We flew from San Francisco to Miramar to stay at our niece's house for a few days before our Eastern Caribbean cruise trip. One of the restaurants we ate at is this place. It is actually a half bakery and half eatery. First time trying out Columbian though. However, when I saw the liver w onions I know I had to order them lol. I know I know .. Im supposed to order their specials or any local and traditional dish from their menu but I have been craving for liver for a while now lol And it was so good and tender! So it did not disappoint! But my cousins ordered the one with rice, fried egg, pork belly and black beans on the side. 3 of them ordered same thing! Lol ! So I didn't really get to taste their authentic dish. So this review is just basically focused on the place itself, I must say. It's not a fancy restaurant but it has a lot of good stuff. They even have like a cargo/mail service? So it is a bakery but they have pretty much varieties on their menu though. Plus they have fresh fruit juices. I ordered the guyabano/soursop juice then my bro in law got their mango juice. They're both good and fresh too. And ityreal fruits not artificial sweetener and flavors Anyways, the place is clean and the service is excellent and no doubt about it. I am giving a 4 star for now though I have not tasted most of their items from the menu. They have lots of pastries too. They have cute mini ice cream too w different flavors. To be honest their pork belly is a little overcooked but the skin was not crispy enough. We weren't able to eat the skin. We got some empanadas too and they were so good! But overall I definitely recommend the place. Will need to come back so I can get to taste some from their menu and update my review read more

Great lunch spot. This has quickly become our preferred lunch place for our lunch crew. The moment you walk in, the first thing you notice is the bakery case filled with all the tradicional Colombian pastries, empanadas and fresh pan de bono, all warm and inviting. The place is spacious, with a steady flow of people coming in and out. Place stays busy with customers ordering and grabbing pastries or sitting down for lunch. Behind the counter, you see the staff pouring coffee and heating up pastries. Staff is really friendly and fast. Food was good. We ordered the mini bandeja paisa and honestly there was nothing mini about it. Steak was a nice size and cooked well. Beans were excellent and flavorful. Definitely a proper bandeja paisa. A solid reliable lunch spot with great energy and fresh food and pastries. read more

Large Colombian restaurant serving fresh pastries, full meals and coffee. Ordered a colada with a panoleta which was a flaky pastry stuffed with guava and thick cheese. A perfect post lunch snack. They provide a separate booth offering Vigo money transfers by Western Union which is common in these family style South American eateries. Not much English spoken here but I got by alright with my broken speech. The gender assigned bathroom was spacious and clean with smooth beige slatted tile wall panels and large gray ceramic floor tiles. read more

My experience at this restaurant was absolutely terrible. The way customers are treated is unacceptable, and I witnessed behavior that came across as racist and discriminatory. No one should feel unwelcome or be treated differently because of their race or background. The hygiene was also extremely concerning. I noticed cockroaches in the restroom, which is completely unacceptable for any establishment serving food. The restroom appeared poorly maintained, and the overall cleanliness left a lot to be desired. A restaurant should prioritize cleanliness, customer respect, and a safe environment. Unfortunately, this place fell far short of those basic expectations. I would strongly encourage management to address these concerns, improve sanitation, and take complaints about discriminatory treatment seriously. read more

Come here for the empanadas! This place has the best ones I have found in FL. They sell so many that they are always fresh. I even found them better than when I visited Medellin! Pan de bono full of cheese. Morcillas first rate. Never disappointed with the baked goods or the regular menu. read more

Excellent food and service . Real Colombian platos . We had arroz con pollo . Don Hector is the chef

Delicioso toda la comida. Deisy G nos atendió espectacular. Siempre es una experiencia fenomenal.

