loaded tots. Ordering was simple and friendly. I was assured my tots would only be a few minutes....until a few minutes turned into 20. I checked in several times and the team was sad to report their fryers had voluntarily turned off. They assured me they were eagerly waiting to get my food ready and after that 20 minutes, I finally got to feast my eyes on my glorious loaded tots. It was a true joy to see that stack of bacon (they rewarded my wait with extra), sour cream, cheese and green onions. The sad part is that everyone in my party was done eating by the time I got my food, so they just watched me eat. However, that didn't stop me from diving in. The ingredients were obviously top notch. My tots were not as crispy as I had hoped, so the cheese wasn't as melty...but the sour cream and crispy bacon crumbles brought everything together like a hug from a long lost friend. I wish the prices were a little lower and my tots were crispy, but overall, a nice experience.