I didn't go for two months to that Restaurant and I went today, I noticed they changed the menu and obviously the prices. It doesn't make any sense!35 for breakfast + tips. Guys come on this is an abuse, we are located in Pembroke Pines not in south beach. read more

Came here on Saturday morning since the family was craving a typical Colombian breakfast. It wasn't too busy which it was great since there was plenty of setting . The full breakfast includes meat and arepa , but everything that you buy here it's so good . The arepa de choclo was warm and delicious with cheese on top. read more

If you're looking for the BEST Colombian food, look no further than La Antioqueña in Pembroke Pines, FL! I've been coming here for years, and they never disappoint. Even though I've moved to Texas, I'm a faithful customer to this spot and I must visit every time I'm back in my hometown. The staff is incredibly friendly, the restaurant is always clean, and the service is quick. But the star of the show? The food. It's consistently fresh, flavorful, and tastes like it's made with pure love. You know ain't nobody angry back there cooking food this good! La Antioqueña has set the standard for authentic Colombian cuisine for me, and I'll stay a loyal customer no matter where I live. Don't walk, RUN to this gem of a restaurant. You won't regret it! read more

I came here just for a little snack and to my surprise this restaurant has the best sancocho soup I ha e found so far. I get the hen soup and oxtail soup on Saturdays. This dish is so delicious my mom is so picky and lived it. I also get the short rib beef soup on Sundays. They do not make sancocho soup on any other days fyi. I also love the fresh juices they offer. I get the soursop, mango, pineapple and berry. The hostesses is very friendly and was helpful when I walked in. They also have a large seating area for families. The restaurant is very quaint and clean. Looks like a diner atmosphere but has a bakery as well in the restaurant with fresh pastries and breads. I will be back again and try more. But my favorite is the soups and the fresh juices so far. Try it let me know what else is good. read more

This has been a go to for me for years!!! A little taste of home. This place is located inside a plaza with plenty of parking. You won't miss it because the windows have a Colombian glad sticker all over them. When you walk in you have two options you can sit down and eat restaurant style or you can walk up to the counter and order cafeteria style. I usually just go up to the counter and order. The people at the counter are always so nice and efficient they want to get you in and out. My go to are always the empanadas and the jugo de lulo. The juice is made on the spot when you order it and the empanadas are always fresh and delicious. I like them so much that I have catered them for parties at my house. If you like spice get the spicy sauce... sooo delicious with the empanadas but watch out because it has a little kick. If you want some Colombian treats this place is authentic and delicious you won't regret it. read more

Cafeteria style restaurant. Solid Colombian food. I really enjoy their whole fried fish, coconut rice and tostones. We don't order as much because sometimes they don't pick up the phone. read more

Food is authentic made to perfection. I'm not Colombian but my mom worked in a salon for years with mostly Colombians so I know when it's made from a Colombian grandma's recipe. The service was simple and so quick. When I placed my order for pick up she advised me 5-10 mins and it was ready to go as soon as I walked in. Very sweet and attentive staff. read more

This place is the best place to grab your Colombian fix of great food. We've been coming here for years, since my parents live in the area and the food can't be beat! A reasonably priced Colombian restaurant located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. Large portions in every item we ordered. The food tasted fresh. The fried pork belly I ordered was a bit bland and the meat was tough. The ground beef was good. The beef tongue was great. The service was decent but not very attentive. You have to flag your server for just about everything. read more

The restaurant has caught on to me almost like a hidden gem in plain sight. The service was nice. I found the restaurant to be 100% authentic in its identity, which I love and appreciate. I find it awesome to not be from a certain place, yet upon entering an establishment, you feel like you've teleported. For me personally, I find the food okay( my side salad came with no dressing) and the Chicharron isn't for me. Withthe menu can be a little confusing/too much going on. The spices are on point though .However, the GEM of the restaurant to me is the bakery . I honestly thought Argentinian empanadas were the best until I tried the restaurants empanadas. I can honestly say IM HOOKED to their empanadas and dessert options. It's honestly so hard now to just buy out all their empanadas (their worth it). read more

This is more a breakfast spot for me. I'm a huge fan of colombian food so having a local spot for breakfast is a winner for me. My usual is either the pineapple juice or hot chocolate, pan de bono, and huevos pericos with an arepa and queso. I know I just did some major spanglish there but at least you'll know how to order so you're welcome...lol Breakfast is great and will fill you up for the rest of the day...literally! They get busy on weekend mornings and service can sometimes be a little slow, but definitely worth it all once you try! read more

I recently returned to Pembroke Pines to visit with my non-Colombian wife and she had a craving for a Colombian breakfast CALENTADO, what a dissapointment! The calentado was tasteless and very expensive. $16+ for a pre-heated rice and beans, scrambled eggs (pericos) were tasteless because they are not made with scallions (green onions) as they should be made. The carne asada tasteless. The arepa once it's cold is hard as a rock because they are made from areparina flour instead of real corn. Price does not included coffee or hot chocolate. Thank god we only ordered one portion to share. The only good thing about this joint is the staff is somewhat pleasant. What a rip off! will not be returning! read more

This store is right off the main road (Pine) in the middle of a very long shopping center. There is plenty of parking in front of the store. Be careful because people drive very quickly through the parking lot and don't pay attention to pedestrians. They have a large seating area with about 20 to 30 four person tables. I do not know if there is table service. We ordered at the counter. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The patrons were even more helpful and gave us several suggestions. We tried 3 different types of their empenadas (chicken, meat and cheese) and cafe con leche. The food was very good and the price was reasonable. I would recommend this to fellow travellers. read more

La Antioquena - Main sign - Colombian Near Me - Pembroke Pines, Florida

Great Columbian restaurant. Menu seems authentic. Prices and portions are both great. Being that I am a pure gringo, I do not know much about the difference between Cuban, Columbian, Dominican, or Peruvian food. I came here for the first time with a Spanish friend of mine, and he spoke to the authenticity of the menu. When you walk in, there is a counter directly in front of you, some dessert options of the left, and 20-30 tables on the right. If you are eating in, you can seat yourself. They have TVs playing Spanish news, and there waiter spoke to us in Spanish. Lucky for me, he knew enough English to take my order without issue. We were helped almost immediately upon sitting, and he took our drink orders while giving us menus. The service was very good. The one set back for me, which seems to be standard practice in Spanish lunch spots, is that the soda is served in a can so there is no free refill. I ordered fajitas and my friend ordered chicken with vegetables. Mine came with red beans, rice, and french fries. I believe you chooses your kind of potato. So for less than $13, you get a huge plate of fajitas, rice and beans, and a potato side of your choice. The pricing seems like great value. The food came out quickly, and was very good. I not this is not a traditionally Columbian dish, but it was still very tasty and filling. My friend enjoyed his as well, and we both agreed we would not hesitate to come back. If great food and service at a solid price is your jam, check out La Antioquena. read more

Staff is wonderful, why the one star? Last week we were there and I notice an extra charge on my receipt thats said CC. I asked and the owner has decided to charge customers the Credit Card charge the business gets charged on each transaction. This is part of doing business, so why get so greedy and flip the charge to your customers? Many people are unemployed and are having a hard time with bills, and this owner decided to add an extra charge to their customers that should be theirs... last time I'm coming to this place. When I see they stop doing this, I might be back.... read more

Tried this place for the first time a few months ago, and the baked goods were average at best (we ordered about $30 worth and sampled quite a bit). Cafe con leche tasted like dirt, so do yourself a favor and skip it. As I was in the area today, and craving for pan de Bono and chicharron, I decided to drop in for a quick bite. After waiting for about 5 mins at the takeout line, I took a few steps forward, right behind the person who was in front of me, to see what cooked stuff was available. A middle aged man then called out to the lady that came after me, and I told him I came first. The nice lady said the same to him. He refused to serve me and said I was not in line. I tried explaining the situation and he gave me a hand gesture which pissed me off so much that I simply walked away. If you are not interested in my business, I will not give you any. There are tons of Colombian food around that taste so much better. Save your snobbishness and I wish you the very best. Maybe sign up for customer service 101 in your spare time. To my Asian brothers and sisters, please boycott this racist establishment. It is a blessing in itself NEVER TO STEP FOOT IN HERE. read more

No tuve para nada buena experiencia. read more

The place was spacious and bustling with music and people enjoying their meals (I went around lunch time on a Sunday). I explained what I wanted to eat, and they kindly pointed out the different options on the menu. I ended up getting the chicken breast, which came with a salad and beans on the side. The lady helping me packaged everything with care. The portion size was very generous and worth the money. Everything was tasty, fresh, and perfectly cooked. I also ordered a mango with milk drink, which was great. The pandebono was the best I've had. I look forward to visiting again! read more
